Oxigen_Waste Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 28 Days Later: Scary, Believeable, Incredible 10/10 Ok, you can like it all you want, I won't be upset about that... but believeable, it wasn't.
Coolness Bears Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 i watched Die Hard last night forgot how good it was. Fast paced and action packed. Exactly how i like my 80's action films. 9/10
The Bard Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 "No fucking shit lady, do I sound like I'm ordering a pizza?" - Bruce Willis' moment of glory
Coolness Bears Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Die hard is full of classic quotes. I think we all know what the most memorable one is.
Monopolyman Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 i watched Die Hard last night forgot how good it was. Fast paced and action packed. Exactly how i like my 80's action films. 9/10 Aye, same here. I always liked that laughing bit at the end.
Daft Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 Is the bit where Donkey does the puss in boots cute eye thing in it? Everytime I see that I go into hysterics. Its the "errrr kill it" bit. I thought the second was better than the first imo. Yea, but it doesn't have that cute music with it... Ace Venutra on the other hand is awesome!! 10/10
mcj metroid Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 "No fucking shit lady, do I sound like I'm ordering a pizza?" - Bruce Willis' moment of glory ha i forgot about that one. Oxigen_Waste Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 ha i forgot about that one. Street fighter 2:animted movie You better watch this it's fucking brilliant/10 I agree with the ten for ace ventura as wel( ok maybe a 9 from me) But liar liar gets a ten from me The action is brilliant, yes, but other than that, it sucks
Jimbob Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 The Living Daylights Timothy Daltons first of two outings as James Bond, a great film with some great moments. 9/10
welsh_gamer Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 A clean digital version of Goldfinger is being released in some cinemas on July 31st for one day only. Would be a great experince to see it at the cinemas I suppose. I for one will defintley be going. And all Bond films rule, excpet Die Another Day, and one or two of Moore's efforts.
Hellfire Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 IMO every bond film is crap bar Goldeneye, Goldfinger and Casino Royale. I agree with you there.
Slaggis Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 The Grudge 2 7/10 I loved the first one, and this one didn't really dissapoint me in terms of scaring the living daylights out of me. I was really annoyed sarah michelle gellar was only in it for about 20 mins because she was pretty good in the first one. The ending was horrible, because it basically says there's no way of ever getting away from the curse, which freaked me out more so because usually there;'s some sort of happy ending and its fine, but here there wasn't. I really enjoy these type of more supernatural horror movies. Oh, and the scene with the hot fat at the beginning is hilarious. Superman Returns 8/10 I seem to be one of the only people that really enjoyed this. I really enjoyed the special effects, the acting was pretty good and it was just pretty enjoyable. Wrong Turn 6/10 Can't really be described as scary to be honest. The only good thing about the movie was eliza dushku (if thats how her names spelt). It was better than most crappy "scary" movies released nowadays, but the killers were a little ridiculous and I'm getting really bored witht the whole stabbing the killers over and over ans yet they still get up thing. A Nightmare On Elem Street 8/10 This was no where near as scary as people tell me it is, but it was a good laugh to watch with my mate and his sister. The part where freddie has huge arms is hilarious, and he runs like some sort of sheep on steroids. The ending was the only bad bit about the movie really. Someone being sucked into a door knob for christ sake. (well not really, but it looked like it), and the bed that turned into what looked like a firdge freezer with a skelaton in it. The concept of the movie, and the start is good though and I did enjoy it, even if it was for the "wrong" reasons.
mcj metroid Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 The action is brilliant, yes, but other than that, it sucks It's an action movie:P I think they did the best anyone could have hoped. it's the best movie made out of a game yet anyway
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 It's an action movie:P I think they did the best anyone could have hoped. it's the best movie made out of a game yet anyway Wrong. Silent Hill. Even though it's not that good, it's the one that got away with not being too bad.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 The last film I saw was Aliens, and me and Viper did something special for that. Him, on one end of the internet. Me, on the other. My DVD...his DVD...3,2,1, SYNC! We timed it rather well actually! It was hilarious. 10/10. One of my favourite movies of all time, it has EVERYTHING. Good plot, great acting, fucking awesome script, great pacing, action, suspense, drama. I love it. Only downside, imo, is the design of the Alien. Should've kept Giger's Alien from the first film.
mcj metroid Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Wrong.Silent Hill. Even though it's not that good, it's the one that got away with not being too bad. I too believe silent hill is very impressive but really better than street fighter and even Mortal kombat? I disagree but i can see where you are coming from. It's the only one that stuck to the game properly as much as it could.
Eddage Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Pffft, the first Mortal Kombat film is blatantly the best game based flick. It's miles ahead of the rest!
mcj metroid Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Pffft, the first Mortal Kombat film is blatantly the best game based flick. It's miles ahead of the rest! Well as far as film films go. ya it's the best.
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I too believe silent hill is very impressive but really better than street fighter and even Mortal kombat? Pffft, the first Mortal Kombat film is blatantly the best game based flick. It's miles ahead of the rest! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL You two are actually stating that MORTAK KOMBAT (lol) is a better movie than Silent Hill??? Even the Mario Bros film is better than MK!!! And what's more scary, I think Raw is actually saying it's a good film... :D:indeed:
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 There has never been a good Computer games movie. Silent Hill blowed ass too It was the best of them all. Although, if you ever played the games, it's a disappointment. A huge one.
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 It had themes that could of made it the "best". But it didnt use them to the degree it should of, making it a very dreary and wasteful piece of film. I honestly dont rate 1 computer game movie that has come out. Resident Evil Acpololyse was a good laugh I guess, despite being god awful. That doesn't contradict anything I said. It's still the best game to movie conversion.
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 In your opinion ^ Not in mine To me it was shit like all the other game-films, had potential though... So wich do you think deserves that "honour"?
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 The honour as best computer games film? Ummm none, every single one I have seen has sucked ass tbh. There's got to be a "best" one. And stop saying "computer games", it's games, in general. This IS a gaming forum, afterall. :P C'mon, wich one did you despise the least?
Oxigen_Waste Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Im going to pretend you just asked me to list the best film with a plot centered around a video game. And my choices are eXistenZ and Tron Nah but seriously, as I am forced to choose I am going to go with Mortal Kombat. Purely because it partly captured the essence of the games and was kinda fun too, despite being fucking shocking. I seriously hate computer game to film conversions. How can you seriously choose MK over Silent Hill?
Hellfire Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I don't care about this vg movies are shit discussion. Mario was entertaining, I like MK back then, haven't seen it in a while and Silent Hill is a pretty good movie. That's about it.
