But to do the remote controlling of your media player, you can use a series60 smartphone + bemused. You'll need bluetooth to get it working though. But the downside it only supports winamp and powerpoint.

If I remember this right the HDMI lead carries the video+sound signal in digital form. It is getting more popular in the new dvd/digital player thingies. It basically eliminates the need for many separate wires between the amp/tv/ digital player thingy. And do some searches on "high end" audio cables. I can assure you that you can't believe how high their prices are. And I mean regular ones with an RCA- connector.

Yes I would reckon so. My cheap wireless router has a 4 port switch + it can handle 10 (or something like that) wireless connections simultaneously. And for the PC to router connection you'll need an ethernet cable.

You don't need the modem when you get the router. Just plug the DSL line to the router and configure it to your ISP's settings.

I have to agree Almost found some of 100+ digital camera pictures. Could only restore one of them. But it seems that the other files were overwritten. Can't see how though as the drive they were on is rarely used... But still now I know what to do next time I lose data.

One that will 'kick-ass' in the fall. So I haven't decided anything spec-wise yet. I'll choose the components for it close to september. Who knows what will happen in the pc world over the summer. Probably not much since everyone is on summer vacation...

Yes I know that the human eye can only sense about 24fps. I don't know why, but I can easily tell the difference of a game running at 30 fps or 60fps. Even from 50fps increase to 60fps is noticeable(you actually don't see it much different, it just feels jerkier at 50). The 60fps seems a lot smoother. And the pc I'm getting is going to go well beyond 60fps for most of the time. But the power comes in handy when the fps would otherwise drop to 10-20. But back on the topic: So the interview basically says that the artx team is also making the cube chip? That's good as I don't really trust the 'old' ATI R&D departmernt.

Well the main reason for building a good gaming pc for me is that I don't want to upgrade it for the next 3 years. I mean I bought this PC three years ago, and only upgrades it has gotten is a new hard drive + 512Mb memory. Well actually I had to buy a new Mobo+cpu as the previous one broke...

Probably it would, but then you are vulnerable to viruses etc. But if you haven't forwarded any ports from the router to the comp you should be relatively safe. If you disable norton, try putting the windows firewall on and see if the problem persists.

A: Place where Gordon worked in HL1. It all begun there when a certain experiment went wrong (it opened a portal to an alien world). Freeman was just unlucky to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. B: This I haven't really figured out. But somewhere between HL1 and 2 the dude took over the world. Norton might be blocking the web browser? And I second what nukeblaze said, use something else than norton. But don't go antivir, it's as crap as Norton. I have tried it a few times and all it does is causes random crashes and other annoying stuff. AVG + Kerio ftw

Probably no, as the only info that I have been able to dig up on that is the infrared field emitted by the bar. Someone will probably take the thing to pieces and find out how it works when the console is launched though.

Well this can't be it says that i plays sounds lower than 10Hz. And the lowest frequency my heaphones can play is 11Hz... And most of the stock home stereo equipment cuts off before 10 Hz. Seems like placebo to me.

There's the PC. A naked model A kickass 20w+20w amp that I can't currently use. Made for cars, modded to run on pc's. The new 64bit processor is a power hog so my 300w psu can't keep up if the amp is connected The consoles, a bit messy imo. The speakers that are connected to the amp. They're from the seventies but still kick ass. They just don't make speakers like that nowadays. random cuteness Sorry about the captions being hard to read, the jpg'ing them did that.
