blender Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 They must be waiting fo the ok to announce NEWCOMER "SONIC"
Fierce_LiNk Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 So, the game is playable. He's right, millions will lap it up. But, millions would no matter what stage it was in.
Tellyn Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 They won't rush it out. Sakurai realises the potential of Brawl, with Melee being the best-selling GC game, he will only release it when he feels that it has been perfected enough. December in Japan would hopefully mean January for us, but from a marketing point of view, the best time window would be Christmas.
Jhaqen Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 I've never played that much Smash Bros, but the excitement of others is rubbing off on me. Should I fork out for Melee, or wait until this version as my "introduction" to the series? (p.s. Has online been confirmed?)

I say wait for the new game. it looks the exact same as melee with on-line play but i hope i'm shocked
Goron_3 Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 I say wait for the new game. it looks the exact same as melee with on-line play but i hope i'm shocked Actually, the air game has been completely redone, it's easier to link up moves, and the pace is slower.
Goron_3 Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 air game? what do you mean? Well in an interview, the guy in charge of it said the 'aerial part of the game will be changed' (or words to that affect). I rekon we might see the ability to block whilst in the air or something.

I agree with Fresh, you just have to play Melee as it has to be one of the best fighters for single player and multiplayer ever made. You can probably pick it up dirt cheap aswell so theres no reason not to.

Atomic Boo Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Ive just had a great day today, it would have been complete if Boo was announced for Brawl. I so want him to be in it, such a character cannot not be in the game a second time round. or blargg to be in it... lol he rules too
McPhee Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Wouldnt Boo be at a bit of an advantage already being dead? :p
Blue_Ninja0 Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Boo could not be a playable character because it would paralyse in shame when a character looks at him. But it could make a great item
killthenet Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Looks a lot like Melee but with Sonic and Kuckles tacked on to it. I bet that's all they've done, darn Nintendo. They just re-hashed Melee and added Snake and the like into the mix. I hear Shania Twain is now a main character, with the "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" video as her arena. They wanted Robert Palmer, but had to settle for Shania's big gay face. It was clear from the start that all this Wii malarkey was Shania's idea. Nintendo have always been in cahoots with her, we should have known! Who else could have championed Donkey Kong in the early 80's?
Owen Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 The image just above is fake right? Thats Melee definately. The other image, may not be, graphically looks more like Brawl. Good fake if it is. Pleased to hear it's quite playable etc..

killer kirby Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 new sighting Wow that's what SSBB would look like if sonic and Shadow were in the game......tacked on and gimmicky.
Goron_3 Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 Is Ness in Brawl, regardless? I reckon he'll be in, considering he's been in the first 2 and considering how popular Earthbound is in japan.
mcj metroid Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 i think they should take mr gamr and watch out. he was so god damn horrible to look at....Also the ice climbers wern't really needed either.

Nooo ice climber players are so fun to watch The shit they can pull off is ridiculous! I really hope they stay. As for Game & Watch, he should stay but I don't think many will will complain if he goes.
Cube Posted April 29, 2007 Posted April 29, 2007 I think one or two of the "regulars" should have a brand new move-set.
