Essex Elites 2-2 Dysonism F.C

An important game for both teams and one that Dysonism started off at an incredible pace. Twigg scored his 29th and 30th goal for the club in the 4th and 5th minute. The first goal was a looping header the second a goal smacked in from point blank range. However the Elites played 4-5-1 and had more chances than Dysonism who played a 4-3-3. Ling converted one of these chances with a diving header to mark his first goal of the season in what was a terrific match for him. Hooke who looked dangerous all match took the ball past two Dysonism defenders then laid off the defender Loss who blasted the ball into the back of the net for his first ever goal for his club! The result leaves both teams in mid table and either manager may have taken the result before the game began.

The Sixty Fourthers 2-0 AFC Rez Rabies

A much needed victory for the 64s and a defeat for Rabies which now almost certainly means they will join Cube FC in relegation. Rabies maybe knowing they are going to go down played a youthful midfield to gain experience. Sadly for them this meant the 64s dominated possession and chances made creating 7 against 2. However to the Rabies credit their team held out until the 83rd minute when Gobady threaded in a beautiful through ball that Collins slotted in much to the relief of the home crowd. The 64s midfield then combined as Yaketi sprinted past his man and whipped in a cross for Gobady to head in. The 64s a point behind Rovers can do nothing now but put pressure on them and hope they slip up in these final few games for the title.

Haden United 2-0 Secret United

A battle that saw Haden United keep up their momentum from Fridays game while Secret United failed to escape the relegation zone with another loss. Haden United played 4-3-3 as they had all 3 strikers ready for the first time since the half way point of the season. It was the youth star Marconossi who headed in the opener as he scored his 5th goal of the season. Headon who has been criticized recently did a fine job as the half restarted of setting up Moscardi, who enjoyed a superb game, for a long shot that found its way into the back of the net. The match was tight and neither side created many chances but it was Haden United with their 3 strikers that converted theirs. Haden United now move up to 3rd and seem to be moving away from the relegation battle while Secret United badly need a win to move out of the drop zone.

Emo Blades 1-4 Roostophe Rovers

Blades after shocking the 64s tried to do the same trick on the Rovers but failed to achieve the same result. Rovers utterly devastated the Blades with 4 goals in the first 21 minutes. Mortimer, Bond and Mazzoleni both scored and created one with Bowey also striking in a great goal. The Blades lacked the firepower to fight back with a 4-5-1 formation however Coid got them a consolation goal. The Rovers performance was incredible pure attacking football against a side that has conceded the least amount of goals in the league. A performance worthy of a champion, for the Blades it seems them put right back into the relegation fight.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Emo Blades 1-4 Roostophe Rovers, affects both top and bottom of the league could this be the result that sees Rovers go on to become champs and starts the decline of the Blades?

Turned on the Style Award: Roostophe Rovers, 4 goals in 21 minutes against the best defensive side in the league, oh and they were away.

Player of the Day: Gilberto Mazzoleni, Roostophe Rovers, the most valuable asset that Rovers has stepped up to show his worth yet again.

Edd Kirby Athletic 2-1 MadDog United

Athletic got a great victory to keep their hopes of survival alive. Playing 4-3-3 Athletic seemed to be out to prove they can score goals, after 19 minutes McKenna sprinted away from United's defense and chipped the ball over the United keeper. United who are gunning for a promotion spot hit back as Carey fed a ball through to Carpenter who hit the ball in off the post. McKenna later in the match wrong footed a United defender and again sprinted towards their goalie hitting it through their goalies legs. A super victory for Athletic but a damaging blow for United who are now definite underdogs to be promoted.

Soap Box Utd 1-0 Silverdale FC

Utd scored their 3rd win in 5 games as they continue to make a late charge to try and escape the relegation zone. Playing 4-2-4 Utd held their own in midfield even with only two players against four they created the same amount of chances as Silverdale. Utd scored the only goal as Rosando headed in a goal from a curling corner. Silverdale lacked bite with their defense playing well but their midfield and forwards not quite playing above their average in this game. Silverdale seem destined to stay in the league now but should not be complacent and will want to combine both victories and hard training as preparation for next season. Utd could still escape although they have left it a bit late to make their charge!

Happenstance FC 1-1 Tin Can Club

The two title contenders clashed in a game that could have decided the fate of the championship but in the end left it hanging in the balance. Tin Can Club played 3-4-3 and went out after Happenstance, just before half time the captain Pall lobbed a ball over the Happenstance defense to Einarsson who headed it past a goalie who was off his line. Happenstance who played neither Burbage or soon to depart Ronaldo were still able to hit back. Spajic hit in his 2nd goal in his season as he hit a side footed ball past Tin Can Club's goalie, much to the joy of the home crowd. In the end the game was very tight and a draw was a fair result. Tin Can Club are now 3 points ahead of Happenstance, however Happenstance have a game in hand and a 4 goal advantage in the GD battle. Happenstance has a tougher run in but it will be very tight both teams have a big shot at the title still.

Party at Richters 1-3 Made of Win

With the two teams below them winning it was crucial that Made of Win got a victory and they did just that. Made of Win created 6 chances and converted 3 of them against the awful managerless Party at Richters. The cream of the crop was a long range shot by captain Farrington, his 4th ever goal for the club and his best yet as it curled into the top right hand corner. Richters were abysmal but Lowry managed to get a goal for them before being stretchered off later in the match. Made of Win face a tough run in and will be the targets of Soap Box Utd and Edd Kirby Athletic as they both try to escape the drop.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Happenstance FC 1-1 Tin Can Club, title race could have been swung hugely one way but it is still in the balance.

Turned on the Style Award: Edd Kirby Athletic, great to see this club scoring some goals and playing attacking football.

Player of the Day: Daniel McKenna, Edd Kirby Athletic, the young striker gets two in and keeps his clubs chances of survival alive.

The Adorable Vikings 4-1 Tellstorm

The Adorable Vikings scored their 3rd win of the season as their manager made a surprise return to battle fellow stragglers Tellstorm. Both teams played 4-4-2 but Vikings defender Bache was in controlling form as he made two chances that were both converted. One was shot in by Norbye that was softly hit in off the post from point blank range. Later on Bache teed up the youth Karstang who with a curling shot scored his first ever goal for the club. Tellstorm seemed a tired side wanting a new season to start. Both sides have had a horrible season and need time to rejuvenate, still a nice win for the Vikings.

Recall United 3-0 Mike Strikes FC

United secured an easy victory against Mike Strikes FC who now have a -40 goal difference. United played a few youth players and also put forward a conservative 5-4-1 formation. However they manager to get an easy victory, young star Kay scored his 2nd goal of the season as he toe poked in the ball from close range. Striker Godden had a torrid game but thanks to the state of Strikes defense even he managed to get on the score sheet, he fluffed his shot but it edged off his foot and went past the abysmal Strikes goalie. Zemaj finished it off with a header in off the right post as Strikes marking failed to exist. United has failed to be a threat to teams above them this season but hopefully they will come back after the break ready for new challenges as they are a side with potential.

Complete Domstercool 0-0 DuDs Baggies

Domstercool failed to beat Baggies in a game that could well have decided who will be promoted and who wont. Domstercool rather than going for the win with another striker stuck with their 4-5-1 formation, while this meant they had more possession and chances they failed to push forward and score. Rodwell had a very disappointing game up front for Domstercool he needed a partner badly. As for the Baggies they played 4-3-3 but were unable to get past Domstercools defense or create many chances. The Baggies are now 3 points ahead of Odwinica and Mcoys Sons but have played a game more, making the title race very tight. However this result almost certainly means Domstercool will now not be promoted, unless they win their last 4 games.

Jaffa Munchers 1-1 Mcoys Sons

The Sons held on to their unbeaten record against the Munchers despite a disastrous start. Gee the Sons captain backpassed to his goalie who completely missed the ball as it came towards him. However Jevons lost his man in the box and equaled the scoreline in the 29th minute with his 5th goal of the season. The Sons created more chances but the Munchers held firm for a draw. The result as discussed before makes the title race very close, for the Munchers they now just have to keep on training their players up and wait for next season.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Complete Domstercool 0-0 DuDs Baggies, goalless draw that sees Domstercool surely out of the promotion race and makes the title race very tight.

Turned on the Style Award: The Adorable Vikings, good football shame they didn't play like this all season!

Player of the Day: Paddy Curtis, Mcoys Sons, set up a goal and was great in defense a real future star for the team.

Despite my relegation position, I'm rather pleased with these results. Secret's win was cancelled out by dyson's loltastic loss, and with ell on 14 games and 20pts I could theoretically jump to 4th after friday, as I reckon Gaggle will beat secret. Three wins would surely guarentee my survival, but 7pts would probably do the trick, and 6 could be alright. Really it all relies on Ell being able to get any points at all from his remaining games. I guess it's a bit harsh to think he has no chance! :P

Got my 1st point ever (i think) from Mcoy today. Also even though i only scored 1 goal my strikers seemed to love todays game.

My form is looking good and everyone that is in my plans is definately getting their 100% experience, so i'm expecting a decent change report this season.

As for the league... Odwinica are in a prime position to take the title now, being only a point behind me with a game in hand and a superior goal difference, it'll all come down to his final game of the season: Mcoy's Sons at home.

Tense stuff at the top of the bottom

Roostophe Rovers 1-0 AFC Rez Rabies

Rovers took a giant step towards becoming champions as they defeated a tough but now doomed Rabies. Both teams played 4-4-2 but Rovers clearly won the midfield battle as Rabies midfield had a pretty poor game. This led to Rovers gaining nearly 60% of possession. After 8 minutes Grover headed in his first goal of the season as Monington curled in a fabulous cross. Rabies attackers were on fine form but were not given enough of a chance to hit back. Rovers now barring a disaster seems odds on favorites to win the title after this tough battle. Rabies can be encouraged by this result but now need to focus on rebuilding.

Secret United 3-1 The Sixty Fourthers

A crucial game for both teams was a bruising encounter. Both sides suffered 2 injuries a piece with one of those injuries for each side being a serious injury. Importantly for United the injured were youth who were replaced by skilled veterans for the 64s the opposite was true. As most of these injuries occurred before any goals had been scored this fact obviously had a part to play in the result. Regardless as the 2nd half began United with 5 midfielders pushed forward against the 64s creating chance after chance. MacCalman and Brusling the two stars of United led this charge as MacCalman set a goal up for Heinze, while Brusling controlled the midfield and scored a penalty in the 74th minute. The 64s defense was in very poor form as the team saw their title hopes slip away, Collins scored a last gasp goal for some pride, but this game was very damaging for the 64s. For United it shoots them out of the relegation zone and puts their fate in their hands.

Dysonism F.C 1-2 Cube FC

A shocker of a result as Cube FC scored their first victory of the season away to Dysonism F.C. To begin with it all went to plan as two legends (who have nearly 300 games between them) combined as Brobeck crossed a ball in to Spheeris who slotted in the 113th goal of his career. However immediately after this event Gould took a shot that went in off the post to level the game immediately. Moments later Gould intercepted a misplaced pass and went towards Dysonism goalie Potter who was beaten easily. Potter had a horrific game the polar opposite of Gould who enjoyed the game of this life. Dysonism pushed back with chance after chance but a Cube defense inspired by Valle held firm. As the final whistle blew the Cube FC fans went wild as they celebrated their first win that moved them a point behind Rabies. Dysonism fans went home worried thinking this may have been a result that could have banked them safety.

Essex Elites 2-3 Haden United

An epic encounter between the Elites and United ended with United taking all 3 points. Dinsdale and Calcone combined to score an early goal as Dinsdale shot a cool goal past the goalie. The Elites 3-4-3 formation seemed unable to cope as in the 2nd half it was 2 when Headon scored his much awaited first goal of the season, slotting it neatly in the corner. Brubage blasted the 10th goal of his career in to make it 2-1 as the Elites began to fight back. However Dinsdale who had a superb game struck in a beauty just outside the box. With a minute to go Brammer curled in a free kick to give the Elites some hope. However it was all over as a hard fought contest left United in 2nd place in the same camp as the 64s. While the Elites now looked to other games to give them a much needed win to guarantee survival.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Secret United 3-1 The Sixty Fourthers, United needed a win and got one, Fourthers needed one and didn't this game has huge effects on the top and bottom of the league.

Turned on the Style Award: Secret United, 11 chances his midfield outplayed one of the best teams in the league and helped United win in style.

Player of the Day: Paddy Gould, Cube FC, the 22 year old scores his first 2 goals of the season in the game of his life to gain Cube FC his first victory.

Other reports will follow tom but its better for my sanity not to do them all in one day lol

Made of Win 2-2 Tin Can Club

A result that may have cost Tin Can Club the title turned into one that because of other results may have secured it for them. In their last away game of the season Tin Can Club needed to salvage something and they just about did. Tin Can Club playing 3-4-3 were obviously after a high scoring victory and struck first, when Omarson headed in his first goal of the season. However Made of Win playing 4-3-3 were also looking for a victory and a minute later hit back, Acreman volleyed in a brilliant goal from a well worked corner. Just before the half was up Noel broke through Tin Can Club's defense and was tripped and awarded a penalty which he duly converted. However with almost all the possession Tin Can Club spent the 2nd half attacking a shaky Made of Win who finally caved as Einersen headed in a cross from a corner. Made of Win just stay above the relegation zone and Tin Can Club extend their lead at the top to 4 points and are a point away from officially being promoted.

Edd Kirby Athletic 4-1 Soap Box Utd

The reborn attacking Athletic continued to win admirers as they trounced Utd 4-1 in an important game. In 6 minutes the captain Hill had set up two goals one a superb cross the other a threaded through ball and scored a goal of his own, a half volley, to basically end the match. Athletics midfield of 5 was superb and Utd were limited to 2 chances 1 of which they converted as veteran attacker Rosando headed a goal in. Edd Kirby Jr who also had a great game set up Saeys who smashed home a long range effort. Athletic won the game emphatically and now do not have the least amount of goals scored that honor falls to Soap Box Utd! Both clubs can still escape but momentum seems to be with Athletic.

Silverdale FC 2-1 Happenstance FC

Silverdale FC continued to be the unpredictable team of the league as they beat big guns Happenstance FC. Silverdale gambled playing 4-3-3 on a weakened midfield being compensated by a strong attack. They only made 3 chances to 7 but converted 2 of these! The first was a goal by McBrain who shot in a lay off from a set piece free kick. The 2nd was a great goal by Lightbody who turned his marker to slot one in. Happenstance exerted pressure with chance after chance but with Panic replacing the soon to leave Ronaldo their attack lacked edge. Panic had a awful game and the goal for Happenstance in fact came from a deflected own goal. Silverdale after this win could still go up although their goal difference hampers them. As for Happenstance this could be the game in which they lost the title it is now out of their hands.

MadDog United 0-0 Noodle FC

The two teams that seem most likely to be contesting the last promotion spot clashed with it ending in a 0-0 draw. United who managed to beat Noodle away could not beat them at home and now Noodle FC have all momentum in the last few games to decide who will be promoted. United oddly needing the win more than Noodle played a 5-3-2 formation and while excelling at defense created only two chances and looked unlikely to score either. Noodle were more creative but were unable to get past Uniteds excessive defense. For Noodle though this was not a problem while they have never beaten United they look more likely to be promoted after this stalemate.

Analysis

Most Important Result: Silverdale FC 2-1, keeps Silverdales promotion dreams just alive and hurts Happenstances chance of being crowned champions.

Turned on the Style Award: Edd Kirby Athletic, the new attacking force in the division! 3 goals in 6 minutes cracking stuff.

Player of the Day: Fredrick Hill, Edd Kirby Athletic, set up two and scored one a masterful display in midfield by the 23 year old.

Lower League will get a double header asap apologies amigos!

Arg! 90 mins to go! It's almost as if the match has started!

... Yeah. Melodrama :P Jimbob; I'm uncertain about what to 'do' with my team just yet. It depends on my change report, really. My team isn't getting stronger as such, instead I'm replacing my 30+ 7 skill players with 20-25 7 skill players, so on paper I'm expecting to still be a weaker team in the top tier, but hoping that, give it a few seasons, I'll really start to cause trouble.

I'd say your 30 year old keeper really is simply a waste of space. You could pick up a 3-skill 17 year old for way less than half a mill, so definitely look into it. I'd also say you don't need 8 defenders. Sack your 28 5-skill dude, and unless you get a beast and sack another space-taker, don't bother replacing him. Sack your 32 4-skill midfielder, too. If you never play them and if they're over the hill, then why keep them!

er... yah! Good luck to everyone, except the bastards i want to lose in my league.

Fuck's sake, Secret injured two of my players - my goalkeeper and a youngster who probably won't get any more experience now, plus somehow I didn't have a sub defender so a midfielder came on instead. (I hope my team switched to a 3-5-2 after that.)

On the brightside, although I'm now level on points with Haden, Haden has played a game more. Plus I'm still two points ahead of gaggle. It's still there to lose, though.
