Babooo Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Dont know if anyones interested or aware but if you pre-order Too Human from HMV you get 1000 free points to spend on Live Do you actually have to make the purchase to get the points?
Daniel Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 It says you get the points within a week of the game being released but i guess you could leave it unopened and return it as a duplicate present or something
LegoMan1031 Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 I just tried the demo for Too Human and i didn't like it... The combat felt abit shit. I'm disapointed.
Tales Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Is it possible to turn of that thing that notifies me when friends logs on? It's very annoying when I'm watching a dvd.
Smowza Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Is it possible to turn of that thing that notifies me when friends logs on? It's very annoying when I'm watching a dvd. It is, if i remember right it's in the options when you press the guide button.think its personal settings then notifications.
Dan_Dare Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 It is, if i remember right it's in the options when you press the guide button.think its personal settings then notifications. player be layin down some truth, yo.
LegoMan1031 Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Or you could just sign out when ur watching a DVD?
Dan_Dare Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 sometimes it auto signs you in though, and you get a barrage of 'ba-dum!' blips
LegoMan1031 Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 sometimes it auto signs you in though, and you get a barrage of 'ba-dum!' blips Fair play. Didn't think of that.
Calza Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 You can set notifications to come up as normal but not to be shown when your watching a video be it from the marketplace or a dvd.
That Guy Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Just bought Mass Effect. Anyone got any tips for the game before I start? I read I shouldn't save in elevators. Also, which characters are the best ones to get through the game?

Also, which characters are the best ones to get through the game? Probably the soldier. The game doesn't seem to work too well without the assault rifle.
Dan_Dare Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Play as a woman. *much* better voice actor. urr...dunno what else to add really. All the classes are pretty fun. Sniper Rifles are pretty useless, but there's an NPC who uses them and he's a crack shot- lets you play with more fun weapons. oh, and pump up either charisma skill when you can. Really useful. Also one last one: your skill for stuff like computer hacking/healing is from your party, not you. Don't bother spending the points there with Shepherd. Use a specialist NPC.
The Bard Posted August 17, 2008 Posted August 17, 2008 Hey, once you gain experience with the snipers as a soldier, I found them to be fairly kickass. I've only completed it as a Soldier so far, and the biotic powers are almost useless to begin with on the hardest difficulty, but yeah the female voice actor does seem more convincing.
The fish Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Also one last one: your skill for stuff like computer hacking/healing is from your party, not you. Don't bother spending the points there with Shepherd. Use a specialist NPC. I disagree - hacking, OK, but ranking up healing really helps. I'm probably gonna start again tomorrow, I loved Mass Effect.
Dan_Dare Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Well you could make Shepherd a healer I suppose. I always thought that as long as you had a couple of NPCs that you use regularly who can heal, you were kosher.
Guest Jordan Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I've been whoring achievements all weekend... I've gotten 800-something outta Lost (going to go back through the chapters to pick up the achievements I missed) and 850 out of Fifa 2006, just need to finish a League to get the last achievement from that. I'm also going through SC4's tower mode (on floor 50 something on that) and playing through the rock solid BC: Rearmed. And depending on reviews i may/may not be getting Too Human at the end of the month.

Got the played 100 matches online last night, i'm only on level 13 though and can't be arsed continuing to play online to get to level 20. I'm only on level 17 or something on the tower and there is other 'simple' achievments i should be able to get that i ent yet. The double KO, destroying all equipment, 1000 attacks, guarding etc.
