  1. It's about as likely as seeing a Pidgeot fly at Mach 2 speed.
  2. That's a weird dig, seeing as it's a Square Enix game.
  3. It doesn't surprise me, Ninty is the company that recommended Bowser's Inside Story because I played Professor Layton. It also consistently recommends Just Dance, despite having data on the kind of games I mostly play. Not even close!
  4. It's Dragon/Ground, stats are perfectly set to be an incredible sweeper, and it's some kind of shark, and yet, I just don't like it! Now I have no basis for this at all, but compared to similar Dragon type Pokémon, such as Dragonite, it feels like Garchomp's entire reason for being is to be as cool as possible. There are no wrinkles to it. Dragonite has eye watering stats and is bloody terrifying when you first have Lance lynch one on you, but after that initial horror, it's actually weirdly cute. Kingdra is ugly as hell, but that makes it more interesting. Flygon is a cool mix of bug and dragon, despite not actually being Bug type. And while I thought Salamence was kinda boring, it got a Mega that made it a flying croissant, and I kind of love it now! I guess I could say that Garchomp feels very focus tested. Lucario is in a similar boat. They're not that interesting.
  5. Seriously, if you haven't got it yet, do so now! It'll likely be ages before you get another chance.
  6. I'm on board with that theory. Especially with regional variants kick-starting the idea of actual evolution being explored in the series, it makes the most sense. And boy, Pokémon loves peddling the whole "Pokémon and humans benefit from working together" spiel. I wonder, what if a Cyclizar acts as a stand in for the cover legendary when you join another player in co-op? It'd be kinda strange having 4 Koraidons running around the place at once. Doing that would sidestep that oddity nicely. Best? Yeah, it's precisely why Fairy type had to be brought in, much to my Hat's despair. Coolest? It's up there, but I'm more of a Ground kind of person. Loads of cool Pokémon that don't have to be mostly typecast into being reptiles. Weirdly enough, I'm not much of a fan of Garchomp. Anyway, if the cover legendaries are part Dragon, I hope they avoid Fire and Electric, Gen 5 already had those type combos covered. But looking at them, it's hard to think of anything more fitting. Although, I suppose they might be monotype (But with different movesets covering different types)? It's a possibility.
  7. I mean, I kinda see it with Miraidon, but the other two look so much like wheels that I don't see it with them. Another reason I'm happy to go with Scarlet.
  8. Dude, Shed Tail is already going to see loads of use in competitive play! That's insanely good! Covert Cloak is gonna be interesting too, as it totally shuts down Pokémon that rely on moves like Rock Slide and Scald to cripple the opponent. And then there's Loaded Dice. I'm not certain that will make much of an impact. Unless you have something like Heracross, who can learn all sorts of multi hit moves, it's not gonna be super useful. And Heracross already had its Mega to cover that tactic, but that's not an option anymore. As for actual lore stuff, I wonder what the connection between Cyclizar (Which I'm immediately using on my team) and the cover legendaries are? Because, well, come on. It's not subtle.
  9. It started so well with that Shulk win and just went proper downhill from there. Gordo shenanigans with Double DDD is funny though!
  10. The irony being that you're one of only three members here who have met me in real life.
  11. Oh, another member from before I joined? These are always fun. I'm part of staff here! How mad is that? You've never even talked to me!
  12. Stamina matches tonight at 8pm.
  13. I bet it's because he didn't capitalise the 'T' in the NEGetTogether hashtag. Totally obscene!
  14. Welp, if Lunar isn't in this, I'm out.
  15. Horrific start for me, my first non-trophy GP since this came back. I blame @Dcubed.
  16. Yep, lots of good stuff there. A lot of it very pricey. The World Championships are there as well, but you need a ticket bought beforehand, and it's far too late now. You can walk into the Center without booking though. Anyway, opening the room now.
  17. Nope, this was a different one. Designed by a person who makes skateboard designs, he was around to sign them as well. Anyway, back now. So I'll be around to host.
  18. It's all well and good using an ethernet adapter, but unless everyone else is using one, it won't help much.
  19. But then I'd never have seen a Toxtricity skateboard, so no regrets! Apart from not having a spare 200 quid for it...
  20. I'm at the Pokémon World Championships now. And there's a Pokémon Center here. Naturally, with Galar being the focus, I went in hoping to score some Inteleon and Toxtricity swag, but had to keep myself to a limit. First of all, there was Toxtricity swag. And it's really awesome! Yep, I want a Toxtricity Skateboard! I don't skate, but I want one. Pity it's 200 quid... That picture will just have to suffice. Anyway, no other merch of that Pokémon, so settled on Inteleon instead. Perfect! Mission complete! Let's get out of here before I find something too irresistible... Well, bugger it all! They got me! It's a Kecleon plush. Specifically, the Kecleon from Mystery Dungeon! That's so bloody niche! There's no way it wasn't there just to sucker punch me into spending more then I planned! This place is evil!
  21. For the world? Yeah. Japan got one in 2017, mind. Still a long time.
  22. This has started now. @Serebii's site has a handy dandy page with easy access to the streams. It lets you easily choose which stream to watch. Who knows? Maybe you'll see me? Or not. If they do an audience sweep today, and you see someone with a kickass Alolan Marowak shirt, that's me!
  23. The Victini is live now. Code is W0RLD22V1CT0RY You've only got until 11:59 pm, this Sunday to redeem it, so do it now.
  24. Player's Choice tonight at 8pm. Now, I'm going to the Pokémon World Championships today, so there's a possibility I won't be able to make it. If I can't bear to drag myself away, @BowserBasher will have to step in as host.
  25. Considering how much the game tells you through tutorials, I doubt it.
