If you're interested in programming then go for it. Learning the basics now will make it easier for you to learn more advanced skills in uni.

If you're interested i could post some links to other game developement programs(some commercial some free). If you think that GM is a bit limited. And aren't afraid of some programming (don't worry it's not c++ or anything complex as that).

Check your firewall settings that TCP ports 139, 445 and UDP ports 137, 138 aren't blocked.

It's way too expensive. He probably doesn't need that much processing power and 2Gb of memory is a bit much. Also a single geforce 7800GTX is fast enough. He should check anandtech For price guides on computer hardware.

I have a problem with my smartphone. I installed some software (Total Ir and IrRemote) to it and now want to get rid of them. Normally it would be easy just to uninstall them from the application manager but when I use that the phone crashes. Does anyone know if there's some software that allows you to delete the program manually? Oh and the phone is nokia 6260. Any help is appreciated.

So let me get this straight, You have your printer connected to your other PC that is connected to the router? Or do you have the printer connected directly to the router? Also try to print something that isn't that massive in size. ~30 Mb of is a bit much for testing purposes. It takes awhile to be sent to the printers memory.

5. Starwreck <-- Has some terrible acting, but the plot and characters are so funny that makes up for it. It's a free movie made by amateurs. You can download it here or if that doesn't work here 4.LoTR trilogy 3.Forrest Gump 2.Minority report 1.Top gun (Watched it dozens of times when I was a kid. Usually just fast forwarded to the flying scenes .)

My advice: take the civic, citroen's tend to suck.

Windows XP freezes on "Logging off..." screen

Well you can use the router's built in firewall, but to get it working smoothly you'll need some knowledge on networks and TCP/IP. Software firewalls gives you more flexibility and are easier to use. -

Mybe it's some software you use. I've had tons of problems with free virus scanners/firewalls. So I just bought (well technically didn't bought it because the license came with a magazine subscription) a commercial one and it works like a charm. Try this: disconnect the pc from internet and uninstall kerio, then try to shutdown. If it now shuts down normally, then try to find another firewall program. -
My favourite is the bob-omb one As for the predators... I remember that this forum once had about 2 active female members, can't remember who they were though. And there's a faint memory of a "babes" thread... hopefully it's not going to resurface now. (off topic: what has happened to master goomba? The funny norwegian guy who bitched about their armys iMac's back in 200(1-3) . And the french guy who hacked people's hotmail accounts don't remember his nick either... )

It would be great if someone did that in realtime with the console itself, that is just a tool assisted movie (it's played with an emu in slo-mo and speeded up afterwards.) But it's a funny movie showing how fast you actually could able to beat the game.

Hmmm.. If i remember correctly it said somewhere that the PAL version of the game ikaruga had progressive scan support. Don't know how it would work though, ther isn't any mention of it in the games manual. Or I just missed it

Cofee it is for me, with no milk and maybe some sugar. Although tea is great with rye bread cheese sandwiches. If you don't like the taste of it, then you haven't drank it enough

If you have a graphics card that has more than one output, you can do it. If you have then connect the LCD TV to digital output and your monitor to the analog one (assuming you have a CRT monitor) It helps if you can post the model of your graphics card, then I could give more detailed explanation on how to do it.

Windows XP freezes on "Logging off..." screen
Bogbas replied to Meroigo's topic in General Chit Chat
Yeah, M$ really has screwed up the setup in win xp. If you try to repair the existing installation, you can try to do it from console if you press "r" in one of the first screens. haven't actually used that, because there are easier ways to repair the installation. If I remember correctly, you can repair the existing installation automatically by selecting the drive where the windows is currently installed. The installer will then ask if you want to repair the installation or install a new one. (Installing new one could erase your current installation of windows if my memory serves me right) Someone actually made a test, where a normal computer user (uses e-mail, does spreadsheets etc. but doesn't have any deeper knowledge of PC's) installs first windows 2000 pro and then linux. Don't remember what the distro of linux was, but the conclusion was that linux is actually easier to install. -
Videogame director's cut Has some funny flash animations about videogames. The site itself has a pretty crappy design but the flash movies are hilarious. Check out rise of the mushroom kingdom 1-4.

Have you got all the updates from windows update? I remember having that sort of problem, which was fixed after I installed the updates. -
Yeah great band. I once heard about some 13-16 year old girl who was talking about maiden in a record store. She said to her friend: "Iron maiden completely raped the children of bodom song, the trooper" or something like that. Laughed my ass off when I heard that I think they're both great, the original and the bodom one. Altough the tempo in the bodom one is insane
