Fields Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Right, whenever we have a fancy dress ent at uni, I always leave my costume until the very last minute, and it ends up being shit. However, with Halloween coming up, I have a chance to break with tradition and come up with something good. Because I'm rubbish at this sort of thing however, I thought I'd better ask for some advice. So, any ideas for a decent costume that I can have ready for saturday night? And what is everyone else doing this Halloween?
triforce_keeper Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 I go trick or tricking :D:D Oh and errm..........where a giant turd and put some fart spray on it! Then everyone will scream in horror. Or not.
Tellyn Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Go as Darth Vader, buy the voice changer, make a cape out of a bin bag, draw a little panel on card and stick it to your chest, wear black clothes and make a lightsabre out of those giant wrapping paper tubes.
Letty Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Be a binbag monster. Just wear a binbag? With a hole in it for your face.
Fields Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 The whole bin bag thing is my usual tactics, I want something professional looking this time. Link isn't a bad idea, but I'm a traditionalist and believe that Halloween costumes should be scary. Elves with pointy green hats aren't particularly terrifying, are they?

Gaijin von Snikbah Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Strap some bombs to your chest, that oughta scare them.
martinist Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 i agree, go as a suicide bomber or "a ghost"

Byukyak or however his name is spelt Lolers. z\
EEVILMURRAY Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Mask and wig arrived today. Not an official wig as it has a cracking flick at the ends, I shall trim them before the night. I ordered my cape and hat today. The hat isn't a proper one either. Apparently it's the one Freddy Kruger wore in his films, I wouldn't know... Never seen them. I'd be shafted royally if a bought an official hat. I've only seen it on one site and it cost 20 quid. Bollocks to that. Here's hoping all goes well. The mask gives you an impression of eyes crossing.. y'argh.
KKOB Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 i need a costume for the Scissor Sisters fancy dress gig on the 31st!!! god damn it why cant i think of anything good!?!?!?!
Cube Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Elves with pointy green hats aren't particularly terrifying, are they? Tingle is. Go as him.
Guest Stefkov Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Go as Ash Ketchum, then send out a pikachu doll at people. thatll scare the shit out of them.
Kurtle Squad Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Everyone should just go as Storm Troopers, with a few officers thrown in too
rokhed00 Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 I was going to make an effort this year, but then I thought, why bother, I'm scary enough as it is.
Charlie Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 I go trick or tricking :D:D Do you say "trick or treat" when you go to someone's door? If not you go guising.
Fields Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 I have a few ideas now but I don't know where to start with making them. Does anyone know any good websites that tell you how to make costumes without trying to flog you cheap shite? I know there's a few people on here who are into cosplay, so any advice on where to buy stuff/how to put it together?
