I don't think you'd need to do that at all, any more than you'd have to reconfigure your mouse for a smaller or larger monitor. If you think about moving a mouse, the amount you move the mouse isn't the same distance covered on screen by the pointer, but the distance from one side of the screen to the other is the same on the mousemat no matter how big the screen (although you can change the sensitivity, but that's not related to screen size). The Wiimore is similar in my opinion. You move right a little, the cursor moves right. As long as you can see the effect, it doesn't need to relate exactly.

But the sensor bar is not picking up a beam from the Wiimote, it's reading how far away the controller is and where it is in 3d space.

The controls on the Wii channel demonstrations look much more stable than, say, the first videos of Monkey Ball where it looked like Mohammed Ali was trying to navigate the menu.

Yeah, much better to get hit by a car and wake up to someone asking for your credit card, or live in one of the most developed countries in the world where millions and millions of people don't have access to healthcare. Our health service gets an unfair rap, partially because people buy the kind of tabloid scaremongering you refer to above. Just because only those who can afford it get healthcare, doesn't mean that the healthcare service is going to be any better or free of scandal. Look at the scandals in the US which largely stem from the capitalistic approach to the production opf medicines leading to huge and ultra-powerful multi-billion dollar companies being able to cover up side effects and falsify effectiveness of treaments.

I'm more excited about this game than any other game on the Wii to be honest. Far more than Metroid, Zelda, Mario...

An SD card is an SD card, it doesn't matter if it was made by Nintendo or Kodak it'll do exactly the same. As for the VC games, I'd imagine that getting the VC to run dumped roms off the net rather than just VC provided games will be one of the first things Chinese hackers will be attempting.
