That's one of the coolest things ever. I don't even give a shit about Lost, but the designers are pretty awesome for coming up with the idea.

This arrived yesterday, just been spending most of my time exploring and taking down military bases. ammo is pretty scarce imo, especially if you're using your guns to blow stuff up

People not sure about this game really should go check it out. It really tries to say it is a game and not something else, games are about fun and this is at the top of the fun scale, you can do sooooo much stuff and in turn you just sit in your chair chuckling to yourself wondering when was the last time you had this much fun.

Can't believe more of you don't have this. Granted, it has come at a weird time, but it's a breath of fresh air.

Sure, the sandbox design is totally mind-blowing at times (the sheer scale is insane) but the fundamental tools at your disposal make for an adrenaline fuelled experience.

You can spend literally hours in just a tiny area of the map working through a ton of content before going off to a whole other area and being surprised all over again - ala GTA: San Andreas. The snowy mountain ruins reminded me of Uncharted 2's latter stages whereas running/driving through the cities felt like GTA. There's then the tropical islands which are brilliantly detailed.

I've just been playing it and taking over an oil rig in the middle of a vast lake. As if to prove the scope of the game I was airlifted to the local airport, sky dived out onto the airport roof (take that GTA IV) and stole a jet before plummeting it into the oil rig to destroy it ...all as I was chased by helicopters and as I dived out into the ocean everything exploded in a huge ball of fire!

God this game is awesome. Pick it up when you find the time or cash.

Well, I bought this a few weeks ago for £25 from Asda, having downloaded the demo and managed to keep playing it over and over for about 3 hours with Marcamillian. I came here expecting a bit more of a thread for the game though! I don't know how/why not, but for some reason I'm really struggling to get bored with this game. There's something deliciously satisfying about its ridiculous epic/manliness, and crazy shit just keeps happening. I'm fairly convinced now they've put in a mechanic to make SURE cars blow up after you jump out of them, when they wouldn't if you were in them. Got over 20 hours racked up, and still going. One thing I can say for it, it's definitely a game you can show your friends, and they'll probably love it :D

Anybody on here 100%'d it?

I don't think anyone has 100%d it due to how much stuff there is. It's crazy. I love it - get all the DLC for it for major fun. It's worth the entry fee.

What they offering in the DLC? Also, I've been wondering for a while, but when you blow up pipelines/kill generals/destroy statues/propaganda trailers, and it says stuff like morale or influence being lowered, does that actually even do anything? Other than adding to completion tings?

Not sure to be honest, I don't think that does anything. There are 4 pieces of DLC - First is a free ice cream truck with a snow plow on the front. God knows why but it's good fun. And free! Second up is a monster truck for 80 points. Has a MG and Grenade Launcher attached to the top of it. Good fun :D

The two best bits are the 160 point DLC's though: One of them is a pack which includes my favourite addition, parachute thrusters. Basically you hold RB whilst parachuting and two jet thrusters propel you forward. It also includes a jet fighter with 4 miniguns and double rockets, and finally a multilock missile launcher. The second pack adds the most fun weapon in an Air Propulsion Gun, which is basically like having an ubercharged leafblower as a weapon. So much fun. It also includes a cluster bomb launcher and a shotgun rocket launcher :D

DLC stuff sounds awesome. I love this game. It never ceases to amaze me how much fun you can have. Its like one huge playground where you can be as mischievous as you like. Definitely an underrated gem.

Apparantly they've added a new free piece of DLC called the Tuk Tuk Boom, and just from the name I already know I'll love it as the Tuk Tuk's make me laugh enough as it is in JC2 :heh:

Wish I had a decent enough graphics card to run this bastard. Tempted to still pick it up(£2 til the 19th!) for the vague future possibility I get something that can run it.
