  1. If IGN say it's awful they're biased and clueless as well. And if we all get the game and also think it's utter shit, we're all idiots and Sony biased fanboys and should hit ourselves around the head with a bit of wood.
  2. I've always had serious reservations about Red Steel, but the other week when I placed my order everyone was saying it was going to be great so I thought I'd bite the bullet and get it. But still not convinced it's going to be anything other than mediocre. Good to see Wii sports getting a good score, not too surprised about Zelda not getting max scores across the board though. Not ordered it at launch, might pick it up after Christmas or something unless something like WarioWare comes out.
  3. Holy shit, I know I said I didn't care about this game, but the trailer looks awesome.
  4. I think your feeling is bollocks. An SD card is an SD card. If it's specific to the Wii, it's not SD standard and it's not an SD card.
  5. Ordered and hopefully getting delivered on launch: Wii Monkey Ball Red Steel Wii Play
  6. Just got a reply from Argos: I wrote: They replied: Sounds pretty promising - even though there's the usual disclaimers, it sounds like they've been allocated enough.
  7. Listen to the doctor is the best game in there, hilarious!
  8. As opposed to...?
  9. OK, panicked and ordered from Argos, Wii, Monkey Ball, Red Steel, and Wii Play. Now everyone cross their fingers and do the lucky goblin dance for me please.
  10. Grrr, I dunno what to do now. Do I wait and ask my mate if his small games chain will be getting them in and pre-order that way, do I pre-order at Argos of HMV knowing that those type of companies could well say "Sorry, we'll deliver some time next year, we'll keep your money tho"... Gahhh.
  11. OK, I wasn't going to pre-order at all, but I'm getting slightly concerned now. If I order one for delivery from Argos is that actually guaranteed? Or could I get an email on launch day saying "Sorry, we will ship when we get stock in space year 2007"
  12. They tend to be cowards, living in a state of fear. That's why they want to surrender freedoms for imagined "security".
  13. It's OK - carbon dioxide is our friend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_VmMIbWKoo
  14. Yeah. A court appointed by a U.S.-backed government gives him the death penalty four days before the U.S. mid-term elections. Who'd have thunk it.
  15. Soldiers signed up to defend their country, not to go bounding across the world being George Bush's personal errand boys.
  16. I've no doubt that Saddam deserves his fate. But the problem is, this trial shouldn't have happened until Iraq was fully autonomous and no foreign forces were on its soil. Only then would there be credibility behind the judgement. An American puppet trial will do nothing for the longer term future of Iraq.
  17. Red Steel imho. Disagree with Wii Sports, I reckon it'll the the console's killer app early in it's life.
  18. Why? Should I have made a new thread for my new stuff?
  19. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/11-pcs-SUPER-MARIO-BROTHERS-Figures-Nintendo-GASHAPON_W0QQitemZ200042606342QQihZ010QQcategoryZ348QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem There's only the full sets on ebay at the mo, I have seen them sold separately before mind. They're just little rubber things, hollow, with a hole in the bottom. I think you get them with sweets in Japan or something.
  20. Almost forgot about this thread, a few more additions since I made it:
  21. Sega Marine Fishing
  22. Had this on the DC and GBC, but it was rather difficult to work out what the hell I was doing in Japanese.
  23. Swedish nerds will be updating everything as we speak Hopefully a similar superpatch to that which came out for PES5 will be out soon (For the PC at least)
  24. The only games I was going to bother with were TG-16 ones because I couldn't get a decent emulator running on my PC. Now I've got the full version of magicengine for classics like Bonk and Photograph Boy, and got CD games like Dracula X working too (Which I doubt will be available through VC anyway). So I don't think I'll bother with any tbh. On a PC you can play with the SNES, N64 or PSX controller (I wouldn't bet on it being too long before someone made a Wii classic controller -> USB converter), use save states, play online multiplayer, get games from other regions and fan translations of japanese games, use a TV out to play on your TV, improve the look of the games with things like anti-aliasing and SAI engines, all without having a crippled selection of games and having to shell out for them. I can't see any reason to use the VC emulator over PC emulation at all.
