Cube Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 There are some 64DD stickers. But I think that's all that's been spotted for that.
Dcubed Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Good luck sneaking that Wii Remote through customs. They're gonna charge you more than your entire trip cost for that one!

Plus technically you can take a stuffed toy on your person and it's not classed as hand luggage. Granted, this is usually for children but I don't think it's exclusively for them.

I'm kinda glad its over Japan otherwise I'd end up spending a small fortune. The store looks like the best thing about this - I'm sure I'll spend a fortune when we go. 16 hours ago, killthenet said: Can we club together to send someone over there to buy all the merch we want? I can get stuff for people. 3 hours ago, Ashley said: Plus technically you can take a stuffed toy on your person and it's not classed as hand luggage. Dcubed Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 (edited) Oh snap! They do have a portion of the museum dedicated to hardware prototypes!!! Including the Revolution "Star" controller and the only officially existing Sky Skipper arcade cabinet (the one that was previously being kept at NOA). All of a sudden I am now much more interested in going! Edited October 2, 2024 by Dcubed
Hero-of-Time Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Quote The museum only opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, but online marketplaces are already being flooded with items bought from the venue. Seemingly in a bid to combat scalping, a post on the museum's official X account on Tuesday confirmed that the sale of some items will now be limited. These include a collection of keychains fashioned after Nintendo consoles, as well as large cushions that come in the shape of Nintendo controllers. Online marketplace Mercari has over 1,000 listings for Nintendo Museum items, with some of the most in-demand, such as the large Wiimote cushions, selling for over $215. The museum's shop, Bonus Stage, sells all sorts of memorabilia celebrating the company's history, including T-shirts, mugs and other collectibles featuring all of Nintendo's home consoles and handhelds. Scalpers are the worst but some of this is on Nintendo. I mentioned this in the PS5 thread in relation to the 30th anniversary products but what do companies expect when they limit products from their fan base? This kind of merchandise should be made for the global audience. Having stuff like this available everywhere would instantly stop scalpers. 2

Dcubed Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) I wonder what music would play for Switch, considering that it doesn’t have a boot up animation… Maybe the music that plays when you first set up the console after a factory reset? Edited 9 hours ago by Dcubed

Many, myself included, don't fully power down the system and so will never have to turn it on and see a boot up animation.

Hell, I'd be disappointed if it wasn't. I'd spam that thing until the button wears out 1 hour ago, Hero-of-Time said: It's something that I miss from the console but it's also something that the majority of people wouldn't hear most of the time. Yeah I honestly can't even recall ever hearing that start-up music before, so you're 100% right about that
Ike Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Who's carrying keyrings around that size? GameCube must be the best value, isn't that the longest startup sound? 1

Otherwise, you get just a white-on-black Nintendo logo with no sound when you turn the console on. 1

Once I've transferred everything over to the Switch 2 maybe I'll factory reset my OG Switch to hear it again just to feel that rush
