Daft Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Haha! I never have bought a virtual item, nor will I ever unless it is actually of any worth. Free all the way, thank you very much. My Home apartment looks ace actually, and everything in it I got free. I'm loving my new Fat Princess throne.
Happenstance Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Looks like this is going to end up being an overnight download, im only on 12% I really hate my internet connection
Daft Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Just played it quickly. It's pretty smooth. The lip sync is a bit rubbish. The health regenerates after every wave, so to speak. So far so good.
Cookyman Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 (edited) Quite a good sized demo - and the gameplay is pretty top notch. Very intuiitive controls too. I can't see this being a massive single player experience so have added it to my rental ist but yeah the game is good. Edited August 6, 2009 by Cookyman
Daft Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I love the inverted take down. Hanging down from a gargoyle and then grabbing anyone that passes below you. I also found two Riddler's Secrets. I love when you put on detective mode you can see the heart rate of the henchmen and they progressively get more and more freaked out as you take them out one by one. I'm liking the combat. It kind of reminds me of Assassin's Creed which might put some people off but I liked it. Batman has a real presence while playing and so does the Joker, always coming in over the intercom. All in all, it looks very promising. I'm not really a fan of stealth games but this seems to nail it.
Mundi Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 Great, I´ve been waiting for years to get a Batman stealth based game.
MATtheHAT Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I've been pleasantly surprised by this. I always just assumed 'meh'. But its good, really good. The first thing to strike me was the graphics, just wow, so much detail. I will definitely pick this up.
dwarf Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 It was enjoyable. I think the gameplay will remain interesting and mixed up but I want there to be a bit more to te combat. There will undoubtedly be more gadgets and stuff, but will will it be too easy and simple? I liked stealthing around, not sure if that was me being awesome or the AI being purposely being forgiving. Still, I will definitely want to borrow it off someone if they buy it.
Happenstance Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Finally managed to try the demo this morning, really enjoyed it. I am going to have to work on getting better though as I got shot a few too many times during the last encounter.
Zechs Merquise Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Haha! I never have bought a virtual item, nor will I ever unless it is actually of any worth. Free all the way, thank you very much. My Home apartment looks ace actually, and everything in it I got free. I'm loving my new Fat Princess throne. You see, I have a real apartment and I decorate it with real items and actually live there lol
Daft Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 You see, I have a real apartment and I decorate it with real items and actually live there lol *Round of applause*
Happenstance Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 One thing I think this game seems to be doing well is the feel of the combat. When you see Batman punching or kicking someone it actually looks like it would really hurt, compared to some games where it just doesnt feel right.
Ganepark32 Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Downloaded the demo on the 360. I was pleasantly surprised with it. The combat was fluid, the stealth was great and I can see there are some nice ways to take down the bad guys in stealth. I'm skeptical over the length. It is afterall set inside one building that may be big but it'll quickly get monotonous if there isn't much in the way of change or new items/techniques for stealthing. I'll probably be getting this on the PS3, for the Joker stuff (even though it'll probably appear on the 360 at some point although it'll probably be paid for DLC) so was strange to download it on the 360 to test it but then the download times for demos on the PS3 are horrendous even though I have a very good internet connection.
Daft Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Took me half an hour to download and install. The install took surprisingly long. I wonder hat they have planned for DLC. Hopefully it's more than just Challenge Rooms.
Mundi Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Just played it and loved it. Exploding of hype as I type.
ReZourceman Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Just played it and decided its awesome and will be purchased.
Dan_Dare Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Just played it and decided its awesome and will be purchased. I agree, and I don't even have to alter any of your spelling when I quote you to say so :p
Daft Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na naaaaaa BATMAAAAN!!!
Happenstance Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Id love some alternate costumes for this game at some point, along with other playable characters like Nightwing, Robin etc
Daft Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 The Hut have put the price back up to £34. Too many people must have gone for it.
Happenstance Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 Yeah I just noticed that myself when me and Goafer were looking at it
