Ashley Posted Sunday at 07:54 PM Posted Sunday at 07:54 PM As suggested by @Julius, given there may be a rush/scarcity this will be a place to give people a heads up about where to find them. The topic is set to unlock when the Direct starts which is a feature I've never used before but fingers crossed! 8

Julius Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Pre-orders on the official UK site go up next Tuesday (8th April):
Julius Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Just now, Ike said: Why is there a queue on the Nintendo Store already? Probably people trying their luck for Switch 2 and not seeing it's not until week Also maybe the GCN controller?

Julius Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Way more detail on pre-orders and pricing now that the Find Out More isn't returning a 404: TL;DR: Opportunity to preorder from the Official Nintendo Store will initially be available on an invite-only basis to NSO members, criteria above. From 08/04. Games, accessories and upgrade packs available to pre-order from 24/04 – including the GCN NSO controller. Pricings listed. Physical pricing higher than digital pricing across the board. Ike Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Better put some more play time on the Switch then. @Glen-i should be guaranteed at this point.
killthenet Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Gah, my brother pay for our Family Membership of NSO so I won't be eligible to pre-order through that scheme

Yeah, that was my first thought – and most people on here who play mainly on Switch should be good to go, I imagine. I, however, don't think I will there was a small break between my standard NSO subscription and then buying the NSO + Expansion Pack; I play on my Switch SUBSTANTIALLY less than my PS5; pretty sure I'm opted into emails at least Would be nice if those attending the hands-on events got a ticket or something, but that sounds a little greedy ah well, I'm sure there'll be other places to pre-order from if I can't get one from the official store. Either way, good on them for finding an effective counter strategy to stop/massively reduce scalped units! 1

Depends if you need to meet every criteria or if they weigh them. I see the cut off date was 2 days ago, so no sneaking in some extra hours.

I opted into emails and everything else. The site says "Has spent a certain amount of time played purchased/paid Nintendo Switch games". I mostly played Fortnite in recent months which is F2P so i assume that doesn't count. Edited 5 hours ago by Helmsly 1
killthenet Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago So launch is going to be pretty expensive - if I go for the MK bundle, a pro controller and another game then that will run me about £600

I'm hoping it just means they're considering all three criteria but don't necessarily need all three, a few days lapse being the reason to miss out would be very cruel! 1
Helmsly Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) I am surprised the Switch 2 in the MK bundle doesn't look any different. Like, a different colour or something Edited 5 hours ago by Helmsly
Julius Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Started totting up my launch day plans and, uh...yeah this is going to be one pricey ride! Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle - £429.99 (assuming I'm sensible and don't do what I probably will do and buy them separately because I want it physically) NSO GCN controller - £58.99 Switch 2 Pro Controller - £74.99 256 GB microSD Express - £56.99 So that's at least £620.96 for the prices we know (again, do I get World physically or am I cool with getting it digitally...idk). For the prices we don't know, I would then probably pick up the Welcome Tour (if the price is right), Fast Fusion (felt like I missed out on Fast RMX by not being there for the Switch launch, and I have enough curiosity about RMX and have heard enough good things on here), and maybe Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster – always been curious about Bravely Default, but honestly that one depends on whether or not other JRPGs I'm interested in from the OG Switch are getting a boost here (I'm thinking Dragon Quest III HD-2D)...but I would like a second physical launch game to go with Mario Kart World. Yeah, this is a £700+ launch for me pretty easily. Time to tweak my budget a little bit, as I underestimated – mainly because of the NSO GCN controller, to be honest! Edited 3 hours ago by Julius
Ike Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Oh, just got an email to confirming my invite to preorder! 1

Julius Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Switch 2 pre-order page is up on Amazon UK – currently showing as unavailable. Potential for it to go live in the morning at 08:00 (based on their past pre-order update times), if it doesn't just drop randomly this evening/tonight?
Hero-of-Time Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I also made the cut. Doubt I'll be buying it though.
