Shino Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Mass effect super cheap on Amazon if people still have not tried it out. Only 1.79! That's my luck, when I'm about to do it, it goes up again.
Deathjam Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 One of the private sellers sells for 1.79. See here.
Nolan Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 So, who else is downloading BF: Heroes? Played in the beta, hated it.
MadDog Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I probably will, i only played the Beta for a few hours, so wouldn't mind seeing what it's like with all the updates.
Dyson Posted August 9, 2009 Posted August 9, 2009 Planetside is free for a month if you had an account previously, god damn I love the game to pieces. Clocked 6 hours on it today and took part in a GM event that allows our faction to temporarily use technology from others. So much fun.

Happenstance Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I could use some help, ive gotten an urge recently to play some Civilization style strategy games where you are controlling a town/city whatever. It doesnt really matter how old the game is, infact a bit older is probably better considering how powerful my laptop is. Anyway if anyone could give me any suggestions for that kind of game on the PC that'd be great. Im just having a hard time remembering any.

I cant find any legal copies though, so you can only get it via dodgy means.
Dyson Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 TF2 update! Classless. http://www.teamfortress.com 18 more hats are awesome, I've seen a few of them whilst playing today, but that doesn't change the fact that I havn't got any >
Cube Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Just curious, if I get a Wired 360 Controller for my PC, will I also be able to use the 360 headset with it?
Nolan Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Just curious, if I get a Wired 360 Controller for my PC, will I also be able to use the 360 headset with it? Yes, my friend actually does that just so he can have a headset.
Cube Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Yes, my friend actually does that just so he can have a headset. Awesome. I want to start playing TF2 again, but I can't last more than 5 minutes using WASD without getting pains in my hand.
Nolan Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Well that sucks, I can't say how the controls are or if TF2 supports the controller, as my buddy still uses the Keyboard Mouse combo with the controller just sitting on the desk.

I know that the controls are fine (it's the same as the 360 version - as long as you type "exec 360controller" in the console).
Gizmo Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Awesome. I want to start playing TF2 again, but I can't last more than 5 minutes using WASD without getting pains in my hand. The hell way are you WASD'ing?
Cube Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 The hell way are you WASD'ing? Other control methods will still use the keyboard.
Shino Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Can you actually be competitive with a gamepad on a PC fps?
Gizmo Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Other control methods will still use the keyboard. I mean like, how the hell do you get hand cramps from WASD? It's three fingers lying in perfectly natural positions::shrug:
Cube Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Can you actually be competitive with a gamepad on a PC fps? It wouldn't be much different to how competitive I am at FPS games, anyway. I mean like, how the hell do you get hand cramps from WASD? It's three fingers lying in perfectly natural positions::shrug: I have odd fingers that have bizarre natural positions. My inner two fingers naturally sit on top of the other two fingers.
Nolan Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Can you actually be competitive with a gamepad on a PC fps? To an extent yes. A pad will never match the speed and accuracy of a mouse, but with some skill you can still put up a good fight. And in something like TF2, it will depend on the class alot too. Sniper, I'd say no, Spy yes Solider to an extent pyro yes, and so on and so forth. Cube, maybe you could try an ergonomic keyboard or perhaps customize the controls to a comfortable position. The first thing I ever do with controls is make Left Shift Crouch since it's too damn hard to hit Left Control in the heat of battle.
The fish Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Try a speed pad, they have a wee D-pad for moving (better than it sounds) and a good 20 keys to assign to whatever you want.
