flameboy Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Hrmmm... In the description for the 30 days of free PSN plus it says that all the titles are "free to play for 30 days". I thought titles bought with ps plus were kept forever? No only games you buy with the discount of Playstation Plus are kept. The freebie games expire...although having said that I have the odd game that does still work without my subscription.
Aimless Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 My guess is that they like the idea of Sony allowing Battle.Net on their console.
Burny Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 And/or Activision cracked their "make-more-money"-whip. In any case, of all current Blizzard games, Diablo seems like the most natural fit for consoles. It's big on cooperative play and the concept can work reasonably well with a controller (unlike SC/WC).
Shorty Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I couldn't get on the store at all today, kept getting errors. Once got as far as pressing "download" on the MK9 demo, but it froze for about 5 minutes, then popped up with an error, then froze permanently. The MK team must be kicking themselves for only putting the demo on PSN, just before it went down and just as the game was released. Will have lost them loads of sales.

Debug Mode Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 My god, just getting as far as to seeing the welcome back package is a pain in the ass on the PSP.
Cube Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Just had a blast on Burnout Paradise, It still, obviously, rocks. Aye, it's still a lot of fun. Played the singleplayer enough to unlock my favourite car (R-Turbo Roadster) so I'm ready for online. I still remember the entire map. I suppose that's what happens when you play a game for over 1000 hours.
LegoMan1031 Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Well after lots of error codes and everything else last night i managed to download Dead Nation and Infamous + activating playstation plus. On the subect of Burnout: Paradise meeting, i would be interested also!
Cube Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 (edited) Aye, it's still a lot of fun. Played the singleplayer enough to unlock my favourite car (R-Turbo Roadster) OK, so apparently I haven't. Even though it's clearly been autosaving, I've just loaded it and it's forgotten everything. Edit: OK, for some reason not all the updates seemed to load (some options from the car menu - such as Legendary Cars - were missing). So when you start it I'd suggest going back into the junkyard and checking that Boost Specials, Toy Cars, Legendary Cars, etc are in the menu. If not then you'll have to quit out and load again. dwarf Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 3325 MB. Worth it. Turns out there's a 5 part patch for new downloaders. I'm at the second part and it's 254 MB. Fuck sake.
Choze Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I guess Blizzard likes the PS3. Thats pretty awesome. Loving WOW right now. Starcraft 2 would be cool as well. Well done Sony.
Aneres11 Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 You only get to play the game for 30 days? Frankly, there are better games i'd rather be playing for the next month than the ones Sony are offering. Not being ungrateful or anything but that's pretty crap. I'd rather just download them and then play them when I want not have to do it in 30 days. They should've classed it is a welcome back 'rental' package.

The two games you get free with the welcome back package you get to keep 'forever'..... (in my case Dead Nation and inFAMOUS since i own the others). It's only normal free games with plus that you would lose. (Streets of Rage 2 being an example).
Cube Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 I think you're getting confused. The games in the "Welcome Package" (the choice of two from five) you get to keep. The 30 days is for this month's PS+ games (which is a rental service), which includes Burnout Paradise.
Aneres11 Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 Then I will shut the hell up right now. My bad. Thanks for clearing that one up though!
