Singleness!

Don't worry, this is a common side effect of watching Torchwood.

I share Ashley's annoyance with shopping list coupling. By that I mean those times when people say, "I really need a girl-/boyfriend," and so latch on to the next person they meet out of some sense of requirement. Boil-in-the-bag relationships go against everything I stand for.

I like Torchwood. :(:heh:

I agree with your point about shopping list people. It kinda ruins the whole magic as well. If I had the choice of how I could meet somebody, it would just be on a boring or ordinary day, because then at least it's out of the ordinary or random, or something or other.

Equally, I don't like people who are like "OMG! SINGLENESS RULES! MEN SUCKS!"

Ah jayseven someone once bought me a lily for valentines day, now before everyone starts blabbering on about death flowers. They are my favourites and it was the nicest thing to know someone knew that.

Didn't want anything else ^.^ it was great.

Aww, link don't worry so much. I'm sure your loverly and will find somebody ^.^

Ah, I got her a couple of things she did want for the day, mind. She got me things she wants me to want -- new clothes and stuff. I'm a guy, I like dvds. How hard can it be..

I had a nice night in with some of my ladyfriends last night, and we just watched Torchwood, had a curry and talked. After that, I had a pretty good nights sleep, so I woke up with a spring in my step.

The first thing my housemates asked me was "did you have sex last night?"

Hah, no. :(

It's been a long time since I've truely been intimate with somebody. I've kissed girls and done many naughty things, but it's never really given me that warm fuzzy feeling. I wouldn't say I'm either happy or sad, just that little middleground where everything "s'alright."

Need some romance I think.

You're such a player, Flinky. Up until about 6 months ago I'd never really been that close to any girls, I would talk to them at school regularly but would never really see any outside school. I started talking to this girl who I'd had a thing with for a while and now we're really good friends (see my first post in this thread). I also get on well with her friends but I never actually see them unless I'm with her at the time. Also I get on really well with 2 of my flatmates who are both of the female variety.

I wouldn't say I'm a player or anything. I just prefer girl's company to that of men, the majority of the time. 90% (probably more) of my friends are female, I just find them easier to talk to.

Then, there's always the problem of girls thinking you're gay because you mostly hang around with girls. It's guaranteed to happen at least once a month.

I had a taste of what it was like to be in a relationship a few years ago, and I sure as feck would like a bit more of that cake.

I've grown tired of being single, I need to get out and find myself a girl... :(

...but no-one takes me SELIOUSRY...

Thats because you support Aston Villa...

:indeed:

I get asked wether I'm gay all the time, and I don't really hang around with any girls. It gets quite annoying at times.

.. even tho im not single im gonna post..

.. when i was single (many moons ago..lol).. i hated the idea of getting into relationships.. (i mean my mum and dads wasnt great so that put me off greatly) and i hated the idea of loosing my independance..

..but now i like being in a couple but i also like having "alone time" where i get to listen to crap music/play sims 2 and generally do things that greg wouldnt like..lol.. (pokemon ahoy!).. but dammit when hes not there i miss him

.. and i hate valentines day.. this year as i cant afford it at all!

i do like the presents aspect..

I know. I had a friend who came out of a five year relationship and I admit, I have no idea what thats like but he was all mopey and talking about suicide (would never have the balls to do it but was self-indulging in his own misery) and we all rallied and tried to make him feel better best we could. set him up with some new girl (which he denies was within two weeks but was) and now nobody hears from them.

valentines day is rubbish.

I agree. It's not so much about the blatant commercialism (although that does annoy me) I just find it stupid that I need an excuse one day a year to express to someone how much I care about them. I can do that anytime and often do! : peace:

You don't often get a chance to prove your love in public though.

You can propose, or whatever, any day of the year, but it won't get the same response as it does on Valentines.

Fuck the public. I never cared for what anyone else has thought of what I do. Sensationalism is what makes relationships go wrong in my opinion as Ashley has well illustrated.

Professing your undying love in public is how I think about marriage, which is agood thing. But that's a long way off for me.

Please accept this Welsh love spoon as a treat for reminding me. Much better than some chocolates or garage flowers you'd get on Valentine's day eh?

BTW, no girls sent me any card's so I'm still single, meh.
