Calza Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Actually the Live number is only for Gold, paying members. And 41 million PSP's have been sold and 16.84 million PS3's against Xbox 360's 22 million. Sure you've got the pc games but most use the same gamertag as their 360 and there is maybe 5000 max still playing xbox1 online. So yeah good figures.

dwarf Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Thanks for the heads-up Daft, will consider it. But seriously, wow, I wonder if anyone has accidentally paid for it...
Gizmo Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Yeah, same goes for Live. The numbers arent good either way. Much like the percentage of people of people who really play on hd tv's. Even those who do many probably use a iffy Samsung. Shows you were Sony and Ms went wrong. Seems like Sony and MS tried to go too far ahead with online compared to Nintendo who had it right. From a business perspective. The only good thing is that with PS3, since it has everything, seems to encourage the use of online. Wonder what Wii figures are like. "iffy Samsung"?
dwarf Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Not all Samsungs are high quality I guess, although a Goodmans HD TV would have been a better example.
ShavenWolf Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 I never knew that Samsungs had an "iffy" reputation! My 2005 23" Samsung HDTV is still serving me proud.
Deathjam Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Bowling on home is alot of fun. Almost like the real thing but obviously fake cos I am actually good at it (the virtual one that is). Made all the better by the fact that a real life friend is in the beta and we were talking over the phone while playing.

Deathjam Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Does this mean you can't talk in-game? You can, just we both could not be bothered to get our headsets on. Well mind needed charging so phone was convenient.
MATtheHAT Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 I can definately see the potential in Home. I got the invite on my Jap account, and at the moment......its a bit dull. The bowling and pool are good for 10 minutes with a friend, and there is a cople of good videos/trailers. But as i said, its got potential to be something special. Funniest thing is doing the 'Robot' dance in the middle of Home Square, while a mate is doing the 'Running Man' dance. I laughed anyway.

I only ask because I have a japanese email in my junk mail that I obviously can't read! Wondered if it might be an invite or just junk...

I only ask because I have a japanese email in my junk mail that I obviously can't read! Wondered if it might be an invite or just junk... It had the Home logo plastered all over it, and there was a 12 digit code in there. So I just put 2 and 2 together. P.S, I have sent you a message on the XMB. EDIT: Although I recieved it on a Japanese account, I signed in to home using my UK account and everything is in English. Also everyone else in there is from Europe. Therefore shareable.........

Jav_NE Posted November 25, 2008 Posted November 25, 2008 Home should be good, but its never going to be 'complete'. It will always be added to with updates and new features etc. It's a constant beta model. In other news, i'm selling NFS: Undercover here if you're interested.
flameboy Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 So did anyone pick up Stardust Portable? Worth the price of £6.29 (whats with the price, seems an odd price point... noticed last week Sim City for PS1 was that price, thought PS1 games were all a standard price?!)
MATtheHAT Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Just treated myself to a PSP. Anybody recommend any games? I have already bought: God of War SOCOM FTB 1 + 2 Metal Gear PO Killzone Liberation Games I will probably be buying over the next few days: Patapon Syphon Filter Final Fantasy VII Also, has the PSP still got a decent online following?
Domstercool Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 If you're getting Patapon, get the locoroco games as well.
ReZourceman Posted November 27, 2008 Posted November 27, 2008 So did anyone pick up Stardust Portable? Whaaaaaaaa?
