Currently I've got a pre-order in for the generic official Case + Screen Protector from Nintendo... ...but I feel like that would just be a stand-in while I wait for a case I actually want to come along. The Tomtoc ones I've seen look decent, and there's no doubt in my mind that other screen protectors are probably better options in the long-term, so I'm not too sure what I'll go with yet! No plans at the moment. I had a case for the original Switch, but didn't get that much use out of it as I primarily play in docked mode. Never got a screen protector for it, and thinking about that now, it's actually the first touchscreen device where I didn't, as my DS, DSi, 3DS, 3DSXL and Wii U all have one. So yeah, will wait and see if I end up playing Switch 2 a bit more in handheld mode (unlikely) before considering any of those extras. 1

martinist Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) I never really bothered wit ha case for my Switch. It's literally never left my front garden. I only got a screen protector because it felt wierd taking it out of the dock and the screen was all exposed to everything. I'm not going to bother with either for the Switch 2 for now. Might get a screen protector a month or so after launch. EDIT: I got an email from My Nintendo Store on Monday at 8:48pm about payment for my Gamecube controler. Edited 3 hours ago by martinist

I had the Switch 1 version of this and use it to this day. Have this one on order and can't see any reason to move away from it later - how come it's just a stand in for you? Will Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The email thing is kind of annoying. I had mine for the controller and case this morning so moved money into my current account to pay for it. If it doesnt get taken today then they may as well have not sent the email, the money will go on other stuff coming out first.
killthenet Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I still have an official case I got just after launch for the first Switch which hasn't worn at all but on the official one I bought for the OLED the zip went after about 18 months so I'm hesitant about picking up the official Switch 2 one. Apart from the zip breaking my only gripe with either of the Switch cases I've had is that fluff tends to stick to the system sometimes which makes it a bit annoying to constantly clean off
