  1. Easy now, there will be more titles to play this first part of 2018. Not everything can or should be be crammed into a Direct (especially not one lasting 15 minutes). And while Dark Souls for instance is a port, it's a port of a game that never hit a Nintendo console before. TWEWY is a port and remaster of an old game. Yes, porting Wii U games is a bit cheap for Wii U-owners, especially when there is nothing added (DKCTF adds nothing at all - Funky Kong is easy mode) but there were also some new things, and Kirby releases way sooner than expected.
  2. Well, to be fair this seems like it's only part of the content they are going to bring to Switch during the spring. Nothing here reached out further than May. Though the amount of remasters was disappointing to previous Wii U-owners, the Direct itself was really good with a nice rythm and speedy announcements. I'll probably only dip into Fe of the lot.

  4. Yeah, I've also wondewred about that. It seems weird that they don't just cut off the battle before you win it. That happened a lot to me as well at some point where I was just having Rex on my team. Remember you can pick out an enemy by clicking R and then D-pad down to throw a rock at it.
  5. That's actually interesting. But I hope not. I rather hope they announce it for tomorrow afternoon. Fits me better.
  6. Haha, I love it. But I also hate that they haven't announced it yet.
  7. Oh, I thought cancelling auto-attack was using Specials right after the attack hits. Now you're saying there something more? So just a little flick with the control stick right after the attack connects? Gotta try that later on.
  8. It seems that we at least can expect something to be announced soon. According to this tweet from Nintendo of Russia: From NintendoLife http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2018/01/nintendo_of_russia_appears_to_confirm_incoming_nintendo_direct
  9. Well, yet another 4PM CET came and went and no Direct was announced.
  10. Auto-attack was frustrating at first but now I'm glad that I don't have to mash the button all the time. Sometimes I can actually take a sip of my coffee while battling. And you can cancel the auto-attacks a little later on and unleash more powerful attacks. So yes, it does make sense.
  11. 12. Watched the first two episodes of Preacher last night. I hadn't expected it to be that far out but it seems great. Will definitely watch some more of it, i.e. watch season 1 at least.
  13. Hah, yeah. But ~21 hours? Also, I haven't seen them. Had to stop as soon as the fight was over so I'm saving those for next time.
  14. Oh no, the timer is wrong in the game! It went from 17-ish hours to 38-ish hours when saving last time for me. And I save more often than that. Sigh. Can't handle such things.
  15. Yeah, most likely fake. But it's a good job, it really looks like the Switch menu and acts as it as well.
  16. Finished Chapter 3 last night. That last fight was really hard, I think, even though I was even-levelled with the enemies. It was good, though
  17. I've just been assigned to a new project. I work on Mainframe systems and that's not the most modern solution to work on but it's manageable. However, the new project is on an even older version of the system which basically means that half the tools that I'm used to working with and using frequently are gone, and then the architecture is hopeless - and defined in 1990 and not really changed since. I hope I'm wrong when I suspect that it's going to be a bit of an uphill struggle. However, I applied for a position as back-end .NET-engineer back in July but had to take down the application again due to my son not being well. Now he's well again and the same place just put up a new job advert for the same position. So I'll just apply again and hope that they don't really need someone too experienced even though the advert states it.

  20. Chromecast takes ages as well. Like 30 seconds of holding down a button to reset it. It's a very weird design choice!
  21. I lied before, I was actually in Chapter 3. Being in Chapter 2 must have flown right by my nose. Oh well. I just met with some weirdo character calling himself Bringer of Chaos in Chapter 3. Though I'm really enjoying the game, it goes so slow for me that I'm afraid I'll be playing this game for several weeks to come, building a huge backlog for me. I don't do more games at once in general, especially not with one which is as complex as this one. Just learned about chain attacks but I need more blades to make that more fun, I guess.
  22. I agree, working from home is awesome. I'm doing it a lot since getting my son in July and not having much to do at work was perfect for me, though a bit boring.
  23. New patch live. I'm up to Chapter 2 (took a break when Zelda DLC hit). I'm really feeling it but the battles so far have been a bit on autopilot. I don't get the combo-thing with the others and I feel there is too much customisation in the game for my taste. Would rather want one good weapon that I could just upgrade or buy a new version of rather than change the its abilities with the cores. But I'll manage and see if I can learn the deeper mechanics at some point.
  24. Yeah, the weather update has been really nice and made a lot new Pokémon appear to me. I had a break from August last year to July this year so had a lot of catching up to do but I constantly ran into the same 15-ish Pokémon so couldn't get that far. Now, though, I see a nice variety and have built my collection to almost 200 with quite a few evolutions ready for a Lucky Egg.
