Ren of Heavens Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 On Wikipedia these are confirmed as launch titles: Avatar: The Last Airbender Call of Duty 3 Dragon Quest Swords Elebits Excite Truck Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Marvel: Ultimate Alliance Metal Slug Anthology Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Rayman Raving Rabbids Red Steel SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam Trauma Center: Second Opinion Wii Sports I guess FIFA and probably some more EA Sports games will be out as well...
Kryss864 Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I'll take The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Red Steel, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, and Madden NFL 2007, thanks (and Call of Duty 3/Excite Truck, if they turn out to be launch titles....)
Bluejay Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Metroid Prime 3 or Red Steel, I really don't want it to but I feel Red Steel is going to flop, 6 or 7 scores. We'll see. Twilight Princess Metal Slug Anthology Those are my definates, damn, thats too many, my wallet aches at the thought.
Nintendork Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I'd have thought EA would have 'got in there' with SSX before Nintendo has the chance to whack out 1080. Snowboarding is quite a big market.
MindFreak Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Twilight Princess is the only certain one.. I'll be buying Metroid Prime 3 when it gets cheaper.. Rayman is a bit interesting, though.. And I don't know anything about Dragon Quest Swords, so I won't say anything about it.. but the title is .. well.. rpg-ish.. ^^
masaki86 Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Guaranteed buy; Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Red Steel The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Trauma Centre: Second Opinion Wii Sports Interested, I need to know more though. Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors Elebits Madden NFL 2007 Metal Slug Anthology Rayman Raving Rabbids Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Cracking Line up Gromit!
King_Mushroom Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 The inclusion of a Zelda title for launch changes the line-up from simply 'good' to 'great'. Very rarely are launch games in production for 3 years.... granted it is/was a cube title. This is shaping up to be the best day in gaming ever for me. New Hardware (Shiny!), nice Blue lights, Amazing new way to play, NEW ZELDA AND METROID. HOLY SHIT!
mike-zim Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 well my definate gets are: Zelda FF:CC (loved the first one) Excite Truck a variety i think interested in: Metroid Prime Elebits Rayman Red steel dragon quest wii sports damn it i will have absolutely no money for the rest of my life.
Patch Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Definite Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Wii Sports Interested Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Elebits Red Steel Madden NFL '07 When Gamecube launched, I bought Luigi's Mansion and Super Monkey Ball. This time I could be buying three times as many games.
Owen Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Definately add WarioWare and Excitetruck to the list! I can't see Nintendo not releasing WarioWare as a launch title, that shows why they created the Wii and why it's so bloody great. BEST.LAUNCH.EVER!
darkjak Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Man, there's not a single friggin' racer in there. NO, Cars aint a racer, that's a kiddies frigging shite. OK, excitetrucks seems interresting, but I want a REALISTIC racer! With licensed cars and stuff. Hope EA show their next NFS game soon:( Do you think I should buy Zelda:WW for the GC or the Wii? What differences are there between the versions, appart from the distanced weapons being controlled by the nunchuk?

What differences are there between the versions, appart from the distanced weapons being controlled by the nunchuk? There will probably (not definitely) be Excite Truck near launch and all the reviews say how fun it it. If you want realism and sponsors then go get another console cos I don't see PGR or GT coming to the Wii anytime soon.
Retro_Link Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 http://www.cubed3.com/news/5263 Need for Speed: Carbon on Wii? Whilst trawling through the listings at EBGames.com, a place where many games are listed before ever being announced, it was quite pleasing to find that Electronic Arts is apparently bringing its new racer Need for Speed: Carbon to the Nintendo Wii on 1st November, 2006. The date will be a placeholder, but the game's existence is very likely.
DCK Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 That's very good news. NFS should be fantastic if it's like Excite Truck.
Stocka Posted May 23, 2006 Author Posted May 23, 2006 Yeah I might actually start enjoying racing games on the Wii. Never been a fan of car racing holding down a button a sterring with the analogue stick, gets dull fast for me. I do love Mazza Kazza though, as its just too fun and F-Zero is different class.
Tellyn Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Definitely getting: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Excite Truck Wii Sports Interesting...: Wario Ware Smooth Moves Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Konfucius Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Wow, this will be an expensive launch if all of the games indeed make it for an EU launch too. For me it's WarioWare Excitetruck Zelda TP MP3 Elebits
Stocka Posted May 23, 2006 Author Posted May 23, 2006 As everyone else is doing it, this is looking likely for me: Definately Getting Zelda: Twilight Princess Metroid Prime 3 Corruption Red Steel Wii Sports (Xmas) Wario Ware: Smooth Moves Considering/Interested Excitetruck Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors Elebits Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Rayman: Raving Rabbids
