  1. I know going in blind is a virtue to some, but knowing a release date of a game that may or may not show up is at least not that much of a spoiler.
  2. When achievements are implemented correctly, they add to the game, make you do something you wouldn't have done otherwise or make you go somewhere that you wouldn't have thought of. I like that. However,785 % of the achievements I got on Xbox 360 were just grinding or doing something strange that didn't provide me with more fun in the game. Pricewise, I think they should launch it at the same price the Switch is now and then either give the OG Switch a price drop or phase it out completely.
  3. He went with our proposal in the end. He tries to make it legal and if he doesn't succeed, we get a sum of money that we can use to make it legal - which would require us to tear it down or at least a part of it. But the most likely scenario is that it is just accepted and everyone is happy. But yeah, tearing it down and rebuilding it would likely be more expensive than what we would get and devalue the house a bit. We were perhaps a bit too soft on the seller but we also didn't want him to turn us down and sell to someone else. It's a seller's market here at the moment with house prices having risen almost 14 % in Copenhagen over the last year - and it was expensive before. There aren't enough houses for sale and many want to buy houses now as well.
  4. I've caught up to what's been released of The Handmaid's Tale season 4 now. This season is much, much better than the third season which was just 80 % filler with no real advancement to the story. This season, however, we have seen much more character development and the story is far more interesting. I still find it hard to believe that such a dramatic change to society could happen in just 7 years (in s4 ep7 June says that's it's been 7 years now). I know, Nazi Germany happened in a shorter time span but still. I could have accepted 10 or 15 years but I know that wouldn't work with the story of June and Luke losing their newborn daughter. Now I just want to see Gilead burn down. Next up is The Mare of Easttown which is getting very good reviews. We'll probably spice that up with some Cobra Kai to have something a bit more lighthearted on the side but we don't have much time for watching television these days so it'll probably be some time before we finish that.
  5. A German tabloid has posted an article about the new Switch. Erm. https://www.t-online.de/digital/id_90107170/nintendo-switch-diese-geruechte-von-neuer-version-ab-herbst-kursieren.html
  6. I've tried Beat Saber once. It really is good fun and I can understand people getting hooked. I have a friend who's using it (and the Occulus Quest in general) for weight loss and training. It apparently works well for him.
  7. There is a spare room - is that alright?
  8. Ugh, if it comes out this year, I can't buy it. Just bought a house, can't afford anything else...!
  9. Yeah, I agree. The teaser had something mysterious about it that triggered me but I know nothing about The Eternals at all, and i don't really care for a new bunch of heroes. I'll need to see more from trailers before deciding.
  10. Played the first game on Switch when it came out. Enjoyed it very much so could be tempted with the sequel. But having just bough a house when it comes out, I'll probably just wait for a sale.
  11. Real words are not accepted. So would have to replace every second or third character with other characters. I tell you, it's an insanely complex requirement! But I got LastPass to generate a password for me and then I'll have to copy-paste that to the VDI when I need to enter my password.
  12. Tried that as well but it didn't work for some reason. Now I'll generate a strong password and copy it to a keylogger from which i can copy and paste it to the VDI. Seriously - how secure is that then?
  13. My work has introduced new requirements for passwords and they are so complex that I can't make any password that I can remember and enter relatively quickly. And to make matters worse, they are to be updated regularly. Have nobody told IT security people that frequent change of password will LOWER security? And I can't use a key logger because I need to logon through a Citrix workspace / VDI. They should instead set-up some sort of MFA. Passwords are oldschool.
  14. Indeed. Pull Fi - select "go to surface / sky" - voila.
  15. They just spent almost two minutes demonstrating this.... two minutes!
  16. Sad, but it's really good of them to announce that!
  17. The buying process has been stretched quite a bit for me. Both the seller of the house and I had accepted the deal but our lawyer had to go through the contract. He found that the garage had not been approved by the authorities and that it was too big to be instantly approved so he advised us to make the seller get it approved - and if it couldn't be approved, we should get a refund of about 3.1 % of the amount we pay for the house. The seller did not accept the amount - he suggested 1.5 %. We refused and now we've been waiting for more than a week for the seller to return to us. This is a bit frustrating.
  18. Just finished watching the new episodes of Love, Death + Robots . Overall, I didn't find them quite as good as the old episodes but there were some great stories in there. Pop Squad really stood out to me but I also enjoyed Automated Customer Service because of its absurdity. All Through the House was also quite funny.
  19. I can't remember how far I got before it got a bit too much. Think it was season 2. If it weren't for everything else I need and want to watch, I could be tempted to give it another go.
  20. Same with me. However, for some reason, I did enjoy BotW when I played it. It had enough points of interests and I made some sub-tasks for me to complete (find all shrines, find some dragon, find each memory, ...).
  21. I had it on my list and then googled reviews, just to get an indication of how it compared. I then removed it from my list again. Shame, as I really like Millar's comics.
  22. Calculator comes to Switch tomorrow. At a hefty £8.09! No trailer has been released. But it's got a scientific mode! I do hope they have added achievements for longevity.
