Retro_Link Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Next time Kate, don't snort it in public? Thing is she wasn't in public; some people took secret (obviously) images of her on their camera phones! There isn't really many places a celeb can take it they will be safe nowadays, what with camera phones etc... I'm not really sure what i think of the newspapers even publishing this story in the first place; because whilst it will sell papers, by invading her privacy in such a huge way THEY KNEW the consequences of running the story would effectively ruin her!! Surely there has to be some level of privacy!? Did people really have to know that she did this, NO; had any member of the public done this would it have mattered, NO! I dunno, i certainly can't agree with what she did on any level, but i think the consequences might just be to harsh! Although she's still loaded i suppose and is likely to bounce back!

EEVILMURRAY Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 Seems a bit ironic that she has lost most of the respect that she had in the public eye. Don't make me laugh.
Athriller Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 that's what gets to me. that someone could cause another human being that much pain and suffering for the sake of a cheque. we're not vultures, we're human beings. "Man...is a tame or civilized animal; never the less, he requires proper instruction and a fortunate nature, and then of all animals he becomes the most divine and most civilized; but if he be insufficiently or ill- educated he is the most savage of earthly creatures." - Plato
Jack Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 She doesn't even do decent drugs either. Coke is shit and way too expensive. We should start a fund to get her some ether.
The3rdChildren Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Drugs are for mugs. Not really, whatever floats your boat. Miss. Moss should have been a little more conscious of what she was doing, and who exactly she is. The two don't often mix. When you're a celebrity your private life is often much less than private. I don't condone what she did, and I don't particularly care about her career or her as a model or person, but she has to expect some kind of backlash for what has occured here, and backlashed she has been. No more expensive Marks and Sparks birthday cakes for her.
dukkadukka Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 "Man...is a tame or civilized animal; never the less, he requires proper instruction and a fortunate nature, and then of all animals he becomes the most divine and most civilized; but if he be insufficiently or ill- educated he is the most savage of earthly creatures." - Plato i don't really understand what point you're trying to make here. edit - ooh, i think i might have it. are you implying that the photographer isn't truly to blame, or at least any more than the rest of us, he's just filling a role that society has created. and that if it wasn't him it would've been someon else. and maybe that the real problem is that the british public have a thirst for malicious gossip like this? just a theory, am i on the right tracks?
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 What I got from that saying was that if humans were not educated they would could kill a lion/other beast of magic. As mentioned she is very sorry. http://media.guardian.co.uk/advertising/story/0,7492,1576319,00.html "I take full responsibility for my actions. I also accept that there are various personal issues that I need to address and have started taking the difficult, yet necessary, steps to resolve them," Let's review: I take full responsibility for my actions. = I was fully aware I was breaking the law and the impact it would have on my career. I also accept that there are various personal issues that I need to address = However, I have to be informed of my own personal problems by someone else whilst I contemplate my rebelious streak and the negative effects on my shitty ads by indulging in drugs. and have started taking the difficult, yet necessary, steps to resolve them = I promise I won't do it again mummy. Note, she doesn't actually say anything about not taking drugs, she just mentions the problems which apparently caused it.
Hem Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Why do you care about someone you don't even know in person?
dukkadukka Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Why do you care about someone you don't even know in person? it's the vacuum of celebrity culture, we created it, we hate it, and yet we're drawn to it at the same time. why we've given such priority in our lives to gossip about the fantasy lives of celebrities, i don't know, but it does worry me. (yes, i do love the commas )
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 Why do you care about someone you don't even know in person? You don't know me in person [At least I think so... ] why care enough to post? I'm there's someone you don't know that you knock one out over.
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Of course the fashion people are supporting her, caues they are full of party people. They shouldnt say its ok, to do illeagal stuff. She must be punished hard! I voulanteer to do the spanking.

You know i pretty much feel the same way; dunno if you'd say it was exactly what you were talking about; but i really don't like all the celeb gossip magazines and news that everyone is drawn into, such as on magazine covers "top 10 skinniest celebs", "top 10 celebs with no makeup", "celebrity sweat patches!"; I really find it hard to believe why anyone can be that intersted in these things and i just think, leave the celebs alone, it's pathetic! Guess it's the culture we've become; people like to read other peoples problems to make themselves feel better! Ah well!
Eddage Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Completely agree with you there Retro, the other day on Sky after watching teh simpsons the next program was "top 20 skinniest celebs"! I mean who really gives a flying fuck!
Gaijin von Snikbah Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I hate drugs. It ruins humans.
bob Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I hate drugs. It ruins humans. On the other hand, it does wonders for spiders. Just look at the drug ones compared to caffeine. Note:this really isnt relavant. I was bored.
Guest Offerman Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I've little against Kate, I don't condone Class A or B drug use - but shes paid the price. Cocaine Kate. As for Pete Doherty, or however its spelt - he should be shot. I don't wish violence on anybody, but I would laugh histerically if he was merrily walking down the street one day and a gang of thugs came out of nowhere and just kicked the crap out of him. I mean, he sings in a band thats total crap, he looks a state, and is not fit to shovel crap from the streets - and he thinks hes the bees knees. Why is he still alive!?

I would have to argue that it is not safe to take drugs anywhere, part of the reason that that they are illegal is that you are much more likely to die when using them then whem not. lol and on the kate thing i think peopel should just leave her be and continue on with life the way it was before this happened. she is a grown up lass and she should be allowed to make her own decisions and live with the consiquences.

kopo Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 She took drugs, big fucking deal. Yeah those companies have the right to fire her, but all those other people actually bothering with this, cheeses. The people who run those papers and took the pictures must be shot, not she.
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 23, 2005 Author Posted September 23, 2005 Shes an ugly fucker anyway. Word up! The people took the pictures must be shot, not she. They're getting rid of her, they deserve a bloody medal.
Lammie Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Shes an ugly fucker anyway. I second that notion.
Guest Offerman Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 I second that notion. Proposed, and seconded. We are all in agreement then.
Guest DS MaNiAc Posted September 23, 2005 Posted September 23, 2005 Honestly, I dont know what anyone sees in her tbh
