Magnus Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 One day soon, I'll get tired of achievements, the Halo and Gears franchise wells will have dried up and that'll be it, I'll make the transition to PS3. Or maybe even Wii U! ha But you'll never be able to give up Fable!
Cube Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I don't care about Halo, GoW or Fable, but the 360 is still my platform of choice for multiplatform games. Although PC may replace that for now (due to using a 360 controller with my PC).
Shorty Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 But you'll never be able to give up Fable! I did about 30 seconds into Fable III
Magnus Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 That means you've missed out on Heroes and The Journey! I hear those are the best ones. I guess they pretty much have to be better than Fable 3...
Magnus Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Fable 3 was alright, just like Fable games are always just alright (we don't speak of the spin-offs). Somehow it never manages to be very good and I'm always left feeling disappointed. If Fable was a color, it'd be beige.
Jimbob Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Fable III is a good game, there are many things that are different about it compared to the original and II. But it is a damn sight better than The Journey and Heroes thats for sure. Now that Molyneux has left, maybe we'll get a game that isn't overrly hypped and turns out to be good instead.
Dog-amoto Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Remember when people didn't care about a console's user interface? It used to be about the games, man!
Ike Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Oh, looks like the Smart Glass Android App is out already.
Cube Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) They built that quickly - a few days ago they said it would be 2013. This actually seems to work pretty well. I'm testing it out on Internet Explorer now and movements are pretty instantaneous. Plus SwiftKey X is a much better text input than the 360 controller. Edited October 26, 2012 by Cube
Ike Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Tried to use it on my Galaxy Tab 2 but got an error message saying they only supported smart phones for now. Threw it on my Nexus S and it worked fine. When it works it pretty quick, but it was lagging a lot for me but that just might be my network setup. It stopped working immediately after I loaded a page in IE though, and I got randomly disconnected a couple of times. Need to test it out some more but it's pretty cool. It's faster to navigate with a controller but it's better in IE (that is if it doesn't stop working ).
Serebii Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 The iOS SmartGlass app is up, replacing the Xbox app so you just need to update that one
Shorty Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 The iOS SmartGlass app is up, replacing the Xbox app so you just need to update that one So if the Xbox makes good use of the smartglass function with games and tablets... do we think it could rival the main selling point of the Wii-U? Perhaps we'll see an update soon for ACIII which adds the Wii-U functions to the tablet or smartphone you already own....

Jimbob Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) I see the prototype for the PSP has been released. Edit: It would seem us in the UK have access to the NBA app, which is handy for me. Edited November 9, 2012 by Jimbob
Cube Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 USA Xbox Live 10th anniversary gift: UK Xbox Live 10th anniversary gift: (Requires Kinect)
Magnus Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Sending out a console as a reward for people who already own the console is a bit silly. They may as well just send them money, because those things are just going to end up on eBay anyway. Now Wreckateer... no one would be able to sell that even if they could.
Jimbob Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Thats a bit crap. US get a console as a gift, the UK get a game. Unless thats a console skin, this is a crap deal.

Wreckateer is being given away free to celebrate the 10th anniversary. The console is being given to people who have actually been Xbox Live users for 10 years.
jayseven Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 (edited) Games I'm currently borrowing/progress; Dishonored/1000G RAGE/910G [co-op missions left but cousin is not bothered. May buy game when back in UK to session with a friend] Battlefield: Bad Company 2/600G [only online left - but not bothered enough] Lollipop Chainsaw/30G NinetyNine Nights/0G [not started it, probably not going to, either] Mass EffecticantrememberG [played through before but essentially lost the save file, so want to blast through it quick] Hoping to borrow Darksiders 2 this fortnight, and also rent Halo: Anniversary! I also still have Metro 2033 to play -- and Halo 4 of course! Edited November 18, 2012 by jayseven
Magnus Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Man, I hope you're talking about Mass Effect 3. The first game takes a minimum of three playthroughs to get all achievements in.
