I used to play on an Atari STF when i was young. I literally took about 10 minutes to load some games lol. Though i remember the spectrum being even worse due to those cassette tapes.

I came out about two years later giving time for the technology to get cheaper. There is a general rule that processing power doubles every 18 months or so (i t hink thats right). The lack of DVD meant they would not have to pay the people who made the DVD format any money too.

The controller price is extra annoying when you consider controllers never tend to get cheaper during the lifespan of the console. It came out several years later, remember? :p

I am aware of the fact li-polymers exist, thanks. However they would more expensive with little extra benefit in this situation. Wii is low powered and this may offset carbon emissions, great. However the problems with batteries is generally the heavy metals they leach into the ground once landfilled. You cant say because of a few dodgy laptop batteries exploding that the entire technology is flawed. Chances are you have mobile phone which has a lithium based battery in it, and my ipod or DS hasnt exploded recently. iPod batteries ARE replaceable, apple have just made the ipod so joe average cant do it. Therefore people assume it cant be done. Ni-Mh are ok, but why should we pay anouther £16 (for four controllers) when a lithium battery would cost nintendo a couple dollars per unit. Plus it would prevent people from being stupid and using disposables (which atleast some people will).

Just because they are doing it, doesnt mean nintendo should really. Plus for the price I was kinda expecting it be rechargable. Anyway i dont think microsoft do environmental, just look at the xbox.

I loved all the simple old school style games: Warioware- Completely insane and great multiplayer. Viewtiful Joe- Again the general insanity and old style difficultly. Jungle Beat- Amazing while it lasted. Super Monkey Ball- Probably my most played cube game. Shame we never port of contra.

I think Nintendo really fucked this up tbh. I dread to think of the all the millions of dead batteries in landfill thanks to them not implementing a decent li-ion battery which would have lasted much longer than some crappy AA job. Thats is unless, they are giving away rechargables with every controller (which seems unlikely).

Why does it lag? Is it the tvs refresh rate or something? Im hoping to run the wii on my monitor im guessing that should be fine if i runs half life 2. You could always get a dabs value widescreen monitor for £100 that is basically a HD tv. Or you could find out what the 360 demo pods use.

Excellent news, im surprised lucasarts hasnt bought out all the scumm games for DS already. Its practically made for it.

Whats the point in using opera on the wii anyway? wont the tv resolution make websites look awful and really hard to use?

Science is not 'fact' its just the mostly likely outcome. Its constantly evolving. What was scientific 'fact' 100 years ago is not 'fact' today. Im not bashing science, its all just theories to be disproved and proved though.

Is Amon Tobin doing the soundtrack? That was the best thing about the last game.

Its not really stealing though if you own the game once already though, which im sure many of use do. Plus i doubt it will be long before the wii is hacked, hackers like a challenge.

I cant see the point they are only words. Its the people reacting to the words that have the problem. If we didnt react to certain words surely people with torettes wouldnt have as harder time. If you want it to go away dont react to it.

My mac mini had a converter in the box when it arrived I got one when it first came out. Cool little machine which has completely converted me to OS X. Infact i never use my vastly more powerful PC. I wish i had an intel so i could get rid of it! BTW My brother seems to think if you buy from John Lewis you get a 2 year warranty. Which can only be good thing if the price is the same.

Well if your using half life 2 as the bench mark and that can run on the xbox, and the wii is more powerful there should not be much to worry about really

I think games should start looking pretty good on the wii just due to the fact we never really saw the cube being pushed much last generation as the PS2 was the lead platform for most games. So the Wii with it extra power and room for less compressed textures on the disc should look even better. Once we get an experianced GC developer like capcom releasing shots im sure we wont be dissapointed.

People will still vote for bush as he was seen as being a 'good christian' by vetoing it though. So i think he still wins in the long run unfortunately.
