Serebii Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 So, the final game in the Year of Luigihas been announced, a Wii U DL title I do enjoy Dr. Mario, though I haven't played it in years. Definitely considering getting this, though it is a bit steep £13.99 on January 15th
Ronnie Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I don't usually complain about pricing, but that does seem steep for a game like this.
EEVILMURRAY Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Why must they end the Year of Weegee with this shit?!
Jimbob Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Price is a little steep for something so simple, yeah it may be fun. But i'll wait me thinks.
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I was excited about this, until I saw the price. Day before my birthday, as well. Make it under a 10 and we have a deal. £9.99 is perfect for this.
Serebii Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 Oh, I misread, it's £13.49. Not that it makes much difference :p
Serebii Posted January 1, 2014 Author Posted January 1, 2014 North America got this yesterday, seems pretty cool. I'd bite at under a tenner, but £13.49...I'm unsure.
Serebii Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 Anyone going to get this? I decided I may as well, so may need people to destroy online :p
dazzybee Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Yeah I'll probably get it. Begrudgingly. Like Wii Sports it's slightly over priced, irritatingly over priced, just a few quid less would be perfect. I genuinely think they'd get more sales if they did, but... hey. I really like Dr mario. Have Germ Warfare on the Wii shop, probably not quite worth the upgrade, but I'm a bit of a sucker...
Serebii Posted January 15, 2014 Author Posted January 15, 2014 Downloaded it. Having fun, relaxing, but it does get trickier than I remember it
Josh64 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 How is it in general? I would be tempted even at that price if it weren't for the fact that it feels as though it's a cheap (expensive on this end) cash-in and a scrubbed up WiiWare game.

I would be tempted even at that price if it weren't for the fact that it feels as though it's a cheap (expensive on this end) cash-in and a scrubbed up WiiWare game. It's addictive, and the Germ Buster & Operation L modes are pretty good too. Wouldn't say it's worth the price though
Josh64 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I guess I'll wait and see if it ever appears on an eShop sale!
Ealdst Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I'm tempted on this but will resist and hold out for a sale. Not sure if I only want it because of nostalgia tho, many happy memories of thrashing my sister and mum on multiplayer as a kid in the original and the 'fever' theme still gets stuck in my head to this day!
Pestneb Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Thing is, I imagine online is the most appealing part of this game - an element that is likely to die off as it ages. so say it gets a £5 price drop.. essentially the online will be stripped out by then. Kinda tempted... but only when I have enough people in my friends list to make online play worth it
dazzybee Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I downloaded it. Not really expecting it to be any different to Germ Buster to be honest. Still can't believe how much Nintendo screw over their fans
dazzybee Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Played some of it... Hmm.... It really is disgusting how much they've charged for this. I love Dr Mario, but this IS Germ Buster form wiiware with an L shaped mode tacked on. Nintendo are disgraceful sometimes they really are. Still, it's nice to have it gamepad only (I really do love that feature) and it's got me playing this great mode again, but it's unbelievable they're charging just under 14 quid for it... Saying that. Anyone want to play online?!?!

dazzybee Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 How much did they sell germ buster for when it released?? 1000 points. Which was about £7 wasn't it?! Can't remember anymore... This should be a fiver. If this was on a mobile phone it'd be free
Pestneb Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 1000 points. Which was about £7 wasn't it?! Can't remember anymore... This should be a fiver. If this was on a mobile phone it'd be free sounds about right I enjoyed dr. Mario, but I wouldn't really be willing to shell out more than £4 on it - On the basis that it should be out on nes vc. Having online tempts me, but not by £10
are1981 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Anyone fancy some of this online NOW?! I'll play online! But be warned, I'm not good, so you might not get enough of a challenge. On Retro Remedy I am only at level 23 on low, 15 on medium, 10 on high.
