The-chosen-one Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Hold on a second, am I missing something or is mario climbing that ladder. Characters couldnt climb ladders before could they? mm now you mention it i didn't notice before i hope you can also play your created level online against a friend
MindFreak Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Had anybody thought of this feature prior to today? It had never occured to me that it might be in the game. This is nice.
The-chosen-one Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 no me neither but it was something i would really like to have in it its a dream to have it in every game
Serebii Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Now the so called hardcore players can have their own special map...a single platform
Cube Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Hold on a second, am I missing something or is mario climbing that ladder. The DK level has ladders that the characters can climb.
Zelda_Rulez Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 mm now you mention it i didn't notice before i hope you can also play your created level online against a friend It was in this update before: http://www.smashbros.com/en_uk/stages/stage07.html
Jonnas Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Holy mother******. Wasn't expecting that! A stage builder? And the best part, the "submit" option. Does that mean I'll receive funny pics or cool stages every week? Even If I can't save those stages,I'll just rebuild them! Hands down:  Best Update Ever
Cube Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Does that mean I'll receive funny pics or cool stages every week? No. It'll mean that you'll receive a funny picture and a cool stage every day.
Deathborn Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 WOOT!! Can't wait to make that damn classic DK stage! And, as expect, Dedede seems to be the first heavy floaty character.
The-chosen-one Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 WOOT!! Can't wait to make that damn classic DK stage! And, as expect, Dedede seems to be the first heavy floaty character. haha i was thinking the same to build a stage like that
not_so_tiny Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 This is brilliant, think of the possibilities. I hope where he says it's SD compatible that means we can run the stages we create directly from the SD card, i assume that's what it is. Oh wow, this is just so great, how the heck are they going to make a sequel to this game, it's perfect.
Ren of Heavens Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Cool, now just announce Mega Man, Cloud and Pac-Man as playable characters and I'll be happy with this game.
Petey Piranah Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Cool, now just announce Mega Man, and Pac-Man as playable characters. Fixed. Cloud has no place in this game, at all...
jammy2211 Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 It feels like they're trying to fit as much as they can cram onto a 9GB DVD as possible. I'm sure there are no storage problems, but this game seems to boast having everything possible, and then more :P. One criticism - you should be able to rip MP3's off your SD card to play during a stage, but I guess that'd make sharing them and stuff harder to do. But still, if they turn submitting screenshots / levels into like an online competition, I've got some absolutely awesome ideas. Gonna be epic.
Emasher Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Best update yet. What's next, a character builder?
Strange Cookie Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Is it just me or are expectations rather high for this game?
Hellfire Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Is it just me or are expectations rather high for this game? Yeah, most probably when it comes out people on the internets will whine and moan about everything and say Nintendo sucks and doesn't have quality and whatnot.
Shino Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I don't like to be redundant but... Forever is not enough time to play this game.
Serebii Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Least it gives the official site something to continue daily updates after release lol
gaggle64 Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Holy moley, I would have never have guessed this. I need this game so damn badly!
Jonnas Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 It just hit me. What if they delayed the game to try to fully implement the "submit" feature? Sakurai himself said they weren't finished with it yet and that it could've not even been in the final game. Now, I just hope I can create moving stages. Moving platforms are a given, but moving stages would be the icing on top of the cake. I'm going to create a stage for every game I ever liked. Can't wait! And because this update needs more praise:
