I remember having A-Spec (3). I have very vague memories, but I just remember the menu music and interface to be really relaxing. In fact, the whole thing was.

May wait to see if this is good when my friend buys it.

I've never owned a gt, the only racing games I owned(as in not borrowed from my racing enthusiast friend) are the mario kart games. I amn't particularly into them but gt5 looks like it has everything under the sun, if I get it I'll probably not need any other racing games. Also my friend will quit badgering me to get it, he won't be lending it anyway.

Hopefully, if i can get someone to come with me, i'll ring around my local GAMEs and see if any are doing a midnight launch. If so, i'll be going and getting myself a Collectors Edition!

Might be a simulator but its more accessible than most arcade games without resorting to steering and braking for you. Karts should be alot of fun online Plus the if its like GT5P then it will have different modes for players(starter, beginner, intermediate etc.) for online play.

 

I am tempted by the Signature Edition.

I also want to know this. I tried asking in the GTPlanet forums, but it got buried amongst everyone shitting their pants over Royal Mail delivering it on release day or not...

 

Also, there's a thread on the GTPlanet forums where one of the more respected members there has the game early and is giving hands-on impressions.

Yeah I think I need to sort out a steering wheel. Probably the GT wheel as its affordable. Probably would use some table though as opposed to an ironing board :p

Fo' real, I've not looked forward to a game this much since Halo 2. I'm not really bothered about any 'spoilers' (except the ones on the back of the cars), heck this is a racing game, not some story based epic, so I'm totally digesting any morsel of information I can get.

Retailer ShopTo has told IncGamers it has asked its staff to work throughout this weekend as it prepares to send out orders for what it has described as ‘our biggest ever pre-order’.

 

The online store, which previously told IncGamers it has seen pre-orders ‘go through the roof’, said today: “Our first consignment of Gran Turismo 5 will be arriving at our warehouse Saturday morningâ€.

 

Speaking to IncGamers, ShopTo’s Phil Driver said GT5: “Will be our biggest PS3 game of the year, we are still taking more pre-orders every day at the moment, it also looks like it might be our biggest ever pre-order.

 

“We are very confident that we can fulfill all orders for release day. All our warehouse staff are coming in over the weekend and working double shifts.â€

 

Driver also confirmed that the retailer’s warehouse staff will be working solely on GT5 this weekend, stating: “Over the weekend they will only be working on GT5.â€
