Yeah the price sucks, but europe always gets fucked over price wise. Aleast our price includes tax and isnt tacked on afterwards. Mind you US tax is usually around 5% which is practically nothing. If the UK has to pay more again for the lame reason of not being in the euro im gonna be pissed off.

Miyamoto spills some more beans....

Are we sure this is 100% correct on the translation and he didnt mean use the the same engine to make new games like with the wii super moneky ball. Plus why does he say we arent expecting polish on zelda!?! Im sure as hell am for a game that should have been out a year ago. -
Ive had mine since launch and it has crashed more often recently(its still only crashed about 15 times though). Just make sure there is no dust on the lens, i think thats what was affecting mine.

I hoping for a price battle between between the ps3 and wii. Like when the xbox and gamecube came out at the same time. That was awesome. Im hoping for £150 though, anymore will limit my games library .

A couple of questions about the Nintendo Wii
Rick Dangerous replied to marcel's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Anyone know if you can connect it to a computer monitor? Like they promised us many years ago. I want to get rid of my tv ideally. -
I quite agree, all out tvs are made by Sony and most have lasted atleast 15 years or so with out breaking down once. Which is impressive for a product built nowadays.

Used to drink loadsa normal coke until quite recently, tea is now king. Dont drink diet drinks seroiusly, aspartame and saccarine are really bad for your brain.

Ok I think people need some intellectual property lessons. Everyone seems to get this wrong! Its not copyrighting it at all. Infact copyrighting wouldnt help you much in this situation either. Copyrights only protect drawings, logos, art etc they are free and to copyright stuff you simply write © your name and the year. They only protect the visual side not the idea however. To protect the idea you will need a patent. However they can be pricey (£200-£10,000 depending on whether you use a patent clerk) and time consuming. On thing DiemetriX should do is get everyone he shows the idea too to sign a confidential agreement form which would state they should not tell anyone about his idea. He could then sue for breach of contract. The postal thing mearly adds weight to his claim as the inventor with a date and time assocaited with it.

Could you make it on the DS? It will be alot easier to do and cost alot less too. Infact there are quite a few GBA/DS hombrew code communities on the net. If you are going to contact companies about your idea. Write it down post it to yourself recorded delivery and dont open it. Then you have a date and time stamped on it proving when you created it (in case they rip you off).

street fighter 2- when you completed it with Zangief, just for stupid value

It would make a quite good portable dvd player

CD retailers in the UK want to change the import duty free rate down to £6.80!!! Because of places like amazon jersey exploiting this loop hole in the law. However this would also mess up everything else like being able to buy cheap ds games, cds from abroad that may not be released here etc. I hope they dont change the governments mind:angry: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/5190044.stm

God bless You tube some genius had posted the pilot on there, gonna have to get my hands on the dvd when i get some money. Haden i have all the curb episodes but season 5 is my favourite. Its not out yet on DVD so hunt down a torrent you wont be dissapointed BTW they were selling curb for 12 quid in virgin megastore last time i checked which is better than the horrendous price they usually sell it for.

The wii is still a powerful machine!

Did microsoft make any money on the xbox in the end? -
Not only does the law has to be passed, the government will give a year or two manufacturers to alter the design of the product by which time the wii would have been released. Mind you nintendo did screw up warioware twisted by putting mercury tilt switches in it despite it being banned in the EU by the Weee directive. I think the journalist wanted to scare people so they would read his article :P

Anyone else concerned about Wii having bugs?
Rick Dangerous replied to Mikey's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The controller will have been through lots of testing etc before release. Remember it is in thier interest for this thing to work or they wont make any money! Besides nintendo make suprising hard wearing products, my NES still works unlike some of my friends PS2's. -
I have heard good things about this show, but havent seen it yet. What are good episodes to get hold of? Anyone watch Curb Your Enthusiasm? Ive been getting into that far too much of that recently

The one without the nunchuck is completely useless you may aswell just hold the contoller and have the bonus of being able to use the extra buttons. Infact if you could live without the analogue control you just hold both of them.
-
You could calibrate the controller to a neutral point. As long as the controller can pick up movement in every direction and tell what speed its going it can relate its self to this neutral point. It just needs the cpu to work it out. The wand could just be a big aerial as wavelengths for radio waves are pretty big. Wouldnt you need 3 points to create a triangulation for the method your suggesting. I could be wrong though.

Er, that 'bar' is for developers to turn thier gamecubes in a jerry-rigged revolution. I got the impression the sensor is gonna be in the product's casing or they would have shown it as a standalone component by now. I cant think why they would make it external, radio frequencies would be able to travel through a plastic case.

Domo arigato gozaimasu, thats two more kanji that should be easy to remember . Does anyone one any good japanese bands? Ive only really found the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra but alot of there stuff is in english and i cant find translations for the japanese stuff. These two questions hurt my head if i think about them too much(especailly the last one ): What would a completely new colour look like? Why do people continue to use Microsoft Windows?

Like i said before i have pdfs and avis of some learning materials. PM me if you want the pdfs and ill try and sort some email thing up, but the videos could be tricky as there is a couple of gig in total. I could post a dvd to someone in good faith that they would copy it and pass it on to the next person who needs it.
