Looks like extra remotes are going to be like gold dust for a while. Does anyone know for things like bowling in Wii Play and the monkey ball minigames where you take turns can you share a controller? Or have they been snide and made you need one for each player? EDIT: I just checked if my doorbell works lol

Are there any plans to distribute demos of Wii games in a virtual console type thing?

I hope when Argos say "My order" is coming on friday they mean the whole bloody lot and not just some games or something. Could be worse I guess, they could hold the whole order back until something like Wii Play comes in stock. Wish I'd ordered extra remotes as well, gonna have to run round like a fanny on launch day looking for them.

I'd be interested to know how much stuff the people who've been told they're not getting a Wii from Argos on launch ordered. If I were them, I'd give priority to the people who ordered a shit load of games and controllers with it because they're the ones you don't want to cancel and take their order elsewhere (especially as I think the mark up on the games and controllers is higher than the system alone)

My lass says we got an automated call from argos yesterday saying my order is being delivered between 8am and 6pm on Friday

Just got back from Frankfurt, had a great time. Match was pretty crap, but we got what we needed and the stadium and home support were awesome. We are top o the group, say we are top o the group!

See if it arrives from Argos, get some mates round for monkey ball and wii sports while all you losers are playing Zelda on your own

I've got pre-ordered: Wii Wii Play Red Steel Monkey Ball. Fingers crossed Argos can fulfill the order and have time to deliver it on launch day in between taking truck loads of 4 carat sovereign rings to little scrats. Then once it arrives I think I may go an an immediate mission to get 2 remotes and 3 nunchucks.

There was some arsenal fan in the pub shouting to himself "Gerrup Cahmpo yew fackin poofta! Fackin... hey you facking, what the facking, ah fack!" non stop and then he left when the 3rd goal went in. Exactly We should have won 4 or 5 nowt but for some heroic James saves and Martins missing some sitters.

If they at least gave you some free it would get people setting up the virtual console and convince them to use it once. It'd definitely make people more likely to fork out for extra points.

From speaking to people who've used Snes9x on their cube, it's actually a good emulator. The Genisis emulator is dodgy though.

If it's like the stars catalog where you get some with a game and stuff then I'll use em/ If not I'll just keep playing the retro games on my PC or wait till some nifty chinese hackers open up the virtual console to some tinkering.

Saw it a few weeks ago, thought it was piss funny. So did my girlfriend, although she's usually grossed out by stuff like this. The final setup was class.

Well I'm off to Germany on Wed morning for 4 days with 7 mates to see the Uefa cup game against Frankfurt, that should keep me busy. The annoying thing is, I've had about a month off work and the Wii comes out 3 days before I go back.

Hmm. I know what's going to happen here. Argos are going to have the Wii in stock on launch but something stupid like Wii Play wont be there so they wont deliver my order till they've got all the things I asked for> I can see it now.
