MoogleViper Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 So you're going to look a sheep leap about with your logic? What? 1010
Eenuh Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 So you're going to look a sheep leap about with your logic? Why, though :P I mean, why is a curved figure more appealing to all humans? Is it the instinctual recognition of a caring mother shape? Or are women prey to the same manipulation that men have been through when it comes to advertising, and the use of the female form. While sex has been used to sell anything in the past, notably because men were the moneyholders, the 'degrading' of women as sex objects conversely also empowers them with control of men, albeit through sex. So the female form is attractive both to men as a sex object, but also to women as a means to get what they want with men :P How's that for a debate/argument/point, moogle? Or should I use puppets next time? Eh, I just find it more beautiful because it's aesthetically more pleasing to the eye. Curves are a lot more beautiful to look at than non-curves (like the male body). Pretty much all art students I know agree that it's nicer to draw a female body than a male's, simply because curves are more beautiful. It's like looking at a car I guess. If it's one that has nice curves that flow beautifully, it will be a lot more pleasing to look at than some old model which only has pointy corners.
jayseven Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Eenuh; yes curves are more beautiful, but "curves are more beautiful because curves are more beautiful" isn't really getting to the bottom of it, is it? :P Why are they more beautiful? I guess I can guess my own answer... What? 1010 Precisalingo.

I guess I can guess my own answer... I'm not a psychologist or something so I don't know "why" it's more pleasing. I just know to me it is. I simply prefer curves and flowing lines over pointy, harsh lines. Curves come across more friendly and nice, less brutal, if that makes sense? *Brings out the car porn* See, I don't like that at all haha. Though you can see how the top of the car is still a nice flowing line. =P
MoogleViper Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Precisalingo. Shush you. I've had about 5 hours sleep and still have alcohol in my system.
Retro_Link Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 See, I don't like that at all haha.FLink, control your woman! :p
Dannyboy-the-Dane Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 That doesn't have much to do with pornography though. I know lots of people (lots of women/girls) who agree that the female body is more beautiful to look at than the male's body. Because it simply is more appealing to the eye. Oh, that's not what I meant. I just thought that talking about what makes a female body beautiful isn't as facepalm-worthy when it comes to male thinking. There are much, much worse examples of that. Eenuh; yes curves are more beautiful, but "curves are more beautiful because curves are more beautiful" isn't really getting to the bottom of it, is it? :P Why are they more beautiful? I guess I can guess my own answer... I would guess that the reason a female body is so appealing to men and women alike is because of its association with reproducing and giving life, one of our most basic biological drives. I also think that's why the world is so fixated on sex. It's our instincts.
Shino Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I was wrighting a rather lengthy post on how woman don't have the same evolutionary incentive to be attracted to the opposing gender as man, and how contemporaneous standards of good looks have strict views on how women should be and even man look more effeminate. But halfway through I assumed nobody cared and just deleted everything and went to watch porn.
Fierce_LiNk Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 FLink, control your woman! :p I wish there was some kind of item you could use to control people, like the dominion rod in Zelda. Hahaha. I would have some fun with that. Then, if it fell into Ine's hands, she would control me, and thus she would be having the fun! Ooooh, we better hide this rod so that nobody is in control of someone else. I think both the male and female body is sexy. There are so many things that I love about the female body. The curviness of it, the bits like the lower back, the calves...eveeeerything. Mmm. For the male body, their are quite a few things that I think looks nice. Like a big strong back, that's pretty awesome. I want one.
EEVILMURRAY Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Then, if it fell into Ine's hands, she would control me, and thus she would be having the fun! Ooooh Don't bullshit me Flink, you're pussywhipped anyway.
Fierce_LiNk Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Don't bullshit me Flink, you're pussywhipped anyway. Shit off. We have an equal relationship. Wohoo.
nightwolf Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Eenuh; yes curves are more beautiful, but "curves are more beautiful because curves are more beautiful" isn't really getting to the bottom of it, is it? :P Why are they more beautiful? I guess I can guess my own answer... Precisalingo. From what I recall its to do with child bearing or something, the better the curves the more attractive to a male because of making babies. I'm sure somebody has a more technical version of that.
Pyxis Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Curves as in large breasts and hips? Large breasts = more fertile and wider hips are an advantage when it comes to child birth. Beats me, I don't see curves when I look at a woman.
jayseven Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 SO basically the "caring mother shape" that i mentioned ages ago. Nice one, team.
