Oxigen_Waste Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Oh... so me and Mundi really were the only neutrals left. How jolly. Well then, liar liar, mr Fish!
Mundi Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I´m curious about one thing about my role. There had to be 6 people left (depending on if none of my targets got attacked) and that neither the good or evil mafia would win during that? If so it would be quite impossible for me too win...
Oxigen_Waste Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Again, I'll ask the following, why the hell did the evil get classed as runner ups? I mean, if the good win, they either get killed or cast in jail or something, right?
Mundi Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Not to be a bitch but this game as a case of "not thinking things trough"
Zell Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Go team! So ten good guys, eight neutrals... that makes seventeen evil? I'm not too sure if things were unbalanced (I'm not sure what the evil powers were), but if we lost Esequiel and you guys figured this out as quick as you should, we would have stood no chance.
Mundi Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 The thing is no one would come forth and say the good are bad because they have would have automatically be stamped as evil if they don´t sound convincing enough. And the evils were very very busy killing each other too which didn´t really help them...
Cube Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Agreed, the mafia don't usually have that many even in a normal game! So we had very little hope in a game where the roles were reversed. See this: Dammit. All the people i suspected of being good mafia were good mafia. I don't quite understand, how did they win? We assumed that when you had realised that the good were the mafia then you would have known who a decent portion of them were. Which was the case. Unfortunately it took a bit longer for people to realise than we anticipated.
Raining_again Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Gutted... It was doubly hard for the evils. Once someone investigated you, you were done for. And being on your own, not knowing who was who.. My power only involved role-blocking and potentially silencing people, so i never got any info.
darksnowman Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Us piglets got ruffled yesterday, but we didn't outright know we were in fact evil... were we actually evil? Or really a GOOD mafia? We just worked as best we could cos we always felt the odds were against us. One wrong move with Esequiel and it would have been game over. General Plimp would be proud!
gaggle64 Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Well, I got kidnapped the first week, then spent another week waiting to eat darksnowman while placating him with info (as far as I'm aware). So basically I ended up doing nought.
darksnowman Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Well, I got kidnapped the first week, then spent another week waiting to eat darksnowman while placating him with info (as far as I'm aware). So basically I ended up doing nought. You did what to me? I got a note sayin you were a hostage and I was held at ransom a few days.
gaggle64 Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 Basically my power was that I could give "helpful information" to a person for five days, and then I would eat them. I have no idea what kind of info that could be, but since I assumed most if not all of my evil colleagues were dead or dying, I figured I may as well use the other side of the blade and get a weekly meal, but ran out of time.
Mundi Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 *pelvic thrusts randomly into the air* I hate you..... I hate you all! :Þ

Gizmo You are Jamey Farrell (24), a mole in CTU obeying an evil organisation for some quick cash. Your specialty is messing up roles. LazyBoy You are Le Chiffre (Casino Royale), a terrorist who makes his money through gambling and has a tendency to attack a man’s testicles with a knotted rope. Your specialty is torture. Each night you may PM me with a target to torture and extract information from. Since you are so fond of gambling, you have a 50:50 chance of getting the correct information from your suspect. You are evil. You win when the Mafia controls the town. mr-paul You are The Boulder (Raiders of the Lost Ark); a sinister rock perched precariously in a temple in a Peruvian jungle. Your specialty is chasing and trapping people. Each night you may PM me with a target who you wish to chase after and entomb for one day. During this day, your target will not be able to use their role, and there is a 75% chance they will be silenced. You are evil. You win when the Mafia controls the town. Raining again You are Dr. Charles Nichols (The Fugitive), a researcher for Devlin-Magregor, a pharmaceutical company who you faked test results for in order to release a potentially deadly drug into the market. Each night you may issue the drug Provasic to a target of your choice. There is a 50% chance that it will protect them for a night, and a 50% chance that it will poison them. Once poisoned, your victim will have four days to live. You are evil. You win when the Mafia controls the town. Haggis You are Silas (The Da Vinci Code), a murderous man of the lord who will do anything to prevent a devastating secret from being exposed. Your specialty is sorting out the blasphemers. If you are investigated whilst in the house, the information given will be that of the owner of the house. You are evil. You win when the Mafia controls the town. You will use the first target’s power against the second target. You are evil. You win when the Mafia controls the town. Jonnas You are Theodore “T-Bag†Bagwell (Prison Break), a deranged prisoner on death row with a disturbing past. Your specialty is stealing. Each night you may PM me with a target you wish to steal from. If your target is in possession of an item, you will instantly gain it, otherwise there is a 25% chance you will gain their power for a night. You are evil. You win when the Mafia controls the town. Nintendohnut You are the Test Card Girl (Life on Mars), a surreal hallucination encountered by Sam Tyler as he tried to escape his coma and his imprisonment in 1973. You win when the Mafia controls the town. ShadowV7 You are the polar bear (Lost), a mysterious entity who has adjusted to life in the jungle. Your specialty is covering up a crime scene. Once a crime scene is revealed, you will have the ability to devour one of the bodies to prevent any investigation or further incriminating evidence information coming from the autopsy. Maase You are The Joker (Batman), a violent clown-like criminal who commits crimes for his own amusement. Your specialty is gambling. Each night you may PM me with a target you wish to present with three cards. Depending on which card they pick, there is a chance they will escape unharmed, be silenced and unable to use their power for a day, or that they will be mortally wounded (in this case they will die after a day). The fish You are Hannibal Lecter (Silence of the Lambs), a cannibalistic serial killer cum psychiatrist. Your specialty is psychiatry. You may PM me with a target who you wish to offer your services to. If they accept, they will be given helpful information, but if they decide to keep your services for five days, you will eat them. You are evil. You win when the Mafia controls the town. Gaggle64 You are Miles Edgeworth (Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney), the “demon prosecutor†who almost always seems to be able to win his cases. Your power has three uses. You can use it during the day, and when you wish to use it, you may PM me to revoke the last three votes in the game. You are evil. You win when the Mafia controls the town. Ellmeister
DomJcg Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Too Epic!!! thats awesome!! Thank for a greast final day mundi :D you really made it hard
Esequiel Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Heres some exerpts from our little chats that im sure you will all find funny: This if quite amusing. Mundi really is gonna go bonkers if we get through this. If we keep Esequiel then we need to think carefully about who to knock off tonight. They might all protect each other so maybe if we just get rid of someone quiet to deplete their numbers even more. After the initial scare of them being onto us, I'm kinda enjoying this. Mundi has a vendetta against me /cry Just want to reiterate that if we can survive without being lynched we will hold the majority vote. We will have 8 people, if i survive one more bad will die which means 15 people 8 is majority. We have nearly won lets confuse people and keep the day alive without dying! What the hell is Dyson doing voting for Esequiel?! God knows, but if we vote for say nut, we can stall and end the day WE CAN STILL WIN Hehe, I liked my cover story of "What? A good mafia?!" If I don't make it past tonight guys, I love you all.For great justice! lol Honestly if i had been evil during this game i would have noticed something was wrong on day 3 at the latest. I expected you lot to pick up a lot faster on this lmao. Good job good guys, was alot of fun playing! Dyson get your mafia started prz >.> Also what was doms role... its not in the good section.
Nintendohnut Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Honestly if i had been evil during this game i would have noticed something was wrong on day 3 at the latest. I expected you lot to pick up a lot faster on this lmao. Good job good guys, was alot of fun playing! Dyson get your mafia started prz >.> Also what was doms role... its not in the good section. The problem was that we've had a game like that before (can't remember which one) in which the town was 'getting lucky' every night and day for a few days, and constantly killing off mafia players. We just thought it was that, and since we couldn't communicate this just added up (because even though we had killers apparently, they spent the first few days killing their own team and then were lynched or whatever). So we just thought it was blind luck, and seeing as 3 goods died we didn't really notice anything until a few days before mundi said anything. And the problem then was, if we spoke out we would be branded as evil and lynched if we weren't convincing. As well as that I personally wasn't completely sure what was going on and wasn't going to stick my neck out to be proven wrong and killed. Very annoying, I feel you had it relatively easy, but still well played. Pleased I got it right though (Mundi obv did as well, much more so than me too)
chairdriver Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 So the good mafia couldn't communicate? Or could they?
Esequiel Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Yes we could all talk :P Night 3: not sure who to target, is there anyone so far that has revealed himself as a protector/investigator that isn't a part of this group if so I can target him to see who targets him but other than that my powers are limited edit: and I seriously urge you to take out Mundi, the guy is a seriously good player and has one 4 of 5 games so that's something to watch out for Lol, yeah. Whats up with the mafia? I'm waiting on some revelation that roles have been reversed and that we are the mafia or something. Night 2: Im in Jonnas house, taking his life's Day 8: Posted: Apr 18 2008, 05:36 PM 25 minutes to go.... If we get away with this we deserve medals. I just checked the thread and seen the day was to end at 19.00... so I think we made it, phew. Reading through whats been posted, I'm happy enough to kill Volcom off. I think it would be a good idea to take out someone who's not been doing much because the others will probably be protecting each other- and the Nut has eluded Esequiel before at night. I'm not sure what kind of line we should take tomorrow on this, but hopefully we'll make through without losing one of our good selves. I'm about to send my PM- I've got your back, Mr. Bond. Just a few more bits from our chats
Mundi Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Maybe you didn´t notice my question but.... How was I supposed to win? Because the mafia won by having a majority and I would have won when 6 people were left. Did that mean that I would have won when there were 6 people left before the mafia or town reached their victory condition?
chairdriver Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Maybe you didn´t notice my question but....How was I supposed to win? Because the mafia won by having a majority and I would have won when 6 people were left. Did that mean that I would have won when there were 6 people left before the mafia or town reached their victory condition? Yeah, to win you had to make sure the mafia didn't win before you.
Mundi Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Which is kinda hard.... seeing as I could block and protect and the mafia had a player who could prevent roleblocking.
Shino Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 This was with out a doubt my worst game. As soon as I saw the bad guys couldn't communicate it became obvious it would be rather difficult to win this.
