Dan_Dare Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 This is also in the talks behind the scenes. sweet. should be good if it kicks off.
MoogleViper Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I won't hold my breath. Why would you? That's hardly going to solve anything.
Raining_again Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Why would you? That's hardly going to solve anything. Or will it.... Heh, i kid mr reZ man. Games sub-forum thingy? Sounds like a good plan!
MoogleViper Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Or will it.... At least I had the decency to lie.
jayseven Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 merge the rate the above shitty threads please. They suck immesurably. Yes I've said it before but it needs to be done for the good of mankind. Oh yah and gamesforumkthxbi!
Shorty Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 When you merge a thread, all posts in it are merged chronologically, meaning that all previous ratings will become messed up, all posts and discussions will be in the wrong order. Also unless more than one person really thinks they need merging, I don't see why two threads is doing any more harm than one. Games forums and online forums don't really need asking for anymore, we've pretty much settled on some decisions, just need to put them into practice. No Caris, you can't have a custom user title.

Particularly if we were to have a games forum. But yes. Belt up about the same old stuff. We like to make sure everyone is on board with decisions like this and someone boarded a train, plane or automobile to London and somewhere else instead.
Caris Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I have a general suggestion. You know the "Post your Desktop" thread? Can we get rid of it and have it monthly like March Desktops, then April Desktops etc. I've seen it done in other forums and i just think it will make alot more people post in the thread, it's quite dead these days.
Coolness Bears Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Ooh i like that idea! I've seen it on Gaf and i find it more interesting I think more people would post in it, I would anyway. as long as there is a source for the wallpapers as some people get really good ones.
MoogleViper Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Any update on the online boards or a games board?
jayseven Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 (Hows the NE Awards write up going fellas?) (you should probably ask Dyson as he said he'd do it months ago)
Supergrunch Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Any update on the online boards or a games board? I believe we have solutions to both problems, which just need to be implemented.
Supergrunch Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Are we at liberty to say? God knows, which is why I didn't. You'll find out soon enough.
Charlie Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Are we at liberty to say? I can't currently remember but if a small donation were to be made to my PayPal address then I might start remembering.
Emasher Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 God knows, which is why I didn't. You'll find out soon enough. Then why not just PM an admin and ask if its ok to say. Its just an internet forum, why bother keeping it under the wraps?
Charlie Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Then why not just PM an admin and ask if its ok to say. Its just an internet forum, why bother keeping it under the wraps? Loads of reasons: -Feeling of power over other people -The fact you know something which someone else doesn't -Annoys the people who don't know it -Don't want other forums to steal our ideas -Nothings been decided yet and we might want to change and then people will say "I thought you were going to do this instead?"

Corruption I tell ya. Damn you and your moderating powers. *shakes e-fist*
Charlie Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Corruption I tell ya. Damn you and your moderating powers. *shakes e-fist* And there we see point 3 in action.
Emasher Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Couldn't another forum steal your ideas after it comes out though anyway?
Charlie Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Couldn't another forum steal your ideas after it comes out though anyway? Yeah, but then we could say we had it first and they would be copying us instead of the other way round. It's not likely they will steal it, but it's always a possibility.
Emasher Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Whatever you decide to do though, there is a good chance that some site has already do it.
