  1. Yup. This is true. In fact, BD/SP have the first 490 Pokémon in them, which is why I said you don't need the games from before the 3DS era to have a complete Pokédex.
  2. Just say you don't approve of the Vampire nerf, we all know you're thinking it. But yeah, anything that makes those stakes where the ante goes up more bearable is fine by me!
  3. Oh geez... Um... It depends? This might be a bit confusing. OK, so the original Game Boy cartridges can connect to each other. But they absolutely cannot do so with any future games. I say "cartridges", because if you happen to have a 3DS with the Virtual Console versions, they can connect with Pokémon Bank. More on Pokémon Bank in a bit, but with the 3DS eShop closed, you can't buy these versions, or Pokémon Bank anymore. So if you don't have a 3DS with those games on it now, you're out of luck. Now, from the GBA games onwards, you can transfer Pokémon on to future games. So you can take a Pokémon from the GBA games and transfer it to the first DS games (Diamond/Pearl), and then on to the next set (Black/White). However, be aware that these are all one-way trips. You can't transfer Pokémon from the DS back to the GBA. Now getting a Pokémon from the DS to the 3DS is a bit more complicated. You'll need a 3DS with two apps on it, Pokémon Bank, and Pokémon Transporter. If you don't, then you can't do this, because the 3DS eShop has shut down. If you do have them, then Pokémon Transporter is what allows you to move Pokémon from the DS games (and the Virtual Console Game Boy games) to Pokémon Bank. By the way, I think you're thinking of Pokémon Bank here. Some people assume that because the 3DS online servers have shut down, Pokémon Bank no longer works, but this isn't true. You can still use it. Now it will probably shut down sometime in the future. Nothing lasts forever, after all. But we don't when that will be yet. Anyway, Pokémon Bank is a way for you to store Pokémon and move them between the 3DS games. And if you want to move those Pokémon on to one of the Switch games, then you'll also need Pokémon Home. Pokémon Home is the Switch and mobile phone application that also lets you store Pokémon and move them between the Switch games. It also has other features, like letting you trade with other people, and keeping track of your National Pokédex completion. It also lets you transfer any Pokémon you have in Bank to Home. However, and this is important, none of the Switch games allow you to have every Pokémon in one game. You can't "catch 'em all" in any of them, which means some Pokémon can't be moved to some games. For example, Kecleon, the Pokémon you can see in my profile picture, can't be caught in any of the Switch games except Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. So you can't move it to, say, Scarlet/Violet. The game just won't allow it. I think that covers all the important bits. It's a lot to take in, I know. So if you have any questions, let me know, and I'll try to explain it more.
  4. So, I almost did. But in what is probably the most petty reason for me to change my mind, I decided against it because of the characters they added that were inspired by Lethal League. Oh no, Lethal League is great! I was very much looking forward to it, but they decided not to include Latch, so why even bother? Because the game would be better with a skateboarding alligator, and you all know it.
  5. I must admit, I'm not familiar with any applications for this purpose, and I have to wonder if there even is one, seeing as Pokémon Home actually tracks which Pokémon you have deposited into it. Right, I know you're gonna play through them all, but the weird thing is that to get a complete National Pokédex, you don't actually need any of the games on the Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, or the DS. Assuming you ignore mythical Pokémon that you can only get through events (Like Jirachi), you would need X/Y, Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, Sword/Shield, Pokémon GO, Legends: Arceus, Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl, and Scarlet/Violet.
  6. You can call me Mystic Meg, because my headlines are downright prophetic!
  7. Yes, I remember you pointing this out. My favourite level in a game that, admittedly doesn't have that many great levels. Anyway, I just realised that they added the option to use "No Beat Mode" with any character. Normally, I'd declare sacrilege and ignore it, but... I never did see the ending because the character that you have to finish the game with is so incredibly unfair, that I didn't find it very fun. Any way I can even the odds with her is very much welcome.
  8. There's a demo for this available now, if anyone is interested.
  9. Back to regular scheduling now. Stock matches tonight from 7:30.
  10. I believe he did Cadence of Hyrule as well. I can't remember if that game has that option though? It might have gotten added in a patch after I finished it.
  11. Well then! Those nutters weren't exactly going to let a thing like TAS-style execution stop them, were they? Someone's actually done it! And 3 days before the servers go down!
  12. These are quality friends, don't lose them. If I had even one friend growing up that would happily waste over a hundred hours playing a nerdy game like this with me, I might not be the social recluse I am these days. Anyway, a bit late, but the fact that Larian have decided to not continue to work with Hasbro, while totally well within their right (And more power to them), does leave me with concerns that a hypothetical Switch 2 port may be a pipe dream now... I really wanna play this game, but it's not the kind of game where I can just play it intermittedly on my cousin's PC...
  13. I'm more of a 4-1 guy. And only with the Shopkeeper!
  14. Afraid that's no good for me, either. Guess next Thursday or Friday, it'll have to be.
  15. The correct mindset. I'm quite rusty myself, so we can get wrecked together. I'm available all day tomorrow until 7:30pm.
  16. Online co-op is cross-play, BTW. So plenty of people to play with.
  17. Give me a minute, I'll make a video. EDIT: OK, @BowserBasher Watch the exhaust and listen to the revving of the engine. Notice how I let up on the rev every now and again to keep the colour of the exhaust around the point where it turns white? That's the sweet spot you want to be at when "Go!" appears. @Dcubed's method works as well because he lets go of the A button to drop back to that sweet spot right at the end. I personally think that's risky as hell, but it works for him...
  18. When you hold A at the start, you'll notice the colour of the exhaust pipes will turn white after a while. You need to make sure it turns white right before "Go!" You can still let go of A during the startup beeps to try and balance it at the sweet spot. So you can still pull it off, even if you start too early. The problem is, how long it takes for each car to get to that point is different, so it's not consistent between every car.
  19. Go ahead, but it actually doesn't matter who hosts in F-Zero. If one person has stuff unlocked, everyone can use it.
  20. Right, @BowserBasher, @S.C.G, we doing this?
  21. That's the one where you have to brutally murder a Bubble Dragon every time you start playing, isn't it?
  22. The above Grand Prix is going on now. It's a decent theme. They thankfully don't use that dodgy render of Peach with the Dreamworks-esque face. Music choice is good and fitting too. Not heard the final 10 song yet, because it's a miracle whenever I last that long.
  23. That hair change sucks!
  24. Update's out now. I think it's still on sale, but not certain, I bought it last week, but was waiting for now until I actually start it. Would anyone here be interested in playing it with me at some point?
  25. Solid! So, I guess we'll do an All-Cup Tour at 8pm then.
