Yeah I agree that P3 needed an update to have a combination of secondary character/ability to control your teammates' actions (which wouldn't be so bad if they didn't have the move selection ability of a Pokemon trainer) from P3P, with the 3D models of FES. But, I doubt it would be financially sound to put so much effort into an update now for such an old title, especially with the core team invested in P5.

Super-exaggerations aside, I'm really impressed by what we're seeing. I'm trying to figure out if they're showing actual clips of the UI (like the inventory menus etc) or just stylistic representations because it looks so damn slick. And the action parts of the game aren't simplistic dungeon crawlers anymore, I actually get a Killer 7 vibe from some of it, and the whole thing screams Catherine in terms of visuals. I'm still not big on the main character's design (until he pulls that freaky face) but the supporting characters and mascot already look cool. If this is somehow not released over here, I'm going to go back to learning Japanese just to play it.

If you have a Vita, do yourself a favour and get Persona 3 and Persona 4 Golden. If you don't have a Vita, do yourself a favour and get a Vita then get Persona 3 and Persona 4 Golden.

Those weapons are put in there for pure satisfaction. Accompanied by those crunchy sound effects, the overly gratifying pull and release of a bow and the additional skill required to land a kill with a single arrow over a spray of bullets - it's all about feelgood factor. Just shows they've done it right. That said, I would be concerned if you suggested field archery lessons and bought a pry axe off the back of this experience.

There seems to be a big problem in Japan these days with quantity/quick results towering over quality. There's no love behind what they're making, just profitability charts and looking for a quick buck. They can't see the bigger picture. It even ties in with their work ethics, causing staff to be over-loyal, over-worked and heck, it's even effecting their population growth. It's that kind of loyalty that lead Nintendo to claim they'd never played on an Xbox when asked why they didn't do online like the competition. Seeing it a lot with anime, licensing single seasons because they're a "risk" even though it could leave fans never knowing what happens next. Or even worse, refusing to stop making a series even when you have no story to tell because you've caught up with the source material, then outsourcing your animation to cheap Korean labour because your viewing figures fall through the floor.... Sega ignore the fact that Sonic became a franchise because the games were amazing first. For a new generation, you need new amazing games to keep the interest. The only reason kids today still love Mario is because of the great Mario Kart and 3DS games. Making a great Sonic game is the investment they need to make, but instead they spread themselves too thin. Ironically Sonic Dash is probably the best Sonic game I've played in years, and that's a mobile game made by a British studio.

The TV series was good, got a bit daft in the second season and certainly not T1/T2 levels of quality, but you can hardly call it shitty.

You may already know this but whilst it's impossible to pay with a foreign card, it's still possible to get the games. You can buy US PSN credit on Amazon.com with any card and then use that on a US account. Since Nintendo sells points on amazon.co.jp that would probably still work in the event of any changes

You did fine man, we all let each other down last night. I was so drunk I hardly remember it. Sheikah got 200 kills in one game I think but everything else is a blur. Great fun though. I'd appreciate going Titan (or Warlock) this evening. Need a break from the pressure of Swordbearing :p

T2 was my favourite movie for a very long time, it's still up there. T3 was a joke and Re...whatever the fourth one was called was a disappointment with a stupid ending. But I still want/hope to see it done right one more time while Arnie can still do it.

Sheikah's raid from tonight was moved to Sunday back to back with another Hard Mode iirc. Blade's raid tonight is full as far as I can tell. Daft's raid has Crota to finish off on HM but no time confirmed so far and still looking for 1 or 2 more players. Think that's everything on the raid front.
