ReZourceman Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 Disaster Movie took under one month to film. This carpet-fouling mongrel of a movie no more deserves release than do anthrax spores.
Ashley Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 So do most films...in fact I think the average shooting of a film takes 21-28 days.
ReZourceman Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 So do most films...in fact I think the average shooting of a film takes 21-28 days. Really? Anything Ive ever read says the average is 2-3 months. *Shrugs*
Nami Posted September 6, 2008 Posted September 6, 2008 I think it's based on how many different sets they have to deal with really, if there situated far apart, I've always heard it's more like 2 months.
Retro_Link Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 Spidey 4 & 5 and Venom http://uk.movies.ign.com/articles/908/908198p1.html Spidey 4 and 5 Set? Raimi, Maguire may shoot sequels back-to-back. US, September 5, 2008 - Spider-Man director Sam Raimi and star Tobey Maguire have reportedly reached deals to reprise their respective duties for not only Spider-Man 4 but a fifth installment in Sony's web-slinger franchise as well. Furthermore, the studio is mulling filming the sequels back-to-back a la Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings in an effort to minimize the problems in reassembling the cast. According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, Maguire's deal was only very recently made as a source for the site claims that Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal had been spending the last few weeks looking for possible replacements. No deal has been made yet for Kirsten Dunst, but DHD insists the studio won't recast the role of Mary Jane Watson. However, there will be a second female role included this time . As for the villains, DHD columnist Nikki Finke reports "Sony is taking its time officially hiring the movie's villain since principal photography doesn't start on Spider-Man 4 until next fall because of the recently postponed May 2011 release. I am told, however, that 'once you find out who the villain is, you'll know who's playing it.' That should lead to speculation that Dylan Baker's character of Dr. Curt Connors will ultimately turn into The Lizard as he did in the comic books." DHD adds that Daniel Gillies, who portrayed John (the future Man-Wolf) Jameson in Spider-Man 2, might also be a contender. The site adds that the next Spidey sequels won't be as dark as Spider-Man 3 or The Dark Knight. "Peter Parker has no dark side himself. In Spider-Man 3 it was the black costume. Peter Parker's struggle is about sacrifice," DHD's source said. Venom Takes Two UPDATED: Zombieland scribes hired for spin-off. US, September 5, 2008 - Even as Sony Pictures moves ahead with plans for Spider-Man 4 & 5, the studio is also actively developing the spin-off film Venom, featuring the monstrous alien villain brought to cinematic life in last summer's Spider-Man 3. According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, Sony has tapped a pair of unidentified writers to script Venom. Mean Creak scribe Jacob Estes had previously hired to pen the screenplay but the studio decided to go in a new direction with different writers. And what of Topher Grace, who played Venom's alter ego Eddie Brock? DHD says, "Given that comic book artist/writer and action figure maker, Todd McFarlane, who is one of the creators of the Marvel villain, doesn't think a Venom movie could do well with a villain as the central character, my sources think Sony should let Topher Grace, even though he was blown up at the end of Spider-Man 3 (yet a portion of the Venom costume survived), stay in the role because the likable actor could be a a sympathetic evildoer." But might there be another actor angling to don the black suit? MTV posted an interview with Vin Diesel last week where the Babylon A.D. star said he wants to play the title role in an unspecified Marvel villain movie. Makes you wonder, don't it? UPDATED, 9/7/08: The Hollywood Reporter has now revealed that the new writers of Venom are Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who also penned Zombieland for Sony. Lost all interest in the Spiderman films due to the awefulness that was [Venom] Spiderman 3. So they'll need to do something pretty awesome to draw me back. I'm pretty fed up of whiney Maguire tbh though! don't think he's particularly good in/right for the role any more. And in the Venom spin-off, surely Venom would need a new host. They'd have a hard time explaining Topher Grace continuing the role. Although they'd probably come up with something lame, like he wasn't vapourised, just blown over the side of the building. Or the symbiote was able to re-grow Eddie Brock or something.
Mundi Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire return for Spiderman 4 and 5 http://www.firstshowing.net/2008/09/05/sam-raimi-and-tobey-maguire-officially-returning-for-spider-man-4/ Well after 3 they can´t make it any worse right? Retro_Link Posted September 13, 2008 Author Posted September 13, 2008 Devastator in Transformers 2?.. http://uk.movies.ign.com/articles/909/909376p1.html US, September 11, 2008 - With Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen now well into production, fans have been left wondering what new giant f***ing robots will appear in the Michael Bay-directed sequel. A new report online claims to finally have the answer. Transformers World 2005 says it has "received confirmation that the combiner Devastator will appear in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." According to the site, "Seven construction vehicles merge to form Devastator." (IESB first reported the rumor awhile back.) In established Transformers lore, these vehicles are referred to as Constructicons. TFW2005 says the sequel's Devastator will possess great upper body strength and will be green, red and yellow in color. They also claim that concept art by Josh Nizzi that leaked online is authentic. Devastator appeared in the first Transformers film in the guise of a modified M1 Abrams tank (referred to as both Brawl and Devastator by different sources). Not really knowing much about the Transformers Comics/Cartoons I don't get it! Devastator was in the first movie as a tank. So how can they now have Devastator being made up of Constructicons in the sequel, and have him in different colours etc... why not just go with someone else? or why have him as a singular Decepticon in the first? I'm just taking this as a rumour! Also... http://uk.movies.ign.com/articles/909/909376p1.html Arnold Really is Back Schwarzenegger spotted on T4 set. US, September 11, 2008 - "I'll be back," indeed. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been photographed and videotaped chatting with actor Christian Bale on the set of Terminator Salvation, the fourth installment in the franchise that began with Schwarzenegger starring as the titular cyborg. Ever since T4 became a reality, fans have wondered whether the Austrian Oak would be involved with the sequel given his political commitments. According to a scooper for Latino Review, which has posted a snapshot of Schwarzenegger and Bale having a casual conversation on the set, the "premise of Arnie's involvement is to have a fully rendered digital face of Arnie replacing the recently cast Roland Kickinger (The younger version of Arnie)." The site adds, "It seems the Director Mc G will in no doubt try all he can to ensure the Governator has some sort of involvement and as a result Arnold was on set providing key ADR (Voice over) for the visual effects guys to reference during post production." A fully rendered digital Arnie face on all the robots, not liking the sound of that! They'd better do it well or it will look shit!! Plus, won't he now look old!
Paj! Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I'd prefer they didn't make any more Spidey films, or at least recast Spidey. (And I hate recasts) Tobey Maguire is just so depressing, both as an actor, and just his face. Nothing like spidey.

Oxigen_Waste Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 It's going to be hard to top Casino Royale, I'll tell you that... =/
Paj! Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 I've still not seen Casino Royale. I have no particular desire to...just can't be arsed. I enjoyed the stupidness of Die Another Day, so yeah. I'm not the biggest Bond fan.

(even if there's only about 5 of them which are good movies)

Oxigen_Waste Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Add Goldeneye to that list. It's one of the 5. Dr. No From Russia With Love Goldfinger Goldeneye Casino Royale However, it's the worst out of 5 (although personally, I'd say Dr. No is the worst out of the big 5).
Dante Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Hollywood are doing sequel doing to Donny Darko. S. Darko takes place in 1995, 7 years after the original film. It follows Donnie Darko's younger sister, Samantha, who, in the wake of his death, has found herself at age 17 with a broken family, mired in feelings of insignificance. When she and her best friend Corey are plagued by bizarre visions, they set off on a road trip to Los Angeles, following Frank's ghost. They arrive at a small town in the midst of a meteorite crash and begin to see the future.

This was announced aggggges ago (Infact, I think it finished shooting a few months back), it's out next year. It's got Ed Westwick from Gossip Girl in and the one playing his sister is the same actress as in the previous film. It's out next year sometime. Richard Kelly is not involved, instead Chris Fisher is directing.
Dan_Dare Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 it will be utter, unfathomable shit. saw it here first, yeah?
Paj! Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Could be funny if they make it really unlike the original, but still odd. But yeah, it's totally uncalled for.
The fish Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 it will be utter, unfathomable shit. saw it here first, yeah? If it some how, even by accident (ie by being comically bad) turns out to be a classic, you are so getting called on it. However, I think your bet is a safe one.
Dan_Dare Posted September 15, 2008 Posted September 15, 2008 oh, please do. I'm always willing to be proven wrong if something turns out good not that it will. I mean, lol.
