mcj metroid Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 OH it's that time of year again ( well.. not really) If you take halloween as seriously as I do then it's time to start preparing your costume. Otherwise this can be a general costume thread where people post their silliest outfits. Last year for holls I did Club orange guy: The year before I did Scully from X-files and a friend did mulder. Trying to think of a good idea for this. I've narrowed it down to: 1: The penny from Ghost( the movie) 2: Misty from Pokemon 3: Staryu from Pokemon actually thats all I got so far. Anyone thinking this far ahead yet?
bob Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I looooooove dressing up, as regular readers will know. This year, our theme is 'Good vs Evil', and i'm thinking of going as both, by doing some sort of Two-face style half and half costume. It seems like a lot of effort though, and i'll probably just end up going as something generic though.... This was mine last year: which i put a fair amount of effort into.
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I love dressing up as well (which, as with bob, should also be evident), probably owing to me being a bit of a theatre geek. I once went as Mulder to a halloween party, complete with badge and all, but I don't know of any halloween parties yet this year. I'm hoping there'll be one at my course at uni - there are a couple of fans like me.
Murr Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Last year the theme was celebrities but make them dead, so I went as Slash from Gun's N roses. Year before that was just anything so went as a devil... This year the theme is Disney Characters... so yeah, a lot of dead princesses and such. I've called Dibs on Aladin.
Charlie Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 Last year for holls I did Club orange guy: That is not a good idea this year.... .. This year the theme is Disney Characters... so yeah, a lot of dead princesses and such. I've called Dibs on Aladin. Although not a Halloween party, a club in Glasgow are having a Disney party in a few weeks. As soon as I saw it I knew I'd have loads of friends would would be keen. I'm currently thinking Hercules.
mcj metroid Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 That is not a good idea this year.... You mean dressing up as one of the "Bits" girls? That existed last year too to be fair
Charlie Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 You mean dressing up as one of the "Bits" girls? That existed last year too to be fair This is why.
mcj metroid Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 This is why. Wasn't a very obvious connection there in fairness. I was wondering haha
Jimbob Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I would say isn't this a little early, but shops think Christmas begins in September. Always like seeing everyone out and about on Halloween all dressed up. Havn't done that myself for years, well not since most of my friends moved away anyway.
Ashley Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I kind of want to do Mitt Zombie but I think a) it won't really be that big here and b) I'm probably not doing Halloween this year. Plus c) I stole it from Liz Lemon but I'm cool with that.
mcj metroid Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 My only rule is it has to be comfortable costume because Il'l have to dancing in it. So that's Staryu ruled out...
EEVILMURRAY Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 If I do wear a costume I'll probably end up using the Ghost Rider costume again.
bob Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I have actually been struggling with the question of how I can get away with wearing a nappy at Halloween, so thanks for that.
Iun Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 I might be going as Link or Commander Shepherd - I'll have to paint/attach a red and white stripe to my body armor, or alternatively buy a Link costume. I haven't decided which yet.
mcj metroid Posted October 14, 2013 Author Posted October 14, 2013 Ah this old thread. Well need more ideas for next year anyway. actually ended up doing drag last year haha
bob Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Need a costume with the theme 'Fire' for our Fireween party. Suggestions welcome. Unless they suggestion is Sir Alan Sugar, in which case please leave.
Ramar Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Need a costume with the theme 'Fire' for our Fireween party. Suggestions welcome. Unless they suggestion is Sir Alan Sugar, in which case please leave. Earth! FIRE! Wind! Water! Heart! You know it makes sense.
Josh64 Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 @mcj metroid - Man, that's amazing! I went as Ash last year but put in no where near as much effort :p I have no idea this year, i'd LOVE to go as James (and I'm going out with my friend Linzi this year who said she'd be Jessie) but there's just no way we can get their hair
