Ellmeister Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Hell yeah bitches! Its that time of the year where tickets are coming out. Today the Reading and Leeds festival website has announced, that the tickets will be coming out at 7pm on March 30th! No tickets at the box office. Which is shit for me since I'm at Reading University, so I could have gotten tickets there! :@ Oh well! Its going to be a major shit storm. Hopefully I will come out victorious with tickets!
jayseven Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I've promised that I'd go to the Isle of Wight festival this year, and maybe Bestival and Small World. Main thing is I really, really suck at seeing in the dark so I either have to hassle a friend to be my guide dog each night, thus limiting what they can do, or just get lost frequently. It's rather limiting and very annoying.
Kirkatronics Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Im thinking about going to Leeds Fest, if i have funds for it. Me and 2 other friends are all gonna try get some tickets.
Ellmeister Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 Does anyone know the better websites to get Reading tickets?
Kirkatronics Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Does anyone know the better websites to get Reading tickets? Davey_t will, ill show him the thread.
Davey_T Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Try and get through on seetickets because they get the biggest allocation but that obv means theres more people trying on it so try a smaller one as well like ticketline. Me or someone else will try and get a backdoor link on here so you can get right to the front of the queue. If all else fails, hmvs sell tickets the morning after they go on sale but you'll have to get there early.
Dyson Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I imagine this thread will sink in to the depths after the tickets have gone on sale and we're waiting for the festival, only to be revived every now and then as headliners are revealed and the buildup to the festival rises. Bet I'm right Last year Twozzok and me failed to meet up at Reading Fest Shame. If more people are heading to Reading we should totally meet up at some point, though. All about Reading Fest for me as I can't seem to stop mentioning.

Bet I'm right Failing that, the slightly older Live Music thread. Which this is basically a 2009 only copy of.
Dyson Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Weeell, not really. Arguably they could be the same thread but there's enough difference between the two for them to be separate. This is where we'll want to be when the tickets are released, trying desperately for hours to get tickets from backdoors that Davey posts.
rizz Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I bought most of my festival tickets last year lol. This year I will be attending Ragnarok, Hellfest, Wacken, and Bloodstock.
Platty Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Gonna hit up Latitude again this year me thinks. Will be it's 4th year and my 3rd year attending. Headliners announced and tickets on sale on 23 March at 7pm What I like about Latitude is it's not only a music festival but also has comedy, film, theatre, poetry, literacy, caberat including some great burlesque. Not to mention all the "after hours" entertainment like disco in the woods
nightwolf Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 download After years of trying I'm definately going this year. Usually I would hit give it a name, which is kind a ''mini'' festival. But it gets annoying standing for 12 hours straight. Theres meant to be an annoucement for download tonight, I'm praying rammstein after years of trying might actually make an appearance at download..: peace:
Dyson Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 It's Faith No More for Download. Quite surprised! Should be an awesome band for you to see live, though!
Ramar Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 download After years of trying I'm definately going this year. Usually I would hit give it a name, which is kind a ''mini'' festival. But it gets annoying standing for 12 hours straight. Give it a Name should be renamed - The Popular Emo Two Day Event. The line up this year is even worse than the last two.
nightwolf Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 haha 2007 was pretty damn good! Skipped 2008 because I wasn't going when paramore were..eurgh, I do like paramore, but the fan base is ridiculous. I'm so glad billy talent are at download. Yays.
GothicPlague Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Give it a Name should be renamed - The Popular Emo Two Day Event. The line up this year is even worse than the last two. yeah because Thursday are real popular. I should be going to Give It A Name for Thursday alone. Then maybe if I have money I'll try get Leeds tickets and see if I can find some mates to tag along with.

Then maybe if I have money I'll try get Leeds tickets and see if I can find some mates to tag along with. I based my post on previous years line ups too, which if I'm not mistaken include My Chemical Romance, Lostprophets and as already mentioned Paramore. Sorry if it upset you that a band you liked was a part of my collective ignorance.
Davey_T Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Give it a Name should be renamed - The Popular Emo Two Day Event. The line up this year is even worse than the last two. You thought the 2007 lineup was bad? Its like one of the best lineups of any festival iv seen in my opinion. 5 bands in my top 10 of last fm played

Its like one of the best lineups of any festival iv seen in my opinion. 5 bands in my top 10 of last fm played It was probably the best line up they had, still there was a lot of bands there that year, a lot of crap bands.
or else you will DIE Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 sux that Wireless festival is only 2 days this year :/
soag Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Faith No More OMG Download is looking awesome this year . Shame I wont be there though .
McPhee Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Download for me this year, the line-up is incredible so far! Dreading the stage splits though, if they put The Prodigy and Faith No More on at the same time i'm gonna crack up! They need to clash with Def Leppard, because i couldn't give a hoot about them :p Might go to V or Leeds/Reading again, will see. Kinda feeling a break is needed from those two though.
Noodleman Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Going Glastonbury again watching the boss don't care who he clashes with. After going to Glastonbury I wouldn't go to another festival in the UK apart from the ATP ones.
