Beast Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I decided to make a thread about who YOU think should be Christmas Number 1 and why. I'll tell you mine later. Discuss, bitches! :p
Paj! Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I 100% predict that the absolute classic, "Milk" by CocoRosie will rise back up the charts (all digital sales) and steal the Xmas no.1 crown.
Beast Posted December 13, 2010 Author Posted December 13, 2010 I want this to be CN1!!! Also Daft, the Tron Legacy soundtrack is awesome! :p
Paj! Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 *gasp* I never realised iamamiwhoami had released any real songs! Last I heard from them was when their teasers went viral and everyone thought it was Christina Aguilera. That was amazing.
Diageo Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Doesn't the X-Factor song always win anyway?
Daft Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Also Daft, the Tron Legacy soundtrack is awesome! :p Glad you like it. Now this way, if the film is totally duff it will at least be an awesome music video. Doesn't the X-Factor song always win anyway? RAGE says hello!
Jimbob Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Doesn't the X-Factor song always win anyway? RAGE says hello! Allow me to introduce you to the 2009 Christmas Number 1, Diageo
Diageo Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Well I heard everyone was always complaining X-Factor always won it. I guess it was wrong. I couldn't give a crap regardless.
Charlie Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 With all the hundreds of different campaigns running this year there's only going to be one winner. The campaigns are too fragmented and nothing has taken momentum and as we're in the week of the Christmas number 1 then Matt Cardle is guaranteed to win.
Beast Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 (edited) To be honest, I actually don't mind an X Factor song being CN1 for once as I do actually like the song. It's not better than the original, sure, but it's still good. Well I heard everyone was always complaining X-Factor always won it. I guess it was wrong. I couldn't give a crap regardless. How could you have missed that though? It was everywhere, lmao. Even on N-E! One of the members here was forever telling us to get the song multiple times, lmao. Ah, memories... Oxigen_Waste Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 *gasp* I never realised iamamiwhoami had released any real songs! Last I heard from them was when their teasers went viral and everyone thought it was Christina Aguilera. That was amazing. Yup! But... I preffer this one:
EEVILMURRAY Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Well I heard everyone was always complaining X-Factor always won it. That's what prompted the Facebook campaign "Tell Simon Cowell 'Fuck you! I won't do what you tell me!' by doing to what I'm telling you to do instead." I remember when Reggie did the countdown and whatever the X-Factor bloke was at the time "couldn't make it", and one of Rage mentioned they were happy to have broken the X-Factor monotony. I think he was just happy to have a number one single for a change.
Ramar Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Not a particularly good song and I know it won't reach number 1, but proceeds are going to the Teenage Cancer Trust so I couldn't help but buy it.
jayseven Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 That Ken/Harry Hill vid... You know when you see those completely random vids from japan? This is going to go viral over there.
heroicjanitor Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 In Ireland it looks like this will be no.1 for Christmas
gmac Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Clearly it should be the charity "re-recording" of John Cage - 4'33" It's called Cage Against the Machine - 4'33" and it supports 5 charities will all profits going to them http://www.catm.co.uk/ making of video
The Bard Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 In Ireland it looks like this will be no.1 for Christmas I saw that a few days ago. Fucking hilarious.
Ashley Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Wait....Rage Against the Machine didn't win X-Factor last year? Anyway. I don't give a tiny rat's ass.
Jimbob Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I only really gave a monkeys last year, when people in the local bet the X-Factor would get a Christmas Number 1 whilst i bet Rage would get it. I had a couple of free pints, which was nice.
Oxigen_Waste Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Not a particularly good song and I know it won't reach number 1, but proceeds are going to the Teenage Cancer Trust so I couldn't help but buy it. Why not just donate the amount you paid for it to the Teenage Cancer Trust? That way, instead of contributing with a percentage, you'd have contributed all you spent and be one less bad song richer.
