"Video: MPEG2 Video 720x576 (4:3) 25.00fps 10000Kbps [Video] Audio: MPEG Audio 48000Hz stereo 224Kbps [Audio] Subtitle: DVD Subpicture [subtitle]" So I have a couple of those kind of files on my hard drive when I recoreded them from my dvb-t receiver. The problem is that they're very large (1.25GB for approximately 45mins) So I would like to know if there's a program that can encode it into something less space consuming. Only program that can playback the file properly is Media player classic. VLC thinks that it's something "radio australia" and WMP just can't play it.

About what computers searched for what on the internet. They keep a log of the searches plus the pc's IP address.

If you can, find the mobos manual and see where you can set the hard disk size & type etc. Set it on auto on every one of them. And don't worry I can't find it either at the first time when I go to BIOS. Even though I do that generally once a month at least
-
What the? That shouldn't happen. Everytime I install xp you have to press a key to get into the setup. Have you checked your bios that all the drives are properly detected?
-
After you've got to the 6th part for the first time. DON'T press any key to boot from a cd. If you have the xp disc in the drive and you press a key the install just starts all over again.

badgerbadgerbadger Not in excessive amounts though can't think of anything else Megadeth: Duke nukem theme

I don't know about ati's chips in laptops. But if your laptop has one, check the drivers settings if there's 'theater mode' - option. It basically puts any video loaded on the primary screen to fullscreen mode on the secondary monitor. And you can pretty much do what you want with the primary screen. Just keep the video running on the background.

It's this one isn't it? So what's the problem as I can't see how the IDE connectors could be blocking the card... Could you take a photo of your setup? Because I'm having hard time to believing it doesn't fit.

Scared? It's not cancer is it? They're just a minor nuisance. And it has been tested that the duct tape method works better than cryo therapy. Maybe you should give it a go? Duct tape treatment on wikipedia

Yes they're viral and contagious. That's why you should avoid walking barefoot in a public shower room.

Btw transistor's are pretty small. But the can- like things on your board are electrolytic capacitors. And those are usually the problem. And every mobo I've seen has at least 2 ide connectors. Just tell me the motherboards model, so that I can have a look
-
How comfortable are you with messing around with your pc? I think that you might get it fit if you take the IDE cable and separate all the wires from each other. Or could you post a pic of the mobo or the model of it? There usually is some kind of way around this kind of issues

So it's probably the case fan. There shouldn't be any major differences in the operating temperatures if it fails. But especially in summer I would recommend that you clean it. Or if it stops working, replace it. But I think that it's safe to use the PC even if it fails. Unless it's somehow tunneled to the heatsink on the cpu. It's hard to tell when you can't see the PC
-
What fan? Graphics card, cpu, case fan or something else? If it's a reasonably old fan it's bearings might be getting close to the end of their life. The only thing you can do in that case is to get a new fan. You could try cleaning with compressed air. They sell it in bottles (yeah air in bottles actually sells...) Or if you have a compressor at home you can use that. But not on excessive air pressure levels.

bobandgeorge Quantity over quality I say The comic is updated daily.

Well the easiest option to get a program ran is to use the startup folder. But not many programs use it. They like to set a registry key. And you can delete it manually but messing with the registry isn't actually something that can be recommended. So the msconfig way is safer.
-
run --> msconfig --> startup tab, select the ones that you want to start. This is a bad way though, as when you manually run the program it probably just adds itself to startup. Better way is to go to each programs settings and configure them not to start on system start.

Well I was bored... Sorry for the quality as my gimping skills are pretty much non existent.

Too many great quotes here "blasta from the pasta" "it's getting cuckoo crazy ridiculous" This made my day

Thank you I'll post my comments here when I have watched it. This reminded me, I should really buy the star wreck dvd. As I liked the movie. The acting was... well non-professional but it made me laugh pretty hard.

Could you sign my copy ? It's the one that's going finland. It should've been ordered

Still nothing... I'll try this in IE. ... IE doesn't want to load that specific ad. I've refreshed 20~times...
-
Hmmh, I can't hear anything (yes I do have my headphones on, and the volume is up). So nothing else than a visually annoying ad for me. And I don't use adblocks because some I have tried just makes surfing the web freakishly low. The best one that worked was the one integrated to my Kerio. But now it has expired...

But there comes some stuff that I don't want on my PC with quicktime. Like the ipodservice and itunes (seriously last time I installed this and tried to uninstall I had to format/re-install.). I'll stick to the alternative
-
Get quicktime 7 or VLC media player. I watched it with VLC. Any other media player just gives me an error message or doesn't play the file.
