  1. Or play the sequel, Nexomon Extinction, it's a bit more polished in comparison.
  2. Eunie is such an unexpected and hilarious juxtaposition to the impression that Xenoblade 1 gave of the High Entia, that she's quickly become my favourite party member! She calls someone a "right muppet" and I was in stitches. Speaking of juxtapositions, Riku cracks me up too. Hearing that deep voice talk with Nopon mannerisms is just perfect for deadpan comedy.
  3. I wouldn't get your hopes up there. With this open world nonsense, the chances of having 8 gyms are not great.
  4. You're also not stuck there.
  5. Ah, right. Yeah. Well, if you prefer to play as a Swordmaster, you can just swap who you control instead by holding ZL and pressing L or R.
  6. It's only for tutorial purposes, you'll be able to change back soon if you want.
  7. Well, the only person here that I know is playing it is @Mokong, and we chatted about it while playing Mon Hun. But fine, I'll give my thoughts so far. I'm on Chapter 2, and I have to say, it's a very intriguing intro. A lot of questions, especially for those who played 1 and 2. It's also interesting that the game goes out of its way to mix mechanics from those two games as well. We have gem crafting (it's much more straightforward here) from the first game, but also cooking from the sequel. Half of the party recharge arts over time, the other do so by auto-attacking, again a difference between the first two games. This mix and matching of mechanics makes battles even more fun for me. But the real kicker here is that it has a Bravely Default inspired job system going on! You assign a base job to a character, but you can borrow arts and passive skills from other jobs to really customise your strategy! Well, assuming they've leveled up the appropriate jobs, that is. I love me some job based shenanigans in RPG's.
  8. @Ugh first aid made this joke. But I can't believe @Ike won with Sonic and the Black Knight!
  9. No, just stuck on the loading screen. Had to force a disconnection.
  10. Well, that's never happened before. Open again, @Ike
  11. Yeah, it's cool, huh? I agree that Kalimari Desert is on the lower end of track quality from the N64, so this should help shake things up.
  12. That game has had such a rough development cycle. Delays all over the place, and then when it finally gets a date, Live A Live comes out a week before, and then Xenoblade 3 moves bloody forward! That series already has enough problems with Pokémon overshadowing it! Any other time, I would've bought it, but well. I'm not a Digimon fan, really. So it's hard to justify me buying it full price with so many other games. It's on my wishlist, mind, so when it inevitably goes on sale, I might bite. I was considering a Digimon theme, but I know nothing about the series, so I wouldn't even know where to begin other then "It's Namco's take on Pokémon". If you want, you can PM me a theme that you think best fits it, and I can use it in the future. Anyway, it's just dawned on me that I forgot to mention that all 3 Mii Fighters are allowed tonight.
  13. Oh bugger! POW block does show up in Paper Mario! And I was wondering where the stop watch shows up, but thinking about it, that's also right. Although, I don't think the one in Smash is meant to be the one from SMB 2/Paper Mario, but it's close enough. I'll add them to the ruleset.
  14. Oh great, KO'd my post right off of the page, gonna post it again, then hide the one on the previous page. Welp, it's time for another theme night. It's Rocket Propelled Galaga, right? There have been far too many RPG's being released over the past few months! I can't keep up with them all! So we're having a night with nothing but RPG characters! EDIT: The 3 Mii Fighters are also allowed tonight. OK, I know the first question, already. Why is Pokémon Trainer the only character from Pokémon? Well, the clarification for that decision is because you don't actually directly control Pokémon in that series, you control the trainer. You can make an argument for some Fire Emblem characters also falling into that (Lucina and Chrom), but I decided against that just so @BowserBasher would have to play 5 FE characters in a row if he went through the roster in order. Yes, I'm a scoundrel. Pretty straightforward picks here, shouldn't have to clarify what's going on here. EDIT: The POW Block and Stopwatch are also part of the item list. Items here are ones that also appear in a RPG at some point. That said, if you're a nerd and notice one I've overlooked, feel free to point it out. Assist Trophies are the exception here, because what RPG's are mostly about is getting other party members to help you, so it fits in the theme. Now pay attention, this is important. The format is quite unorthodox. Format: Stamina, 300 HP, 1 Stock FS Meter: On Yes, 1 stock, but you have a lot of HP to compensate. There's no extra lives in RPG's. Well, most of them. Tonight, 8pm.
  15. Well, then. You might be in luck, because this might not be quite the Kalimari Desert you remember.
  16. @Hero-of-Time spoiler talk, but I found out something neat about a certain thing.
  17. You like stupid gags about Gen 4 lore, right? Sure, you do!

  18. I mean, it's a matter of opinion. However, DKC 1 is the worst DKC game, so there!
  19. OK, @viceview51, you knew what you were doing here. You know what's coming.
  20. I'd argue that it can't even be in competition for that, seeing as it came out in 1994.
  21. I wouldn't get your hopes for that. I get the feeling once we get the Sora one, Smash amiibos will be done.
  22. 4 more to go after this.
  23. It might have been mentioned in the Direct (I didn't watch it), but the Shulk amiibo has a specific use in this.
  24. Mine's just about to finish downloading, but likely won't be available until 12. We'll see how I feel about playing it at midnight.
  25. Some exciting news as well. We're getting the next 8 tracks next week! That's next week's theme sorted then!
