Tales Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Will be playing for the most of the evening if anyone wants to join.
Oxigen_Waste Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 Maybe if you didn't have to argue against everyone all the time it wouldn't take years. I don't argue at all IRL. I use the internet to vent precisely so I never have to be obnoxious IRL. I think you'd be rather surprised by how nice and unconflictuous I actually am, lol. I make friends very easily and fast, don't you worry. But true rapport does take years to build, dude... that feeling of being mutually understood (truly understood) is a bond that takes alot of time to establish itself. Especially if you only meet sporadically online. =p The real problem here is that I'd probably want to play the game very differently to most of you. When MH4 comes out you bet your ass I'm gonna be playing with N-E! I may be an internet asshole, but you guys are the ones I like being an asshole with, if that makes any sense. =P
stuwii Posted October 29, 2013 Posted October 29, 2013 Is there a way to separate the bank accounts of online characters? Me and my brother each have a character but the Account is the same for the both of us so we have to share the money

Goafer Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 $500,000 from Rockstar is now being dished out. Got mine yesterday. Already spent all of it on a car...
Tales Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Once I'm done with ACIV I will spend them all on the biggest apartment.
Goafer Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I was tempted to get the most expensive apartment, but I already have a high end one ($205,000 IIRC) and the most expensive one offers nothing that my one doesn't already. All the 10 car apartments allow you to plan for heists when they're introduced.
Cookyman Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 What I spent my moneys on: I hope you kept the receipt.
Dog-amoto Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Finally finished the story mode tonight. Now working towards 100%. Currently on 96% - just need to do some stunt jumps and knife/bridge flights.
Goafer Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Today I learned a few things: 1. People online who do the "story" missions generally suck. 2. Whilst a camper van might be the most inappropriate way to get from the mission starting point to the action (no matter how much you upgrade it), it does make fantastic mobile cover when you eventually get there. 3. The BF Injection is a brilliant all round car. Cheap to mod/insure, quite fast when upgraded, decent handling, pretty much unbeatable off road etc.
James Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 The only thing worth doing online is getting cargo Bob, picking up another players car with the winch flying very high and then release it.
Jimbob Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 Finished the main story last night, that was certainly interesting to say the least. What was with the 3 choices, why would i want to kill Trevor or Michael?. I spent the entire game learning about the history between both, and Franklin gets given a choice by Steve and Devin to kill either. Of course, i chose the 3rd option which was to take out Steve, Devin etc instead. The better option i believe, and one that many people would have taken. The last 2 heists was interesting, went for the Subtle approach with both (Firetrucks in the FIB and robbing the Armoured vehicles at the bank), a friend did the other way so told me about it and i think i took a better option. Decided with my 18 million to buy the hanger, a tank, cargo helecopter, a plane, few other helecopters and a few boats as well as some propteries with Trevor, Michael and Franklin and still have change left over. Overall, it was a good game and i'm happy with how it played out. What (i think) is left to do Finish Flight School Finish the races (all i had left was boats) Dig up Nuclear Waste Do some parachuting Find the remaining Spaceship parts Find remaining Sub parts Find them random bits of paper I think that's about it, done everything else and own 4/5 of all properties.
Tales Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Anyone still plays online on this? If there's interest I could make a private room and we can try the new missions and the survival. Will be online from8:30ish anyway Going to try to save up for an helicopter, and all without taking advantage of exploits. Got 250k saved up so far and currently at lv 33.

I wouldn't bother buying a helicopter. Once you hit rank 50 a buzzard spawns at the airport and sandy shores airstrip. At your rank I think a cargo bob spawns. I still play a lot on 360, mainly land races and free roam. Level 124. So most of my money goes on custom cars. I now have every type of vehicle maxed out performance - all in a lovely shade of orange. Although I'm getting a little bored, even with the extra races in the beach bum update. Also the patch has drastically reduced the amount of money you earn after completing races and missions.
Tales Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Hasn't the patch mostly affected races? Particulary Criminal Record and the other short one that people grinded like crazy for quick cash and levels. I could never bother with that. I play everything, often voting for the next job I don't have a checkmark next to. The money from missions are just fine for me, just got 10 000 for delivering two vans(a lv 30 mission if that means anything).
MATtheHAT Posted November 27, 2013 Posted November 27, 2013 Every race has been nerfed in terms of money given, I believe xp is still the same unless it's a replay - where it halves. I'm not sure because friends who I play with always pick different races. I'm also not one for spamming the same race. I'm particularly looking forward to the custom game creator, and any single player story DLC. Rumour has it that there is reference in the new update for casino and horse racing gambling, in the form of audio logs from the NCP's.
Rummy Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 How much did or are people getting out of the online on this? Considering picking it up, but thinking given the absolutely smattering of them in CEX it might not be too crucial too soon and might go for SRIV first instead - only thing that'd cut it for me is the mutliplayer and my probably running out soon XboxLive...

I got it at launch and I still play it once in a while. Although once you get a high end apartment and fill it with cars, there's not much else to "achieve" in the multiplayer. After that, it all depends on how much you like the gameplay.

I got a few hours out of it. They tried to do something different and it failed. GTAIV had a much better online.
Tales Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 I have had a lot of fun with it. Stats says 50 hours and I don't think I have spent that much online in a game ever.
Rummy Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Thanks for the feedback guys. My live apparently runs out in April, so I might pick it up before then but for now I've gone with a bit of Saints Row. Hopefully if GTA drops another 5-10 by time I get round to it I'll be able to fund a bit more Live anyway!
Tales Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Update on GTA online. Four variation of capture the flag has been added. It's been great fun so far. Also the creator mode is in beta but it sounds like every can try it.
Mr-Paul Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Did anyone play this yesterday???? It was snowing!!!!
