Konfucius Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Oh man I thought this was artwork at first until I read the comments of the two people above me. Absolutely awesome.
Dante Posted November 1, 2006 Author Posted November 1, 2006 You can watch videoclip of the game here.
triforce_keeper Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Oooooo an advanced Wii Boxing. Looks errm......tiring?
Stocka Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Looks errm......tiring? Try being a real boxer
James McGeachie Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Hajime No Ippo is awesome, if this game turns out good I can only pray it makes it to an English speaking country at least so I can import or something.
Cube Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 So [name]: The Fighting Revolution, then? A boxing game where you play as a ghost in shorts...genius (sarcasm) Looks fantastic. It's games like this that make me glad the Wii isn't as powerful as other consoles. edit: Fighting Spirit Revolution, then.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Why show the ass? Why not only show 2 gloves?
Emasher Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 boxing fans will love this (i wont buy it though)
khilafah Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 i will get the japanese version for sure! looks nuff fun!
Konfucius Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 You can watch videoclip of the game here. Thanks for the link. Also on that site are two gloves with the logo on them. Could it mean that the game comes with actual gloves? Why show the ass? Why not only show 2 gloves? You wouldn't complain if you could select the gender But actually the upper body is half transparent. I didn't notice it in the pictures but you clearly see it in the video.
flameboy Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 for me the above images help to show another aspect about the Wii is all about, not only will this game have wii specific controls, but it has also obviously been designed with a clear and direct idea how they want the game to look, they could have tried to motion capture all sorts of stuff and made realistic models but instead they have created a very distinct and unique graphical look.
xernobyl Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 It's based on an anime. Never heard of. Looks great. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Hajime+no+Ippo
dazzybee Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Whats the cross hair all about? This game better use two remotes (none of this nunchuk bull), and it definitely not be a point where you wanna punch game with different buttons being different punches....Though actually that does have potential. Hmm....
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 After reading reports from people pleying Wii Sports Boxing, the on-screen movements have to replicate the players hand movements exactly, for the game to be most fun. Even if it makes them tired.
khilafah Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 video! http://www.jeux-france.com/news19417_hajime-*****po-wii-en-juin-au-japon.html
THE ganondorflol Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 PLEASE< PLEASE KEEP THE NAME DAMMIT!
gaggle64 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 That it is what is known as "hot shizzle" ma nizzle. EDIT: I'm watching the animé on 'tube. I sincerely hope the game turns out as homoerotic as this.
Stocka Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 If they actually make it accurate I could really love this.
Fierce_LiNk Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 The answer is probably no, but I'll ask anyway. Is this getting an European release?
Teppo Holmqvist Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 The answer is probably no, but I'll ask anyway. Is this getting an European release? At least it could possibly get US release, as all earlier Ippo games had release there. Unfortunately Ippo games haven't sold really that well, and latest retailed with retailprice of 20 dollars. If it flops even on that price point, it is obvious that there won't be more Ippo games in the west.
