CVD Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I don't buy physical CD's anymore, I don't see why I should pay £15 in HMV when I don't need to leave my home and get the same content (usually more) for £7.99 on iTunes. Anyway... U2 - Original of the Species (Single Version) James Blunt - Chasing Time (The Bedlam Sessions) Jack Johnson - Sing-a-Longs and Lullabies for the Film Curious George Hard-FI - Stars of CCTV (Bonus Video version)

rizz Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Today I bought up Hellfire by 1349, and Led Zeppelin 4, also this year I bought Master Of Puppets by Metallica, and Ghost reveries by Opeth, which I haven't even played yet.
Monopolyman Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 Jeez, I haven't bought anything music related since the end of last year. Ashley Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 well, youve quite a collection ashley but will young ? my mum craves his stuff. buys every cd and calendar etc been to 4 concerts hes a good singer but lacks the songs and style i really want KT Tunstalls album Not as impressive (or costly) as last year. Bought 12 cds in the first week of 05. Was pricey. Anywho. I just felt like getting Will Young's album. Never had any of his before but I love "All Time Love" (im a sucker for upsetting romantic songs), and found "Switch It On" alright. Theres some songs on the rest of the album that are surprisingly upbeat. "Ain't Such A Bad Place To Be" is quite funky, and "Happiness" is nice. Always good to have a wide range of cds I say, so a little pop never hurts. I really want KT's too, but my list of "CDs to buy" is never ending.
Blackfox Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I only buy records from gigs now. That way i know most of the proceeds are going to the band, rather than (like Colin implied) HMV.
Letty Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 the only CD Ive bought recentley is marilyn Manson - Jesus Christ Superstar.
Platty Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 I buy CD's all the time infact i almost have a constant flow of packages from play.com and have gotten to know my postman rather well to the fact we have lenghty conversations and laughs when i see him. Comments such as "It never stops" or "what is it this time" and "are you running a business in there or something". Im just glad he is my postman actually as the old one used to nick some things im sure as i had many packages go missing.. Anyway im going way off topic with all my postman talk so i will post my last 10 CD's i bought: (in no particular order) The Go! Team - Thunder, Lightning, Strike The Kooks - Inside In/Inside Out Arcade Fire - Funeral The Arctic Monkeys - Whatever people say i am, That's what Im not The Ordinary boys - Brassbound The Ramones Anthology Franz Ferdinand - You could have it so much better We are scientists - With love and squalor Editors - The back room Maximo park - A certain trigger
Tom Posted February 21, 2006 Posted February 21, 2006 i usually download albums, but when i feel a band really deserves it, or isee a good price i'll buy the cd. paerticularly now that im earning enough to live on im buying more cd's, as i much prefer having them to mp3's anyway. in the last couple of weeks i have bought: We are scientists - with love and squalor (signed at an instore ) coheed and cambria - Good apollo... Wanted to buy it but I should be saving my money. Its a gift and a curse that theres no record store in my town. If there was I would have bought Spoon's album this morning because I felt like playing it at work but theres not so it saved me some money.

rizz Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Just thought I would mention when I was in Music Zone they had the Led Zeppelin 1-4 albums for £4.97, didn't see how much Physical Graffiti was though, and didnt see any others at all. If I hadn't seen the 1349 album I probably would have picked up all 4 Led albums :P
