Christmas Presents

Recommended Posts

I got a 3DS that I have to share with my brother.

Of course, I already knew that, since I'm the one who bought it.

Still, pretty awesome. :hehe:

In Denmark we open out presents on Christmas Eve, and I'm mighty pleased with mine! :D I got a new bedsheet

Your post should have ended there.

You bought it but are sharing it with your brother? That's quite generous of you!

I'd recommend Mario Kart and Tales of the Abyss, although you might find the latter quite hard to come by.

I bought it but my parents are paying for it, since it's a Christmas gift. Though I would have shared it either way, because I'm nice like that. ;)

Already planning to get Mario Kart 7 at some point after I'm done with Super Mario 3D Land. I'll get Tales of the Abyss if Bamco ever does a second printing.

I bought Ine fuck all.

Doesn't matter, I don't need you for presents.

I got: set of cutting boards like I already knew (they're nice), two cds (belgian bands), two Disney dvds (Lion King and Oliver & Co), some socks, some scented sticks to put in a room, a weird keyring thing with a whistle (mom said how my R2D2 Lego one looked ugly, pfff) and Super Mario 3D Land. Yay!

Also a bit tipsy, whooo, wine!

My family just opened all our presents. I don't understand how I get better and better hauls each year - usually it's the opposite as you get older/leave childhood behind in the rearview. I'm so stunned.

MUSIC

The XX - The XX (Vinyl0

Drake - Take Care (CD)

Feist - Metals (CD)

The Unthanks new live thingie (CD)

Joni Mitchell - Don Juan's Reckless Daughter (CD) -technically bought myself but wanted to receive today

DVD's

Tree of Life

Modern Family Season 1 (A joke thing, heard it's good)

Richard Dawkin's Collection

Wolverine & The X-Men Complete Collection (A stunningly great thing)

Bolt - a joke, as I've never seen.

Some random ones from our family secret santa - Like fine but means nothing/I wouldn't choose them.

A set of good quality Oil paints, with some brushes AND zest-y stuff. This stuns me as I'm in such a mood to paint.

New bottle of HUGO BOSS - Bottled Night. I was running out so this is good.

CLOTHES

A stunning/I would buy for myself grey (my new colour) jumper. a lovely fit.

One of the current Rihanna Loud-era t-shirts from Topman. I love so much.

A T-shirt I asked for from the Hayward Gallery website, of the painting Red Antipodean by George Condo.

A pair of Calvin Klein trunks. Mmm yes.

A spiky earring.

SO MUCH LINDT LINDOR CHOCOLATE - Give it 2 me

Some Harribo

Galaxy Selection Box

Arguably my favourite presents - a 2012 Official Taylor Swift calendar + a poster from a family friend's daughter (who's 8), with whom we share Taylow love, just saying "I <3 Taylor Swift". Yes.

Erotic Fridge Poetry. I love.

£15 Edinburgh Filmhouse voucher - so classy.

OH AND £100 from my mum, so unnecesarry but so appreciated.

A few other bits, face cloth, ipod-to-car radio transmittor thing etc. We still do stockings for a lol, but just do little joke things, like cheap plastic toys and stuff.

So yeah, I'm really grateful.

My mum got 2 iPads, so she could choose which she wanted most. Everyone was like "!!!!!!!!"

Clothes, candy and money. Same procedure as every year. I don't get my family. I have spesifically told them I don't want clothes and the candy is mostly of the luxury kind that is meant to be good but really isn't. What's wrong with dvds? It's the perfect gift if you don't know what to buy someone in my opinion.

Modern Family Season 1 (A joke thing, heard it's good)

No joke thing about it, Modern Family is good. Fantastic even. Watch it and love it.

Anyway, I got:

£200 from parents (wasn't expecting as much so nice)

Some aftershave from sister/nephew

Gift card for Gamestation (no idea how much is on it. Would've preferred a HMV one as I'm not looking to buy games but guess I can get Skyrim now :D)

Box of Lindt extra dark chocolate Lindor truffle things (these'll be gone by midnight )

£60 from my Grandmother

A nice collection of gifts. Although the best gift, I have to say, was watching my nephew open the presents I gave him and then enacting a full scale war, with Pearl Harbour-esque moments. Such a great kid. Didn't play with anything else for an hour.

So who's going out tomorrow to brave the sales? I will be but I need to make sure I don't buy a pair of headphones. I've got my eye on a pair of the new QuietComfort noise cancelling headphones by Bose but really shouldn't be buying them.

At present:

A mouse which looks like it's from a Mac,

Two pairs of socks and a mug with some marshmallows, hot chocolate and chocolate.

That's pretty much it for the day. I think I may have guilted my Mum into getting me Mario Kart 7 depending on later outcomes. I know she said she was going to concentrate more on the stepgrandkids, which is fair enough - they're only young 'uns. But I wasn't expecting total abandonment. Ah well.

But tomorrow it's off to Daddy's for the other half of the family's presents.

Peanut butter cereal for what the fuckingz
