Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)
Glen-i replied to Julius's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Told ya, @Dcubed. Like they were just gonna leave it at that with so many first party games still left. -
Seriously, it was really bad. @Dcubed caught a little of it, but simply put, my victory on GBA Mario Circuit was a sure thing, but I decided to throw a Bob-omb at the Mario Kart Banner at the finish line and bounce it off for laughs. That just so happened to bounce far enough that it caught almost everyone else in the blast, causing a massive pile-up, and allowing Dcubed to sail past them all and take second. I actually felt dirty afterwards.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (29th May)
Glen-i replied to ArtMediocre's topic in Nintendo Gaming
It is a very fun expansion with enough twists to the mechanics to keep things interesting. While I would never recommend buying Definitive Edition purely for Future Connected, it is absolutely solid, much like Torna: The Golden Country in the sequel. The name obviously hints that it will be connected to 3 in some way, what with all the unanswered questions, and I'm thinking I should replay Future before I dig into 3 as a refresher.- 198 replies

@darksnowman, there's a theme tonight.
-
Room's open. Don't forget to follow the theme.

It's not really a case of it being relatively cheap, it would take me 6 months to save up for it. Not accounting for unforeseen circumstances. I'm pretty poor, you know?
-
It seems to be taking a lot of cues from Chrono Trigger, which is notable for it's relatively short length. Of course, this doesn't mean Sea of Stars will be a similar length, but it's probably worth being aware of.
-
Yeah, I need Sea of Stars. Glad that's coming to Switch!
-
That's a very narrow minded point of view. No wonder Bowser's so aggro.
-
Real talk. I've been mostly "eh" on the Mario Lego set as a whole. But that one is the first time I've thought "I kinda want that". The loose limbs are very cool. Would never be able to afford it though. EDIT: 270 DOLLARS!?
-
I mean, since Sunshine, Bowser's always looked friendlier. Parenthood does that to most people.

Well, the Tory party will soon be having a leadership election to choose who will replace him in Autumn. A lot of Conservatives will be throwing their hat in for that role. The eventual winner will become the new Prime Minister. It's worth noting that only the members of said party get a vote in this, the general public get absolutely no say in the matter. We'll have to wait until a General Election for that. Which won't happen until 2024 unless the new PM calls an early one (lol). This causes a problem, because the general public in the UK are fickle and stupid. So that long of a time period without BJ may eventually cause a scenario where the public effectively forgives the Tory party because they, and I quote, "got rid of Boris and did the right thing". @Hero-of-Time referred to this a few times, and it's why a lot of people against Conservatives in general wanted him to cling on as long as possible.
-
Looks like the fun's over... Everyone reporting that Boris has signed the letter of resignation. EDIT: Yep, pretty much confirmed. It'll be forgotten in a year and then we'll be back to our regularly scheduled awfulness. Geez, I'm getting that feeling you get when a game you really enjoyed finishes, and you feel sad because you wanted it to go on longer.
-
It's still going! 51 now. And I'm not certain that includes Michael Gove, who got sacked! That basically never happens. While I don't expect the daily record to be broken, we'll be seeing more resignations. Newsnight was funny last night, if only for the way they closed. EDIT: I suppose it was only a matter of time until someone accidentally Partridge'd. 52 now, BTW.

I do like it when an Online Competition gets silly. Doubles Format No Legendaries allowed Only 2 Pokémon can be used One of those Pokémon must be Magikarp Registration is open now and closed July 21st. Battles start the next day, until July 24th. You get the standard 50 BP for completing 3 battles.

@Dcubed has informed me that Nadhim Zahawi is among three Cabinet Ministers that have just told the chief whip that BloJo has to go. He's the current Chancellor, and he hasn't even had the job for a day! I put on the Liaison Committee as background noise for playing SMT III, but I can't focus on it with how much they're laying into him! Riveting telly! It's 35 now. Boris is officially the MP Resignation Speedrun Champion! And I thought GDQ finished!
-
So Sky News have a dedicated "Resignation Counter" on screen at all times now. It's at 31 now. Hilarious! He's gonna overtake Maybot at this rate! And let's not ignore that record he's set for most resignations in a single day!
-
Oh, for sure. Tories have always been a bunch of self-serving tossers. But there's something satisfying about the sheer speed of knife wielding that Tory ministers will utilise once they decide it's time to bail. It's a tale as old as time, yet it never actually gets old. 18 ministers have resigned since yesterday at this point. There'll be more for certain.
-
Lol, one of the Tory backbenchers literally using PMQ's to ask if there's anything that he'd resign over. I've never heard so much laughing in one session! His temper tantrum at Starmer was full of the usual Corbyn scaremongering. Sheer desperation. I'm in the same boat. The longer he clings on, the less time the Tories have to scrub his stench off of their party before the next General Election. Of course, him calling a snap election is the dream scenario, but I doubt even he is that idiotic. EDIT: I lost it at everyone on the opposite benches shouting "Bye, Boris!" at the end of PMQ's. If anything, at least I got some chuckles out of this.
-
I know this isn't exactly the most appropriate bump, but I can't find a better thread and I don't want to commit to a new thread in case this comes to nothing. And with this Prime Minister, that's an annoying possibility. But I'm sure most of you have seen something of this fallout over the Pincher controversy. The phrase "Rats fleeing a sinking ship" comes to mind. Now, I might be jinxing it, but this might finally be the thing that finally sets off the end of Bo Job. But I'm going full on Emperor Palpatine and hoping that he calls a snap election in a desperate attempt to cling on and bring the whole disgusting party with him. Do it!

A more realistic approach to graphics? That sounds laaaaaaaame!

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (29th May)
Glen-i replied to ArtMediocre's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Actually, the area Future Connected takes place in was an area that was cut from the original Wii game. Using cheats in it to fly around, you can actually go there in the Wii version, although it's not complete. It's kinda neat that they went back and implemented it like this. Expert Mode still gives you EXP for fighting, but EXP for finding Landmarks, completing Quests, and getting achievements will be stored instead. So you're doing grinding right. You get more AP as well like this, which is also a nice perk. Just keep in mind that you'll get more EXP fighting a level 62 enemy at level 62, then fighting a level 60 enemy at level 60, so do move on to tougher enemies once you can handle them.- 198 replies

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes (24th June)
Glen-i replied to darksnowman's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I wish. There's too many things coming out in the next month, and I can't afford it all. It was basically between this and Mon Hun Rise's DLC, and well, one of them is more focused around online play, and I routinely play with Mokong on it, so my choice was basically made. This wouldn't be much of a problem, if it wasn't for Xenoblade coming out soon as well, so I'm gonna have to make another choice then. I'm kinda miffed that Splatoon 3 swapped dates with it now. -
According to the reveal on Nintendo Direct, it's Live Alive.
-
Welcome to the club. EarthBound is a long shot, seeing as Square has nothing to do with that. But I can get on board with that dream.
