Ramar Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Thank god, the spuds only get the mickey mouse cup this year. Shame Everton went out, they deserved to go through.
Daft Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 That was terrible from chimbonda. Jesus. Blame Jenas. He should have won it with his penalty.
spirited away Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 , they deserved to go through. So did we! 5-1
Ramar Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 So did we! 5-1 Your lot don't deserve anything. As for the subtle five one, took your time beating us, and your still a mid table team.
spirited away Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Your lot don't deserve anything. As for the subtle five one, took your time beating us, and your still a mid table team. I don't care. 5-1 We're an honest team and we have an honest manager who work hard for what they earn...of course we deserve what we get. We're not bad losers as well. We love you one-eyed Wenger.
gmac Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 and they've won more trophies than Arsenal have in the last 2 years
Platty Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Thing I liked about Ramos last night is he made positive tactical changes early on in the 2nd half that other managers would never do. He took off king for a striker and at one point had 4 up front. Was a brave move and paid off as you got the goal. Most managers would never do that. They would just bring on a striker with 10 minutes to go or something. I think spurs deserved it and so easily could have had it. Damn penalties.
Charlie Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Woohoo! I had a scorecast on Diego to score and Bremen to win 1-0!!! 14 smackeroonies, thankyou very much, William Hill (50p bet on 28/1 i think it was).
Dog-amoto Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Bollocks. Oh well, at least we can concentrate on the league now. We should have won that tie though, we were by far the better side in the first leg and should have won comfortably. And we made a pretty good show at it last night, especially with half our first team missing. We should not have sold Anelka until the summer, even if it meant we only got half of what we did for him.
Noodleman Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Champions League quarter-final draw: 1 Arsenal v Liverpool 2 AS Roma v Man Utd 3 Schalke 04 v FC Barcelona 4 Fenerbahce v Chelsea Champions League semi-final draw: 1 Arsenal/Liverpool v Fenerbahce/Chelsea 2 Schalke/Barcelona v AS Roma/Man Utd very good draw for united that.
darksnowman Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Tough draw for the Pool that sets up another Liverpool v Chelsea semi final. The Uefa Cup is looking like it could have a quality final instore for us. If Bayern get through against Getafe and then Leverkusen then basically, imo, any of the other teams except Lisbon in the final will make it a good one.

darksnowman Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 We'll show you. Bastard. And its Sporting. Lol, apologies for disrespecting your team/ country. I just see the likes of Fiorentina, PSV and Rangers and think that if either of those three get through against Bayern then it will make for a good final.
Shino Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Its my team, I wouldn't care otherwise :P. I think your just used to the other team's names.
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 That's a pretty good draw. Although, if we do beat Roma, I wouldn't be looking forward to the idea of playing Barcelona. That should be a pretty good game for the neutrals, though! Arsenal/Liverpool...my money is on Arsenal.
kyletherobot Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Liverpool are through to the final again. And against Barcelona would be my guess.
Intensity Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 champions league draw fixed? read this - http://forums.liverpoolecho.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=33755 also gaining weight on the news websites - http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2008/03/14/mystery-as-champions-league-draw-appears-on-internet-two-hours-early-89520-20351088/
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Bluddy hell...wonder what this will mean if it turns out to be true.
Shino Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 What's the big deal? People win the lottery every time, someone just got lucky.
Gizmo Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Hahaha. If true, thats pretty awful, who's to say they haven't fixed draws before hand? If untrue, the guy who made that thread must be lolling so much. Hahaha.
Ramar Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 and they've won more trophies than Arsenal have in the last 2 years Careful with comments like that only Chelsea fans deal with history in such small intervals. I don't care. 5-1 We're an honest team and we have an honest manager who work hard for what they earn...of course we deserve what we get. We're not bad losers as well. We love you one-eyed Wenger. Seventy One! Two Thousand and Four! Seventy One! Two Thousand and Four! --- As for the draw not what I wanted, but with respect to Liverpool, I'd rather play them now than the other English teams. And I'd say most Liverpool fans would probably rather play us. considering our poor form, and tendency to fail in Europe.
Fandango Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Not really happy at the draw, Arsenal are the one team I wanted to miss playing! Have to play them 3 times in one week now, and with the Everton derby on the week beforehand it really should be an interesting to see how we cope. Anyway, I predict Arsenal will play better but we'll get through nonetheless, perhaps courtesy of Torres
darksnowman Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I think I was hoping not to get Arsenal. It depends how it turns out I guess. Arsenal have the tendency of killing us but hopefully if it gets in their heads that its a Champions League game then maybe they will falter. If the match is played like a league game then they will probably win... though I obviously hope not. Still, the seminal Liverpool v Chelsea semi final looms!
Demuwan Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 UEFA fixed this. Its so bloody obvious. Still don't really care, if we play full team (RVP, ADE, CESC, ROSICKY, HLEB FLAMINI, TOURE, GALLAS, CLICHY, SAGNA, ALMUNIA) we will have more than enough to beat Liverpool.
gmac Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 wouldn't really surprise me about the draw being fixed, Uefa are as corrupt as FIFA
