  1. I've got an alternative theory... You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse It's the only explanation!
  2. Is this real life!? EDIT: Hah! Some bloke on Miiverse is asking her how do you make the game colourful! Ah, Miiverse. I can always rely on you for sheer ignorance. DOUBLE EDIT: And now she's won over 300 coins on small wins alone! What is even happening with her game!?
  3. I saw it happen and I still don't believe you. And then literally a minute of play later... You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse

View post in Miiverse I think my previous Miiverse post has really confused some poor bloke who can't comprehend that I chose Nidoran over Mankey because I think Nidoking is cool. Anyway, @Ugh first aid and I had a battle. (Because we can do that) She won. But the fight had it's fair share of laughs. It did degrade to my Sandslash and her Pidgeotto throwing sand at each other like bickering children in a sand pit until my Sandslash ran away, presumably crying. And when things weren't going my way after she paralyzed two of my Pokemon with Body Slam in a row, I may have tried to capitalise on it by attempting the Dig glitch. When she copped on to what I was trying when I willingly chose to use Dig on Pidgeotto, she was less than pleased. Luck wasn't on my side though, and the match ended with her Nidoqueen throwing herself on to my Nidoking. Pretty low tactic, I think. No Nidoking would bother fighting with those kind of advances in his face.
  5. See? Isn't it great when we all get along? You should all have a group hug and leave me out of it because I don't do hugs. No seriously, leave me out of it.
  6. My most remembered Pokemon moment is playing through Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness. In particular, one moment around 2 thirds of the way in where the big twist hits home. I couldn't believe such a good plot was coming from a Pokemon spin-off game. I was actually jaw dropped for a moment. (Best thing was, it's foreshadowed beautifully)
  7. Fishing was the best thing about the Wii version of Twilight Princess. Those controls were brilliant. The Gamecube, and by extension the WiiU version just won't be the same.
  8. That Earthbound image is perfection, it's so simple! Also, @Hero\-of\-Time, using the infinite item glitch before beating the Elite 4? Tsk, tsk... Anyway, I finally started this. You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse Scratchy is the Pikachu (Named after those hilarious voice samples) Nicholas is a Nidoran (Male) I might have done more, but the sluggish pace just made me want to play more Mystery Dungeon.
  9. You lot go with a Yoshi theme last week and don't use the Yoshi bike!? What's wrong with you!? You know what? If there was any guilt about this theme before (And there wasn't), it's gone now! This blatant discrimination against inward drift is unacceptable!
  10. Way to power through a slow news week/cold. I know it's been said loads of times already, but you have a natural talent for hosting this kind of show, @Kaepora_Gaebora!
  11. No thanks, I had some cheddar earlier. Sorry...
  12. Seeing as people are posting moments of embarrassing ignorance...
  13. Did somebody say "Pokedex completing"? I'm more than willing to breed some hard-to-find Pokemon off for some peeps here. Don't even care what I get in return. Just don't ask for legendaries, etc. Ain't happening.
  14. You redesigned the theme image for my return? Why @RedShell, with these Forrero Rocher image changes, you really are spoiling me! I personally think you've all been playing dangerously close to this... It needs to be more like this! Doesn't really need to be said, but I'm IN this week.
  15. But they said it'd be distributed during March! IT'S STILL FEBRUARY! This will end in chaos, just you watch. Oh well, got the Celebi, will no doubt dump it in the PC like every other Legendary Pokemon that isn't Groudon.
  16. You're remembering it right. That bridge is great. You can't see it here, but there's a really cool dynamic camera effect as you walk along it. That game did so many things right, it just makes current gen look a bit, bland. I'm hoping Sun/Moon follows the trend of late Pokemon games on console being fantastic. I would be totally OK with another Gold/Silver, Black/White situation.
  17. You know what? I'm sorry I ever mentioned it...
  18. I guarantee I will look clueless, but Dance Dance Revolution?
  19. You have to be really good at Game & Watch games. There are 11 games on G&W Gallery Advance that you can earn "stars" on. Each of these games have 4 different ways of playing (Original G&W versions and Modern Mario remakes, each with an Easy and Hard mode, with the exception of Boxing and Donkey Kong 3). You get one star for every 200 points (Or 3. K.Os in Boxing) you get, for a maximum of 5 stars for getting a high score of 1,000 points. That means there's a total of 200 stars that you can get without going into the multiplayer modes in Boxing and Donkey Kong 3. (You could get a bonus 20 stars from just playing those a few times, bringing the total to 220) Zelda becomes playable when you get 160 stars. So if you don't have a second GBA (Or you're playing the WiiU VC version), you have to score an average of 800 points on every game, on every difficulty. It's very hard. Especially on games like G&W Donkey Kong. But by the time you get Zelda, you have 20 G&W games to play, so the value is insanely good. You just have to work for it.
  20. Let's take a little detour from Metroid Prime and look at a small little game. So, most of you would consider yourself Zelda fans, right? I imagine that some of you have played every Nintendo-made one, huh? What's that? You have? Hmmm... You certain about that? Yep, I played through Zelda for the Game & Watch! To be specific, it's the very last game that you unlock in Game & Watch Gallery Advance for the GBA, which came out on the WiiU VC. Zelda originally came out in 1989 in America and was released in Europe as part of the Nintendo Mini Classics in 1998. Game & Watch Gallery Advance came out in 2002. I separated this game from the other 19 Game & Watch titles on the GBA game for two reasons. - It's a Game & Watch game that actually has an ending. - As far as the Zelda series goes, it's really, really bizarre! You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse The story (Yes, there's a story) goes that eight dragons really hate mankind and kidnap Princess Zelda and lock her behind a door that can only be opened by a piece of the Triforce. (I'm gonna assume it's Wisdom) So Link has to traverse the eight dungeons, kill the eight dragons and save Hyrule! Pretty simple, but the thought of a Game & Watch game with a story is amusing. Being a G&W game, the gameplay is a lot simpler than your average Zelda. There's no overworld, the entire game takes place in the 8 dungeons (Which all suspiciously look the same, can't imagine why...) and there's only 3 different varieties of enemies and the dragon boss at the end of each dungeon. And as for puzzles, don't expect any. But for a G&W game, it's surprisingly deep! You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse It definitely plays the most like Zelda 2, with all the action being side-scrolling. The objective is to defeat the enemy on the right without losing all your health. Holding the attack button thrusts your sword forward, but also puts the shield behind Link, leaving you open to attacks from the front (But blocks attacks from behind you, which comes into play later on) You also have to keep an eye on the enemies below you, as they'll periodically try to knife your feet. And that stings. It's simple, but strangely fun. Positioning is everything and the key lies in knowing when to attack. And thanks to the handy dandy save feature that is present in the GBA version, there's no need to worry about getting a Game Over. There's even items that help you in your quest, including maps, Water of Life (It's a potion) and the Tomahawk, which lets you do mad damage against the next boss you fight. When you reach the boss, the gameplay switches to the top screen. (Yep, DS always ripped off the G&W's style) You have to dodge fireballs and Ridley-esque tail stabs while hacking away at it until you get your Triforce piece. View post in Miiverse It can get a little repetitive, but I had a good time, just tackling a little bit every now and then. You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse There's a good chance this Miiverse post will be the final post on the G&W Gallery Advance community. And that's a little bit sad. And with that...
  21. Literally had no idea what this was, shows how new-ish I am really. So used to the default style now, full-width just seems unappealing to me.
  22. Ah, I missed it! I had a very good reason though! Hear me out. You see, I was gonna post yesterday, but then, would you believe it, a building imploded. Yeah, imploded! And being the right bloody Londoner that I am, I jumped into action. So I implemented my amazing British powers (Because we all have them) to split into 2 and used a make-shift trampoline to bounce people to safety. Here, I have proof, look at this photo of the scene. I don't know why I'm telling you this though, it was all over the news, didn't you see it? What? You didn't? You jerk! How hard was it to just watch the news for a few minutes? You know what? I won't even bother telling you about what happened after with the giant octopus and the infinite treasure that I found in it's lair. And you're not getting any of it. Happy Birthday!
  23. Nope. I haven't touched it because every time I think about starting it, I then think to myself, "But I still haven't got a Kecleon on Super Mystery Dungeon, and Gen 1 is soooooo archaic!" So I then end up carrying on with PSMD and not once have I regretted it. I don't think I'll start it until I get everything in that game.
  24. Actually, you are the first to post it, go you! I think the most amazing thing about this is you actually using Miiverse. Damn, this game has got you hooked like a Dragonite that knows Wrap! Still haven't touched my copy, I think I might be the only 3DS owner who downloaded it but still hasn't played it.
  25. Hmm... Let's ask Kirby! Oh... Oh dear...
