When you play with these sets, just what are you doing with them?

Going by his discussions with me over past voice chat sessions. I think it's the actual building that's the fun part.

As a former Flipnote enthusiast, I get it. Creation is fun.

Yeah, I have been looking at that Bowser car since the reveal. It looks fun. My son wants it as well, so I hope I can get it at a good price at some point.

I’m more of a display type person so I haven’t actually built any except for this one and Bowsers Airship. But the idea is that you just set up a course, and just run your Mario along it. It keeps track of things like coins and I think there is a timer in him too. I’m sure there’s loads of fun to be had by younger people. But I just like to build and display.

Seems your spelling mistake and my attempt of low brow humour passed you by as well. :p

Let's just go with us being too high class and dignified for that to amuse us.

Yeah, he'll believe that.

Tee hee, Isaac gave Garet a Hard Nut!

Considering they had a teaser for this announcement, I'm a bit disappointed that this is also a teaser lol. A teaser of a teaser, really? Glad I didn't watch the whole LEGO Direct or whatever they call their streams.

Lots more sets for @BowserBasher to buy.

Definitely getting the train set and Boos Haunt looks like a nice set. I’ve not been buying as many as I had when they first came out. I’m preferring the ones that can be displayed more as a single piece like Bowser Airship from the original lot. So am certainly picking my sets now. Really am interested in what they do with the Mario Kart sets though.

Rumours of a Deku Tree LEGO set have been doing the rounds for a while now. We want it, you want it and, if the latest rumours are to be believed, then it seems that we won't have to wait too long for it.

The latest chatter comes from the LEGO-focused site Bricktastic which has previously shared information on upcoming sets prior to their official reveal. According to the site, a Deku Tree LEGO set will be released on 1st September 2024 and will hold a beefy €299.99 price tag.

Fortunately, it is claimed that you will get a good number of bricks for your buck, with the set consisting of 2,500 pieces, four minifigures (Classic Link, Young Link, Breath of the Wild Link and BOTW Zelda) and two new pieces for the Hylian Shield and Ocarina. As suggested in previous rumours, the set will supposedly depict either the green Ocarina of Time or pink Breath of the Wild Deku Tree designs, with a full rebuild required to swap between the two.

If true, this could be the first Lego Nintendo set that really tempts me.

I don't know, I the Deku Tree isn't that interesting to me but I probably can't withstand the temptation once it's revealed. And if the rumour is true, we get some great mini figures with it...

Oh No, which version to build!?

Obviously the only sensible solution here is to buy both and have each version built :p

Don’t you mean buy two sets? It’s two different Deku Trees that can be built from the same set.

Anyway I think I’ll add it to my wish list. I have other sets I need before this. But I think it’s a neat idea that they have designed it so you can build two different versions.

I worded it terribly, but yes, that's exactly what I meant :peace: it's the only sensible solution!
