Alright. So four people think it's a spoiler and one doesn't think it. It's not a spoiler then. Why is it a spoiler? Well, no earlier trailer has shown the kingdom at all. Or even implied that it was there. I agree with HoT - just say it's a bug in the post-game levels and everyone is happy.
-
It's a major spoiler. I was so surprised when I saw it in the game, having no clue it was there. Also... the nice thing would have been to actually post a link or something to how to circumvent it. I've collected the apples and I miss one that I simply cannot find. Guess this is the bug?

That one took me so many tries. The second one, that is, did the first one by capturing the Bullet Bill.

It's out tomorrow according to everywhere I can see...? Also, launch trailer:

Seems like Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap gets a physical edition in Europe as well. @Grazza

I didn't enjoy Snake Pass that much and gave up on it on the fourth level. The challenge mainly comes from the controls and while that is interesting it also gets frustrating. I don't think I have the patience for that. It did have a nice setting, though.

Yeah, I know. But is it fun? Not in the least. And I just know that I'll miss the shot after 90 hits or something.

I'm still tidying up, collecting moons from various kingdoms. I'm up to the Seaside Kingdom and it's really a chore. I still need 10 or so and I have no clue where they are which unfortunately makes me spend too much time in this kingdom. May want to skip the Volley-ball challenge as it's nothing but a chore to reach the 100 returns. This and Lake Kingdom are just so slow and boring to explore.

It means that a lot of people downloaded it but almost none bought the full game.

That jump rope minigame sucks. My best is 74 and jumping on "Hey!" doesn't work for me. Neither does button mashing.
-
Yeah, got past it yesterday evening and cleared everything else in my first go. I successfully did this yesterday in a race that was really hard. Long jump, throw hat, dive to hat. Got quite far but it took a lot of tries. I also suddenly discovered a secret area

Damn. I hoped I could be first... But I still have trouble with

I would totally enjoy a game with only those sections. Still trying to conquer Champion's Road. The second section is too tricky and it takes so much time to get there... I have and love it.

I reached the final kingdom yesterday after some amount of Power Moons. I haven't completed it yet but it doesn't seem as hard as previous Champion's Roads. I think I got about halfway before I accidentally fell down. Other than that, I have tried to complete each kingdom but I just can't figure out how to obtain some specific moons, and I missed some art or pictures in other kingdoms.

Impressive. One thing I've yet to discover after completing the story is this:
-
That was my reaction as well! Everything about that is so awesome.

When you start a level, you have some objectives that result in a moon or two. After this part, you just stumble upon them as you explore. There is a list so you know how many moons are in a level and you can get hints for the names of some moons on the list from a parrot in each level. And then amiibo can help too.
-
Haha, yeah. Opinions are terrible, they get in the way of so many friendships. But it's not as bad as it might sound from my post. I still want to gather all moons and I wouldn't want to do that if it were awful. I have almost completed Sand Kingdom now. The last few moons are a mystery to me, though.

I gave the game a 4/5 rating. Why? Well, to say the least, the game is a joy to play, pure and simple. It's so good for the most part, it's gorgeous to look at and the soundtrack is amazing. What I disliked, though, is that it's so easy it's almost boring to progress. Moons are everywhere and you quickly gather what you need to progress. Only the curiousity for what comes next is a driving force in that regard. Furthermore, it lacks platforming elements. They are almost completely gone and replaced with captures for the most part. This is a bit sad as platforming is what makes a Mario-game for me. There are also too many moons. It's not fun to look for a spot in the ground. And it's so hard to find them all because of this, or it's tedious and trivial. My last concern is that it doesn't feel a whole lot like Mario. There are only a few classic Mario-items in the game. That's a shame. Otherwise, the game is really good to play. I spent about 11 hours to reach the credits and still have a lot of moons to find. There is a bonus to find them all.

Just saying, the post-game is where the real fun starts...! And you can't complete each world right off the bat, you need to go back later on. This is true. I've played mostly in handheld mode but had to take off the JoyCons at some points in order to perform some moves.
-
That could be me. I have it for reviewing but no worries, I'm not spoiling anything.
-
Depends... There are no real puzzles in the game but it's more about discovering places and caves to get equipment that is stronger than what you've already got. Then it's much more about combat and fighting. There is also more story to it than in any Zelda game and lots of interesting side-quests. It's really a good game all in all.

Today is the one year anniversary of the reveal of the Switch. I.e. one year ago, we got this: Quite the year!

Yes. Full update log: I tried watching it full screen here (24" display) and it was like... "ouch, my eyes!!" There's a video here, though, from Zelda: That looks much better, though still a bit unclean. The editor wrote this: "It's an MP4 file, 1280x720 resolution, 30 fps, encoded as H.264, with AAC stereo audio at 48kHz. The bitrate is 4.38Mbit/s."
